The Kaurava and Pandava armies, despite their enmity, both turned upon the modern soldiers, seeing them as common enemies. Duryodhana raised his sword. "These demons side with the Pandavas! Slay them all!"
"Steady!" Captain David barked. "Fire at will!"
Gunfire erupted, cutting through warriors charging with swords and spears. Arrows bounced off Kevlar vests. The tanks—iron chariots of war—unleashed a storm of cannon fire, sending elephants and chariots flying like dry leaves.
The battlefield turned into hell.
Arjuna, seeing his men fall, leaped into his chariot and aimed his divine bow, Gandiva, at one of the flying metal beasts. He muttered a Vedic incantation, and a blazing arrow of celestial fire erupted from his bow.
The arrow struck the helicopter, exploding it mid-air.
"WHAT THE—!" Ramirez gasped, watching the wreckage fall.
David's eyes widened. "They have magic weapons."
Karna, witnessing this, smirked. "Their metal demons bleed fire. They are not gods—only men."
