Wu Rui summoned his martial soul—a pristine blue tome materialized in his hands.
Though shocked by Yuanen Yehui's transformation, his confidence remained unshaken. As a control-type soul master, he countered power attackers like her.
The pages of his Celestial Tome flipped open to the first section. Instantly, countless thick, ink-green vines surged forth, tangling toward Yuanen Yehui.
Her massive frame left no room for evasion. She charged headlong into the onslaught, her fist already aimed at Wu Rui's face. Even as the vines coiled around her, the force behind her punch remained undiminished. With a brutal swing, she shattered entire sections of the binding—yet the remaining vines still hindered her advance, keeping her just out of reach.
---
Below the stage, Tang Wulin watched with envy.
'This level of control is something my Blue Silver Grass can't achieve.'
Though his vines shared similar restraining abilities, they were far too fragile!
'Maybe once Little Gold is further enhanced by the Golden Dragon King's bloodline, my Blue Silver Grass could rival those vines in toughness?'
But even then—against higher-tier opponents, how much would that really help?
---
Back on the platform, Yuanen Yehui stayed focused. Though entangled, her raw strength allowed her to tear through the vines effortlessly. Yet their sheer numbers meant a full-speed charge would only distribute the resistance, slowing her down.
With swift rips, she cleared a path. Her second soul ring flashed.
Air Cannon.
The gaps between the vines gave her just enough space to fire a compressed blast toward Wu Rui.
"Junior, you're too big—it puts you at a disadvantage against me."
Even as he taunted, Wu Rui's tome flipped to its second page. In a flash of light, he vanished, reappearing ten meters away—dodging the attack seamlessly.
His Celestial Tome's ability was stored techniques. Each soul ring added a new page, allowing near-limitless combinations. Unpredictable and creatively deployed, these skills made him a nightmare to face.
Right now, his vine binding + teleportation combo was already infuriatingly effective.
At the very least, against power-type soul masters, he held absolute advantage.
After evading the air cannon, Wu Rui flipped back to the previous page.
"Naughty junior~ Time for punishment."
The vines abruptly constricted, coiling tighter around Yuanen Yehui.
Vine binding was notoriously oppressive—their interwoven structure dissipated force, making escape nearly impossible once entangled.
Yuanen Yehui's eyes hardened.
Her first soul ring ignited.
Titan's Strength.
Her arms swelled further, shrouded in a dark-gold aura. With a vicious tear, she ripped through the vines like paper.
"Holy—what brute strength! Junior, you're ferocious—and I'm here for it!"
Far from intimidated, Wu Rui looked thrilled as Yuanen Yehui lunged again.
Violent opponents were his favorite.
Another air cannon blasted toward him.
Another teleport dodged it.
Fresh vines sprouted, snaking toward her.
Absolutely disgusting.
---
Then—Yuanen Yehui's body shrunk abruptly.
The four soul rings around her condensed to three.
Three pitch-black ten-thousand-year rings.
Her primary martial soul, the Titan Giant Ape, granted monstrous physicality—easily capable of supporting four ten-thousand-year rings. Yet she'd only equipped it with four purple millennium rings.
Now, switching to her second martial soul—Fallen Angel—she revealed three ten-thousand-year rings in full display.
Her form shifted, curves reshaping into their natural state. Delicate features sharpened into striking beauty as jet-black wings unfurled behind her. A sword wreathed in dark flames materialized in her grip.
With a sweep of her wings, she darted through gaps in the vines. Each swing of her Abyssal Demonblade severed the binding with eerie precision, flames devouring the remnants.
"She TRANSFORMED?!" Wu Rui shrieked, as if witnessing the impossible. "Male to female?!"
Despite his theatrics, his hands never stopped moving.
His tome snapped to the fourth page.
A beam of golden light struck Yuanen Yehui.
Her brow furrowed.
A surreal scene unfolded—an identical copy of her Fallen Angel form split away from her body. Only the vacant stare betrayed its lack of sentience.
Wu Rui's fourth soul skill: Replicate!
Yuanen Yehui barely hesitated.
She knew clones couldn't match the original's full power.
Her blade clashed against the doppelgänger's—knocking it back effortlessly.
"60% strength."
Relief flickered through her. Then her gaze locked onto Wu Rui.
That mouth of his needed silencing.
Third soul skill: Fallen Descent!
First soul skill: Abyssal Shroud!
Already breathtaking, Yuanen Yehui's features matured further under her third skill's enhancement—radiating a lethal allure. The demonic flames and fallen wings amplified her haunting charm, weaving an aura of natural mesmerization.
A clone at 60% power only copied base stats. With her explosive techniques, she could take three of them at once.
One slash sent the replica stumbling. Then she lunged—straight for the loudmouthed senior.
Wu Rui teleported again.
But within the Abyssal Shroud, spatial jumps were suppressed. His range dropped to barely seven meters.
Yuanen Yehui, attuned to the distorted space, predicted his landing point.
A surge of demonfire sword qi slashed toward the empty air—right where he'd appear.
"OH COME ON—I'm getting hard-countered?!"
Panicking, Wu Rui flipped to his third page. A mirror materialized before him.
The incoming sword qi reversed course mid-air, hurtling back at Yuanen Yehui.
The recovering clone added its own weaker slash, boxing her in.
A cold snort.
Martial soul switch.
After a month of training with Xu Yuan and Wu Siduo, her transitions between souls had grown fluid.
Her body expanded again, this time taking on a darker, more bestial Titan form—closer to an ape's profile. But the alterations didn't hinder her.
Twin Air Cannons erupted from her fists, obliterating the reflected sword qi. The clone's weaker attack was outright overpowered, the residual force slamming into it and sending it crashing down.
Switching back to Fallen Angel, she gave the clone no quarter. In a blur, she severed it with one clean strike.
Her demonblade now pointed squarely at Wu Rui—a silent challenge.
What else you got?
Her third skill's buff remained active.
This was her breakthrough after training with Xu Yuan—learning to preserve enhancement effects during martial soul switches by leveraging her spirit soul's presence.
For her, this technique was priceless.
