I guess this is the end of my life.
I have a lot of regrets—not seeing my parents one last time, dying right before my college graduation, not finding out what the One Piece is, and not being able to create my own family.
The only thing I don't regret is saving those two kids from dying. Not at all. I just hope they have a bright future.
The next thing I know, everything turns white, and I see a man dressed in all white. He asks, "Are you Shin Tempest?"
"Yes… are you God?"
He shakes his head. "No, my name is Gavin. I'm a messenger who works under the messenger gods. My job is to guide souls like yours to reincarnate."
"I did die…" I mumble, feeling a pang of sadness. "I hope those two kids are okay."
Gavin smiles gently. "They're more than okay. Those two girls you saved were incarnations of the goddess of lust and the goddess of dragons. They, along with other gods and goddesses, decided that you deserve to be reincarnated."
Shin is taken aback. The two kids I saved… were incarnations of goddesses? And not just any goddesses—the very ones my parents told me stories about when I was a child.
"You get to choose four gods or goddesses to form a pantheon and start a kingdom," Gavin continues.
"If you want to know why they chose you, Shin, I suggest picking those two sisters to join your pantheon."
With that, Gavin guides him toward the room where he will choose his gods and goddesses.
