Qi Mu Nanxiong and Shen He simultaneously raised their eyes to the sky.
Through the opened dimensional rift, the neatly regimented Cherita small warships surged out like a mechanical swarm. With terrifying speed and precision, they swept through the atmosphere, descending upon Earth like a plague of locusts.
From the strategic aircraft carrier positioned above the battlefield, numerous blue-husk constructs began converging and condensing into devastating rotational beams of energy. These spiraling rays shredded entire squadrons of enemy vessels, reducing them to scrap in seconds. Within that death zone, everything disintegrated—nothing left behind but scorched fragments.
That overwhelming force came from Hubby alone.
And yet, in the grand expanse of the battlefield above Earth, his contribution was still just a fragment of the whole.
Perhaps realizing they couldn't swiftly eliminate the Chaldean elite, the Cherita forces adapted. Rather than wasting energy concentrating on the invincible nucleus, they dispersed—warships peeling off in all directions like hornets escaping a collapsing hive. At their breakneck speed, it was only a matter of time before global cities, key defense systems, and population centers came under threat.
If they couldn't contain them soon, Shen He would be forced to seal the temporal gateway—per the vow she had made to Jeanne d'Arc.
"…A Basic Enhancement Card should suffice," Qi Mu Nanxiong said calmly, withdrawing his gaze from the chaos. "I tested it last time. At Level 50, I can just barely access that ability."
"That ability?" Shen He blinked in confusion.
"Yeah." Qi Mu's voice was unshaken. "It's risky… unpredictable. But still, no other skill is better suited for this situation."
Shen He looked at him like he'd lost it. "So what kind of ability is it?"
Qi Mu Nanxiong's power set was legendary—but also chaotic. Shen He knew this better than anyone.
Qi Mu raised his hand. "No time. Some of the enemy units are already en route to other cities."
"…Fine." After a moment's hesitation, Shen He handed over a Basic Enhancement Card.
She knew that the Cherita Legion's most dangerous trait wasn't individual strength—it was sheer volume. But if Hubby fired off a Roaring Dragon Shell toward low orbit, it might psychologically cripple their ranks. Its damage was comparable to a tactical nuke.
"In addition," Qi Mu added, slipping the card into his system, "I'll need official authorization from the Command Seat."
His Level had increased since his last limiter breakthrough. From Level 36, he leapt forward, surging into Level 56 as the Basic Enhancement merged with his body.
And just as he suspected, that Level threshold allowed him to activate the ability. Even without his suppressor gear installed, he was in total control. This time, there would be no meltdown, no blackout, no loss of memory.
"What command?" Shen He asked.
She didn't get an answer.
Because standing beside Qi Mu now… was another Qi Mu.
He was clad in Chaldean battle robes, his face obscured under a deep hood. But Shen He instinctively knew—this wasn't an illusion. It was real.
Clone ability.
A psychic superpower so overpowered it was considered bug-tier. A second self—completely independent, identical in power, with its own thought processes. Though distinguishable in appearance, it could be just as lethal.
And worse… clones could create clones.
Theoretically infinite.
"Fury," Shen He activated her direct channel to Earth's Defense Network. "Status."
"Shen He, we've lost control of the Eastern Seaboard! Multiple cities are under threat. My data's incomplete—we don't know how many ships broke off. If Chaldea's got any hidden reserves, now's the time to show them."
Fury's voice was tense. Behind his harsh words was a growing suspicion. Was this chaos orchestrated? Did Chaldea lure the aliens here to play hero?
Because the reality was brutal: humanity's military was utterly outmatched.
Only nuclear options remained.
Shen He's response was as sharp as a dagger.
"You were the ones who triggered this when you decided to experiment with the Cosmic Cube. That alone was a provocation to every intelligent race in the galaxy."
"If this is how you're going to talk," Fury growled, "then we're done here."
But he knew something else too—Shen He wasn't bluffing. Chaldea had warned of the war. That meant preparation. That meant secrets.
"River, I'll admit it's not looking great." Tony Stark patched in. "My drone squadrons are down to thirty-eight percent. They just can't outrun those ships. We need to bring in the heavy friends. You know, the weirdos—the Inhumans. Wakanda. That league you've been quietly negotiating with."
Tony's suggestion wasn't unreasonable. It was part of the contingency plan—when things got out of hand, open the doors.
Force a united Earth.
But Shen He shook her head.
"No, Tony. Even they would be overrun in this situation. But don't worry, I've already contacted Chaldea Headquarters. I've requested emergency deployment."
Tony froze.
"…Headquarters?" He repeated. "You mean that actual place? I thought that was just you being poetic."
He spun around and flew toward Shen He's location—his curiosity overpowering everything else.
Fury felt the same. For years, Chaldea Headquarters had been nothing more than myth. Was it finally revealing itself?
"Major Fred," General Ross barked across the carrier's comms. "Zoom visual. Tell me what you see. Send me real-time footage—now."
"I… I see them," the major stammered. "There's… a lot. They're all dressed in Chaldean gear, but… some of them aren't even human anymore."
The camera feed switched over to the control center.
What it showed was chilling.
Outside the shattered remnants of a cathedral, over twenty distinct figures stood on cracked concrete. Their numbers were rapidly increasing.
Some were barely human. Tentacles writhed from beneath robes. Curved horns punched through hoods. There were armored beasts with crustacean limbs, eight-limbed spear wielders, translucent slime-like bodies with glowing cores—all wearing Chaldean uniforms.
This was Qi Mu Nanxiong's secret weapon.
The Clone Legion.
With his enhanced control, Qi Mu could now adjust minor differences between himself and each clone. Not just in appearance—but in behavior. Personality. Role. Command chain.
The later the clone's creation, the more unique—and powerful—it became.
And now?
Standing before Shen He was an entire Qi Mu Army.
She gave a crisp gesture.
"Neutralize the entire invading Cherita fleet. Planetwide."
"Yes, Commander." they responded in unison.
