A month passed both swiftly and yet felt incredibly long.

Xu Yuan felt that during this month, he had done nothing but cultivate and study. Yet, it was also the most fulfilling time of his life—far more meaningful than his first six years in this world.

Perhaps this was the feeling of cultivation.

"Teacher, Uncle, I'm leaving."

Zhen Hua wore an expression of deep emotion, while Mu Ye appeared completely unconcerned.

"Xiao Yuan, let me accompany you to Tianhai City this time. Since it's by the sea, it'll be more convenient for me to find ingredients for you."

Although Xu Yuan wouldn't be using heavenly treasures to boost his soul power anymore, regular nourishment was still essential.

Xu Yuan didn't refuse.

Mu Ye wasn't just providing delicious ingredients—his culinary skills were truly exceptional.

"Xiao Yuan, make sure to solidify the foundation of forging. Don't neglect it. For at least the next year, you must meet the same standards as this month every day. Stay in contact with your uncle over the phone—he'll assign daily tasks for you."

"Uncle, I will," Xu Yuan promised confidently.

Leaving Tiandou City, Xu Yuan felt unexpectedly lighter.

"Xiao Yuan, your soul power has already broken through to level ten. It's time to purchase a spirit soul. Have you contacted your uncle about it?"

Mu Ye had fed Xu Yuan so many excellent resources that it only took five days to bring him to level nine. However, breaking through from level nine to ten was slightly more challenging, and the effects of consuming too many heavenly treasures began to diminish. By the time Xu Yuan reached level ten, he had already spent half a month in Tiandou City.

During the following two weeks, to avoid delaying his training, he hadn't returned to Tianhai City to absorb a spirit soul.

"I've spoken with my uncle. He said it should arrive within the next couple of days."

Shrek City

Spirit Pagoda Headquarters

Top Floor

This was the office of Qiangu Dongfeng, the Pagoda Master of the Spirit Pagoda.

A researcher wearing a white lab coat adjusted his glasses, holding a request form in his hand.

"Pagoda Master, this is a request from Spirit Emissary Xu."

"Oh? What kind of request?" Qiangu Dongfeng paused his work.

The researcher placed the materials on Qiangu Dongfeng's desk and began explaining their contents.

"Pagoda Master, Spirit Emissary Xu wishes to retrieve a temporarily sealed spirit soul from the research institute. We didn't dare make a decision and need your approval."

Qiangu Dongfeng glanced over the materials and quickly understood which spirit soul Xu Shengqun was requesting based on the researcher's explanation.

He didn't immediately approve.

Even though it was a request from a Spirit Emissary, he would usually agree without hesitation unless he needed the requested item himself.

But Qiangu Dongfeng clearly had no use for this spirit soul now.

Still, he didn't give his approval outright.

Flipping through the materials, he found a report below the application.

It detailed the recent activities of the Tianhai City Spirit Pagoda, including internal disciplinary reviews, and concluded that everything was proceeding smoothly and order would soon be restored.

After reading this, Qiangu Dongfeng nodded and stamped the application.

"Deliver the spirit soul to him."

"Yes."

After the researcher left, Qiangu Dongfeng tapped his desk lightly.

Soon, a clerk entered.

"Look up the information on Xu Yuan."

Qiangu Dongfeng had already guessed the purpose behind Xu Shengqun's sudden request for a hundred-year spirit soul with just a fleeting thought.

"Xu Yuan?"

"The son of Xu Zhi, Xu Yuan. His information should be in the Tianhai City Spirit Pagoda database."

"Yes."

"Pagoda Master, we've found it. Xu Yuan, martial soul Tianyuan Brush, innate soul power level seven."

Qiangu Dongfeng narrowed his eyes slightly and nodded slowly.

Level seven. Nothing to worry about.

Xu Shengqun had compromised.

This also meant that Xu Shengqun no longer intended to pursue the matter from a year ago and was now solely focused on nurturing this nephew.

After understanding this, Qiangu Dongfeng revealed a gentle smile.

"I see. You may leave."

Tianhai City

Xu Family

"Uncle, I'm back!"

Mu Ye hadn't followed Xu Yuan back to the Xu family home. After arriving in Tianhai City, he disappeared on his own.

Seeing Xu Yuan, Xu Shengqun was quite surprised.

After a month apart, Xu Yuan's demeanor had changed significantly.

He was still as composed as ever, but now there was an added layer of determination in his steadiness, and his eyes seemed to shine with newfound brilliance.

"Not bad." Xu Shengqun was satisfied.

Bringing Xu Yuan back to the main hall, Xu Shengqun began asking about his experiences over the past month.

"You plan to pursue all three professions simultaneously? And even attempt to learn auxiliary forging techniques?"

What was the difference between this and trying to master all secondary professions at once? Xu Shengqun was shocked by his nephew's decision. To be honest, although Xu Yuan had spoken to him on the phone during the month, he hadn't mentioned this at all.

He had assumed his nephew was diligently studying mech design under Mu Ye.

"Uncle, the theories of mech design, manufacturing, and repair are relatively easy for me, especially mech design—it comes naturally. The basics of mech repair are also closely related to mech design and manufacturing, so learning them together isn't much of a burden."

"Uncle is a level nine mech manufacturer, and my teacher is a level nine mech designer. With your guidance, I can avoid many detours."

As for forging?

With Zhen Hua personally instructing him, Xu Shengqun couldn't say much.

"Moreover, my teachers have already tested my theoretical knowledge. I've passed with flying colors—even receiving excellent evaluations." Xu Yuan reassured Xu Shengqun once again.

Hearing this, Xu Shengqun finally relaxed.

Perhaps it really wouldn't be a problem.

Brain Martial Soul

Xu Shengqun knew this wasn't solely due to Xu Yuan's brain martial soul. Xu Yuan's natural intellectual capacity and learning ability undoubtedly played a significant role. He had always been precocious, with thinking abilities far surpassing his peers and even rivaling adults.

"Since your teacher and uncle have no objections, your current performance is at least satisfactory. Uncle will do his best to teach you mech manufacturing."

Though Xu Shengqun had given his consent, he quickly grew serious and warned Xu Yuan.

"Xiao Yuan, remember that mastering the basics of each secondary profession is just the beginning. For the first three levels of the mech-related professions, the focus is primarily on theory, with only minimal practical experience required. However, beyond that, every level becomes increasingly difficult to achieve."

Xu Shengqun didn't mention forging.

With Zhen Hua personally guiding Xu Yuan in auxiliary forging techniques, it was clear that Zhen Hua would act as Xu Yuan's official blacksmith during the forging process. Under his mentorship, Xu Yuan would have a much easier time.

"Uncle, where there's a will, there's a way. I believe I can master these three professions simultaneously."

Xu Shengqun didn't try to dissuade him further.

Xu Yuan's conditions were indeed outstanding, but precisely because they were so good, he had become overly confident.

Xu Shengqun knew he couldn't persuade him now.

He could only wait until Xu Yuan felt the strain himself and came to realize it.

Sigh.

He hoped it wouldn't delay Xu Yuan's Battle Armor production.

"Your spirit soul has already been approved and will be delivered to the Tianhai City Spirit Pagoda tomorrow. Tonight, adjust your condition and come with me to claim your spirit soul."

"Great!" Xu Yuan was overjoyed.
