Xu Yuan didn't have battle armor.
But he had a mecha!
At this moment, he seemed to transform into light, his entire body radiating with glowing orbs.
These orbs gave off a familiar sensation.
Upon closer reflection, they realized it was identical to the scene when Yuanen Yehui and the others summoned their Spirit Alloy-enhanced One-Word Battle Armor!
"Could it be…"
Had he completed an entire set of Spirit Alloy battle armor?
No, he had said he hadn't forged any battle armor.
Then what was this?
Such massive orbs of light.
Amidst their confusion, Li Qiankun grew alarmed. The orb of light in the center of the arena continued to grow larger. Even accounting for the blinding glow, outsiders could clearly tell that the source of the light had grown enormous—now towering at a full five meters tall.
Due to limitations, Xu Yuan's mecha hadn't been entirely crafted from Divine Alloy. Only the core regions of each part were made with 96% fusion-grade Divine Alloy, while the true core—the energy converter—was constructed entirely with 98% fusion-grade Divine Alloy.
Fortunately, over the past month, Xu Yuan had forged enough 98%-fusion-grade Jade Silver to construct the energy core and energy conversion system.
As for the rest of the mecha, it was built using alloys with fusion rates ranging from 90% to 95%.
An outrageously extravagant mecha.
This past month, Xu Yuan had been busy upgrading the original parts of the mecha, perfectly replacing them with Spirit Alloy components.
The previous version of the mecha had been entirely crafted from Thousand Refinements First-Class materials, but since most of those materials had been Heavy Silver and Magic Silver, the replacement process was relatively straightforward.
The creation of this mecha owed much to the unwavering support of Le Zhengyu, Xu Yuan's steadfast ally.
Xu Yuan's fusion forging technique was highly systematic. Using essence, energy, and spirit as divisions, he categorized different levels of fusion forging and trained specifically to maximize his strengths. His efficiency far surpassed that of ordinary blacksmiths.
This was something other blacksmiths found difficult to replicate because the willpower honed by Xu Yuan's Seven Forbidden Techniques and his mastery over essence, energy, and spirit were beyond the reach of ordinary soul masters.
Take Tang Wulin, for example. He would find it hard to adopt Xu Yuan's methods. His soul power and spiritual force were far weaker compared to his blood qi, making coordination extremely challenging.
The light faded.
A dazzling mecha stood before everyone.
It was classified as a Yellow-Rank mecha—not because it was entirely yellow, but because its rank reflected the overall design philosophy. In non-standardized mechas, rank distinctions were based on conceptual differences rather than details.
Thus, even though Xu Yuan had used the core array technology of One-Word Battle Armor to craft this mecha and employed Spirit Alloy, it was still considered a Yellow-Rank mecha.
Its sleek and imposing exterior featured a massive version of the *Heaven Origin Five Elements Spear* slowly materializing in its right hand. As the mecha gripped the spear, the protective armor on its forearms transformed, enveloping the spear before merging seamlessly with it.
On the mecha's chest plate, a fully yellow base indicated its Yellow-Rank classification.
"A mecha?"
The students were stunned.
Not just Li Qiankun and the other three—everyone watching from the stands, students of all grades, were equally astounded.
What an awe-inspiring mecha.
More importantly, it looked incredibly expensive.
And undoubtedly, it was immensely powerful!
No one could have imagined that Xu Yuan had created such a mecha.
And here he was, unveiling it during Shrek Academy's outer court exchange match!
Mecha Master vs. Battle Armor Master?
In the audience, a young man gazed at Xu Yuan's mecha and broke into a radiant smile.
Perfect.
The young man was none other than Xing Yu, Xu Yuan's mecha piloting instructor, whom Xu Yuan had invited to watch the match.
Previously, Xing Yu hadn't understood Xu Yuan's intentions, but now everything was clear.
"Entirely crafted from Spirit Alloy, with a core array so powerful it's terrifying. The aura this mecha exudes… forget about a Soul King-level One-Word Battle Armor Master—even a peak Soul Emperor fused with the highest-tier One-Word Battle Armor couldn't compare."
This was what a true mecha should be.
The pinnacle of mecha engineering.
Unfortunately, such a mecha was a one-of-a-kind marvel on the continent.
