chapter 120 kaelith acting

A Game of Power – Kaelith's Act & Lysara's Breaking Point

Lysara stormed out of the Moonlight Tavern, her steps sharp and furious. The chilly night air did little to cool her anger. That damn Kaelith! Who did he think he was, touching her like that?!

She was still fuming when she heard the sound of footsteps behind her.

> "Lysaraaa~ Wait for me!"

She froze. That voice.

Slowly, she turned around.

There stood Kaelith, grinning like a fool, his arms outstretched as if about to hug her.

> "Don't touch me!" she snapped, stepping back, but Kaelith ignored her warning.

He dramatically placed a hand on his heart, sighing loudly.

> "Ahh, Lysara, how cruel! You break my heart, yet I still chase after you!"

His voice was over-the-top, like a lovestruck idiot.

Lysara narrowed her eyes.

> "What are you doing?"

Kaelith wiggled his eyebrows, his lips curving into a playful smirk.

> "I was just thinking… Now that you're guildless, why don't you be my little wife? I promise to take care of you~"

Lysara's face darkened.

> "Disgusting!"

She turned on her heel, but Kaelith moved faster, stepping into her path.

> "Now, now, no need to be shy~" He reached out and gently tucked a stray strand of her silver hair behind her ear.

Lysara flinched as if burned.

> "You—!"

Her fists clenched so tightly that her nails dug into her palms.

Kaelith leaned in, his voice dropping to a low whisper.

> "You don't have a guild anymore, Lysara. No more protection, no more influence. What will you do now?"

His eyes glinted with mock sympathy.

Lysara staggered back.

For the first time, her confidence wavered.

> "Shut up…" she muttered, but her voice was weak.

Kaelith tilted his head.

> "You're smart, Lysara. You must've known this day would come. The elders always saw you as a tool, nothing more. Once you stopped being useful, they threw you away."

Lysara bit her lip.

She knew that. She had always known. But hearing it out loud—hearing it from someone like Kaelith—made it feel real.

Too real.

Her vision blurred.

She hated this. Hated feeling weak.

> "Aww, don't cry, little Lysara~" Kaelith reached out, pretending to wipe a nonexistent tear from her cheek.

Lysara slapped his hand away, her body trembling.

> "Go away!"

Kaelith smirked, stepping back.

> "Fine, fine. But remember, Lysara…"

His playful act disappeared, replaced by a sharp, knowing look.

> "You're alone now. And in this world… the weak get devoured."

With that, he turned and walked away, leaving her standing there—furious, humiliated, and lost.

Lysara clenched her fists, her nails drawing blood.

> "Damn you… Magic Flame… Kaelith… I'll make you regret this!"

But even as she said that, a small, bitter part of her knew—

She needed him.

Kaelith's Wicked Game – The Journey to Malthor

Lysara regretted everything.

She had no guild, no backing, and now, she was stuck traveling with Kaelith.

She had no choice.

He had told her in a mockingly sweet tone,

> "Come with me, Lysara~ I know someone who can give you power."

At first, she refused.

But he had tilted his head, eyes gleaming with amusement.

> "You don't really have any other options, do you?"

Her silence had been his victory.

And so, here she was—walking alongside the most insufferable man she had ever met.

---

The Road to Malthor

The forest path was quiet, the air thick with the scent of damp earth. Moonlight filtered through the trees, casting eerie shadows.

Lysara walked ahead of Kaelith, arms crossed, trying to ignore his presence.

But, of course, he wouldn't allow that.

> "Lysaraaa~ Why are you walking so fast? Trying to escape me? My heart… it hurts~"

Lysara gritted her teeth.

> "Shut up."

Kaelith chuckled, picking up his pace until he was right beside her.

Then—

> "Ah!"

He stumbled forward dramatically, arms flailing—and grabbed onto her waist.

Lysara froze.

> "Oops! My hand slipped~"

Kaelith tightened his grip, fingers pressing firmly against her hips.

Lysara's entire body stiffened.

> "Let. Go."

Kaelith smirked, his grip loosening just slightly, but he didn't pull away.

> "But Lysaraaa, you're so soft~ I never knew the ice queen had such a warm body."

Her eye twitched.

> "If you don't remove your hands in the next second, I swear—"

Kaelith gasped dramatically, interrupting her.

> "Lysara, I had no idea you were this kind of woman!"

Lysara blinked.

> "…What?"

Kaelith sighed, shaking his head.

> "You don't have to be so desperate. If you wanted my touch, all you had to do was ask~"

Lysara's face turned red—not from embarrassment, but from pure rage.

> "You disgusting—"

She elbowed him in the stomach, hard.

Kaelith let go immediately, doubling over with a fake groan.

> "Oof! Lysara, you beast! You've injured me!"

Lysara turned away, marching forward.

Kaelith grinned, rubbing his stomach as he followed behind her.

She was fun to tease.

But more importantly—she was getting used to his presence.

By the time they reached Malthor, he would have her completely wrapped around his fingers.
