Shun Aizawa was not in the mood for nonsense.
He and Renji had gone back to the stadium for one reason—to find his missing earring. It wasn't just a piece of jewelry. It mattered to him. Even if he didn't fully understand why.
And now, after searching for hours, he was finally standing in front of the stadium authorities, watching as one of the staff members placed a small silver earring onto the counter.
Shun immediately recognized it.
"Where did you find it?" he asked.
The staff member, an older man with glasses, looked through his paperwork. "One of the players found it on the field and handed it to us this afternoon."
Shun nodded. That was all that mattered. He reached for the earring, but before he could take it—
The man cleared his throat. "Also… we received a complaint about you two."
Shun and Renji froze.
"...Complaint?" Renji asked.
The man adjusted his glasses. "Yes. A few of the girls playing in the tournament reported that 'two suspicious guys' were watching them from the stands."
Renji's soul left his body. "Wait, WAIT—THAT WASN'T LIKE THAT!"
The staff member didn't look convinced. "We take all complaints seriously."
Shun, as usual, looked unbothered. "We weren't staring at them. We were looking for the earring."
The man flipped through his notes. "That's what I told them, but… well, some people still found it suspicious."
Renji groaned, running a hand down his face. "Man… this is so embarrassing."
Shun ignored him. "Who found the earring?"
The staff member shook his head. "We don't reveal personal details. But she should still be here somewhere."
Renji sighed. "Great. Now we have to go on a scavenger hunt."
Shun pocketed the earring. "Let's go."
Renji blinked. "Wait, you're actually going to search for her?"
Shun started walking away. "I need to return the favor."
Renji stared at him for a moment before sighing in defeat. "Man, you're impossible."
And with that, they set off into the stadium.
The Invitation to Chaos
They had barely started looking when a familiar voice called out from behind them.
"Oi, Shun! Renji! What are you two doing here?"
Shun turned his head and saw Taro, Kazu, and Hiroki walking toward them, all three of them looking way too excited for this time of day.
Renji, grateful for a distraction, clapped a hand on Taro's shoulder. "Saving our reputation. You?"
Taro grinned. "Way more important business! We're heading out tonight."
Kazu smirked. "Game bar, karaoke, maybe even an arcade. You guys in?"
Renji immediately nodded. "Absolutely. Let's go."
Shun did not move.
Taro raised an eyebrow. "What's with you?"
Renji pointed at Shun. "This guy's trying to track down some mystery girl who found his earring."
Hiroki snorted. "Damn, that sounds way more dramatic than it needs to be."
Shun ignored them all. "You guys go ahead."
Taro groaned. "Shun, bro, come on. It's not every day we get to go all out at night!"
Kazu crossed his arms. "Wait… is this because of a girl?"
Hiroki smirked. "Shun's chasing after a girl? No way."
Renji grinned. "I know, right? This is history in the making."
Shun rubbed his temples. "I'm just thanking her. That's it."
Taro laughed. "Yeah, yeah. Sure."
Kazu patted his back. "Well, enjoy your search. Meanwhile, the rest of us are gonna have fun."
Renji sighed. "You know what? Fine. Go find your mystery girl. But if I hear you wasted the whole night for nothing, I'm never letting you live this down."
Shun didn't answer.
He had one goal.
And he wasn't stopping until he got his answer.
The Search Begins
As Renji left with the others, Shun wandered through the stadium, scanning the crowd.
Who was she? And more importantly… why did this earring feel so important?
He had a feeling that tonight, he was about to get his answer.
