"Cai Lao, can you give me that Fate Skull Bone from earlier?" Xu Yuan asked.

Cai Yue'er's lips twitched.

You little rascal, don't get too outrageous.

How could they possibly possess the skull of an Auspicious Beast?

"The request needs to be reasonable. Even if you asked for a hundred-thousand-year soul bone, we could fulfill it."

Xu Yuan nodded.

"I'd like to know first—does Shrek Academy have a library? Or some kind of archive?"

Cai Yue'er hadn't expected Xu Yuan to ask this question.

She nodded.

"Of course, we do."

"What about meditation techniques? Are there records of the meditation techniques of Shrek's predecessors?"

Xu Yuan was asking a lot of questions, but this was all part of his attempt to gather more information before making his request. The more he asked, the more it demonstrated his caution.

"Yes."

"Then I want permanent access to Shrek's archives to review materials." Xu Yuan made his decision.

Cai Yue'er frowned.

This was achievable, but choosing such a request—wasn't it a bit wasteful?

Studying theory?

For a seven-year-old child, studying theory wasn't unreasonable, but Xu Yuan already had too many branches of development. Adding theoretical research on top of everything else at this stage seemed excessive.

However, recalling Xu Yuan's key question about whether there were records of predecessors' meditation techniques, she relaxed slightly. She guessed Xu Yuan might not be studying theory but rather trying to refine something using those predecessors' methods.

Still, this far exceeded what someone at Xu Yuan's level should be delving into. Cai Yue'er worried that Xu Yuan might neglect his cultivation because of this.

"It's possible."

Cai Yue'er hesitated, but Zuo Shi, sitting beside her, spoke up.

The three examiners for the final trial were Cai Yue'er, Zuo Shi, and one other.

Cai Yue'er gave Zuo Shi a puzzled look but didn't object outright.

And just like that, Xu Yuan's perfect score reward was decided.

Xu Yuan and the others were directly admitted to the Inner Court.

Wang Hao, currently a senior student in the Inner Court, was tasked with guiding the new students.

"Senior, what are the main responsibilities of Inner Court disciples?" Xu Lizhi asked.

"The main task for Inner Court disciples is cultivation and upgrading their battle armor. Of course, the academy will also assign some missions during this process," Wang Hao explained, looking at the three as he introduced life in the Inner Court. "Your ages are too young—you can't do much right now. For the next few years, your focus should be on cultivation. The seniors in the Inner Court can essentially act as your teachers."

"Do you see that over there? That's the Sea God Pavilion. Even regular Inner Court students may not qualify to enter," Wang Hao said, glancing enviously at the three.

Clearly, Xu Yuan and the others had a chance.

"Xu Yuan passed the Inner Court trial with full marks, and the two of you also passed. It's likely that during the formal enrollment ceremony in a couple of days, you'll be taken to the Sea God Pavilion."

The enrollment ceremony was primarily for Outer Court students.

Most Inner Court students were promoted from the Outer Court, so they didn't have an enrollment ceremony—perhaps just a personal celebration among themselves.

However, there were exceptions. For instance, cases like Xu Yuan's group, who entered the Inner Court directly, would have an enrollment ceremony—but it wouldn't be held together with the Outer Court.

With Xu Yuan's perfect score, entering the Sea God Pavilion was inevitable.

"That's all for the important notes—they've already been mentioned earlier. The most crucial thing is cultivation, and that depends on your own efforts."

Wang Hao escorted the three to the dormitory area and then left.

"Let's each settle into our rooms first."

The Inner Court students' dormitories were individual villas, separate houses.

Xu Yuan and the others each chose an empty house, arranged their belongings, cleaned the rooms, and then regrouped at Xu Yuan's door.

"Senior Wang Hao mentioned that all transactions within the academy are conducted using contribution points. How many points do you guys have in your accounts?"

Xu Lizhi scratched his head. "I have five hundred."

"Five hundred." Ye Xinglan also had five hundred.

Xu Yuan nodded. "I have a thousand points."

"When Senior Wang Hao introduced it, he said that aside from food expenses, everything in the academy requires contribution points. We should figure out the value of these points and how to earn them," Xu Yuan suggested.

"What do you think we should do, Brother Xu Yuan?" Xu Lizhi asked.

Ye Xinglan wasn't talkative, but she listened to Xu Yuan attentively.

"To earn contribution points, it's either through trade or completing tasks. Trading-wise, at our current stage, we're likely only going to spend contribution points. As for tasks, I'm not sure if forging or secondary profession work counts. By the way, what are your secondary professions?" Xu Yuan asked.

"I'm mecha repair," Xu Lizhi replied.

"I'm mecha manufacturing," Ye Xinglan added.

"What level are you both at?"

"Level two." ×2

Xu Yuan understood.

"At level two, you should already be able to accept some tasks through the relevant associations to earn money. Similarly, our academy likely has similar associations where we can earn contribution points."

Xu Lizhi and Ye Xinglan nodded.

"Of course, since we haven't encountered any situations requiring contribution points yet, there's no rush," Xu Yuan said, leading the two toward the cafeteria.

Though Xu Yuan had lived two lifetimes, Xu Lizhi and Ye Xinglan were truly just seven-year-old children.

Under Xu Yuan's mature tone and natural leadership presence, Xu Lizhi and Ye Xinglan readily followed him.

The three were the only special admissions students to pass the trials in recent years and were the youngest members of the Inner Court. They would naturally interact frequently, and Xu Yuan quickly established himself as the core of the group.

While eating, Xu Yuan taught Little Fatty the soul power circulation technique of the Great Devouring Heaven and Earth Technique.

Whether due to talent or sheer motivation, Little Fatty managed to grasp the basics by the end of the meal.

As thanks, Little Fatty happily ate ten percent more food than usual.

Ye Xinglan frowned throughout the meal.

She strongly disapproved of Little Fatty eating so much—it wasn't healthy for his body to grow too fat.

"My Great Devouring Heaven and Earth Technique enhances not only digestion but also absorption. As long as Little Fatty keeps up with physical exercise, he won't gain weight."

"Little Fatty, practice the Great Devouring Heaven and Earth Technique diligently. This secret technique still needs improvement, and I'm counting on you."

Xu Lizhi nodded vigorously.

"I just checked, and the academy does indeed have associations for all secondary professions. I got the general locations—we should go join them first."

"Mm-hmm."

"Brother Xu Yuan, should we split up? Oh, and what's your secondary profession, Brother Xu Yuan?" Xu Lizhi asked curiously.

"Just call me Yuan-ge from now on," Xu Yuan replied. "As for my secondary professions—I've studied mecha design, mecha manufacturing, mecha repair, and I've reached level two as a blacksmith."

"Huh?" Xu Lizhi was stunned, incredulous. "Yuan-ge, you've learned four secondary professions?"

Ye Xinglan looked as though she'd seen a ghost.

Where did you find the time to learn so many things?

One was already exhausting enough.

Xu Yuan chuckled, pointing to his head.

"My brain works better."

My brain surpasses everyone else's!