Crafted entirely from Spirit Alloy, it could even qualify as a Black-Rank mecha. Though it required higher operational skill, it offered the best cost-performance ratio for a mecha pilot.
However, Xu Yuan didn't need to worry about cost-performance ratios.
Being a genius blacksmith truly felt incredible.
And not only that—he was also a genius mecha engineer and designer.
Only someone who mastered all these professions simultaneously could create such a top-tier mecha.
A Yellow-Rank mecha, with minimal piloting requirements—Soul Elder-level strength was sufficient!
Even with the overwhelming amplification of Xu Yuan's mecha, a Soul Elder could handle it.
At this point, Xing Yu finally understood why Xu Yuan's soul power consumption during the earlier battles had been so absurdly low.
Because Xu Yuan had primarily been consuming ambient energy and the stored energy within the mecha!
Standing motionless in place, the mecha radiated an aura so intimidating that Li Qiankun and the others dared not make a move.
What level of mecha was this?
Looking at the dazzling, multicolored mecha, Li Qiankun refused to believe it was a Yellow-Rank mecha.
The amplification provided by this Yellow-Rank mecha undoubtedly surpassed that of a One-Word Battle Armor!
How was that possible?
"Do you still wish to fight?" Xu Yuan's voice echoed from within the mecha.
"Fight!" Li Qiankun's eyes hardened with determination.
"Let me see the limits of your mecha!"
All four of his soul rings began to glow.
His soul power was being drained at an alarming rate, almost reaching the point of combustion. It was as if he were pushing himself to his absolute limit. After this battle, he would likely need at least a month of recovery.
But at this moment, he only wanted to unleash his strongest state.
Thirty-six Qiankun Spheres formed a protective array in front of him, locking down the surrounding space. Each sphere acted as a node, solidifying the surrounding space into a formidable shield.
This wasn't just a barrier powered by spatial forces.
If it were merely a spatial force barrier, it wouldn't stand out, and Xu Yuan's Void-Piercing Spear Intent would be enough to shatter it.
However, Li Qiankun had truly condensed a protective shield. Even if you could attack the space itself, you'd still need to break through this shield.
The mecha wielded the spear with fluid, natural movements.
A swift spear thrust pierced forward.
The technique was no different from Xu Yuan's earlier spear strikes.
This spear pierced through space.
Without a doubt, the spear's light shattered the Qiankun Sphere defense and completely obliterated the spatial shield, pinning Li Qiankun firmly to the stage.
If Xu Yuan hadn't held back after piercing the shield, this spear would have gone straight through his body.
The mecha turned sideways, glancing back at Ye Wu behind it, then rotated toward Wu Rui and Yuan Hua behind Li Qiankun.
"And you two?"
"If I break through to Soul King and forge my final piece of chest armor, I'll definitely challenge you again!" Li Qiankun declared resolutely.
"I'll be waiting."
Xu Yuan spoke.
As soon as the words left his mouth, a vast wave of spiritual force enveloped the arena.
Ambient energy converged wildly.
Spear intent permeated heaven and earth.
The Heaven Origin Five Elements Spear in the mecha's right hand shimmered as it rapidly gathered ambient energy.
Inside the mecha, large amounts of soul power and energy were channeled into the spear.
Soul rings began to emerge around the mecha.
Purple, purple, purple.
The three purple soul rings no longer overlapped but instead hovered separately around the mecha, spinning a few times before fusing into different parts of the mecha. One ring merged into the chest plate, forming intricate purple patterns. Another settled on the waist, creating patterns on the abdomen, while the last one fused into the right arm, forming designs on the outer side.
The three soul rings gleamed brilliantly.
The mecha raised the spear and thrust it toward the sky.
The spear tip gradually lit up with blinding brilliance, resembling a radiant star descending to earth. Ambient energy converged into a conical vortex, shooting upward with the spear's light.
A beam of light pierced through the clouds, lingering for a long time.
This spear had pierced the heavens.
"When you're confident enough to withstand this spear, come find me for another challenge."
The mecha transformed into a ball of light, shrinking amidst the dazzling radiance until only Xu Yuan's original form remained.
He looked up at Cai Yue'er.
"Cai Elder, this match—we've won."
