CHAPTER 21

### Adrian's POV

"Where to, sir?" the driver asked.

"To the pack's meeting hall," I ordered, reclining in my seat.

The driver nodded. "Yes, sir."

The meeting hall—where the elders and the Seer resided. Where all important decisions regarding the pack were made.

I had planned to force Jace into my car, not because I was eager for his company, but because he reminded me of her.

Fiona.

I had to find out if they were connected. If my suspicions were right.

But that phone call from my mother changed things.

No matter. I still had time.

I smirked, remembering the look on Jace's face.

This was far from over.

......

### Adrian's POV

The meeting hall was hidden deep within the forest, concealed from human sight by dense foliage. To the outside world, it looked like nothing more than an ordinary patch of wilderness, but to us, it was the heart of the Blood Moon Pack's power.

As soon as I stepped out of the car, I stripped down, tossing my clothes into the bushes. Unlike humans, we couldn't shift with our clothes intact—our wolves were too massive, tearing through fabric with every transformation.

Pain rippled through my bones as I shifted, a familiar yet uncomfortable sensation. My body elongated, muscles stretched, and a thick coat of silver fur sprouted across my skin. In a matter of seconds, my human form was gone, replaced by the powerful frame of my wolf.

Much better.

Cars weren't allowed near the sacred meeting grounds, and frankly, I was too lazy to walk when I could just run.

Leaping into the trees, I bolted through the forest, the cool night air rushing against my fur. The moonlight reflected off my silver coat—a mark of my lineage. The striking blue of my eyes was another undeniable sign of my birthright.

Alpha blood.

Reaching the entrance of the meeting hall, I landed gracefully in front of the guards.

"Peace belongs to our future Alpha," they greeted, bowing in respect.

I inclined my head slightly in acknowledgment before shifting back into my human form, the transformation smoother this time. Grabbing the spare clothes stashed near the entrance, I dressed quickly and stepped inside.

Silence blanketed the room. The moment I entered, every elder's gaze locked onto me, their expressions unreadable.

For a second, I wondered if I had walked into the wrong place.

I cleared my throat and bowed my head slightly, a sign of both respect and acknowledgment.

"May the elders live long."

I took my seat, waiting for the reason I had been summoned.

The tension was palpable.

Then, one of the elders finally spoke.

"Future Alpha, it is time we prepare for your Luna."

I blinked.

"Excuse me?"

The elder continued as if he hadn't just dropped a bombshell. "Your Luna, the future queen of our pack. The time has come for you to start searching for her."

I frowned. "Why? I'm not even eighteen yet. My father is still the Alpha. What do I need a Luna for?"

My question was met with silence.
