Brie’s POV
I felt like a queen before her royal subjects; that’s how many eyes turned to the dark green Durango as Lynx pulled up to the school.
Why was everyone staring?
This wasn’t the first time Lynx’s Durango was seen at the school. The only difference was the passenger, but they couldn’t know that. Could they?
Lynx got out of the car and walked around to my side, opening the door for me. He offered a hand and helped me out. This was the closest to royalty I would ever get.
The moment my hand collided with his, it seemed like time stopped, and the entire school’s attention was drawn to us. I hated being the center of attention. Before this town, I didn’t mind, but after what happened, attention only put me in a negative space.
He opened the back door, grabbed my book bag out, and tossed it on his shoulder. What was he doing? Did he intend to walk me to class or something? This was not in the arrangement.
