After that… argument? conversation? Kade didn't show up in front of Felix for almost a week. He was still around, of course, Felix could sense his presence, but that was to be expected. His original reason why he came to Silverfall was to find the mermaid, and he hasn't accomplished that yet… However, with him not coming to bother Felix, Felix almost started believing he convinced the Alpha that they weren't fated mates…

But would it be that easy?

Of course not!

And so, on one snowy afternoon, Kade showed up in Crossroads. First ordering a meal, and then just waiting around. For Felix to finish his shift.

Four hours later, he was still waiting. Even as the bistro closed, he still remained in his seat. No one dared to ask him to leave, so he just sat in place, as the evening team cleaned.
