A year later...
"Sara, a bowl of soy milk and a few fried dough sticks, please," Yun Fan yawned as he walked down from the second floor of the Good Hunter and casually took a seat.
Over the past year, he had mostly been in a state of eating, playing, and sleeping, becoming somewhat lazy.
"Yes, boss," Sara rolled her eyes. Ever since Yun Fan acquired the Good Hunter, he had become a hands-off owner, leaving all the big and small tasks to her while he spent his days wandering around.
He occasionally came up with new ideas, like the soy milk and fried dough sticks, which were quite popular and attracted many customers. Though it was tiring for her, it significantly increased the restaurant's revenue.
Sara had thought about quitting, but Yun Fan paid her too well—10% of the Good Hunter's profits.
Damn capitalist!
"Sara, a Teyvat Fried Egg, and a Fisherman's Toast to go, please." Yun Fan heard a cheerful voice, and soon a fiery figure sat down across from him.
"Hey, Yun Fan, can't you perk up a bit?"
"Oh, it's Amber. Good morning," Yun Fan greeted her and then went back to munching on his fried dough sticks.
"Honestly," Amber sighed in frustration. Despite being in the prime of her youth, this guy seemed so lifeless.
"These days, Stormterror's attacks have been getting more frequent. The pressure is really getting to me," Amber pouted and complained.
"By the way, Yun Fan, I met a golden-haired traveler today, along with a little mascot. They're quite interesting," Amber mentioned casually, taking a bite of her Teyvat Fried Egg.
"Hmm?" Yun Fan finally perked up. About three months ago, he had received a notification from the Void Archives that the Traveler had awakened.
It seemed they had now arrived in Mondstadt. At that moment, he thought he heard a ding sound.
'Main Storyline: The Outlander Who Caught the Wind has begun.'
Of course, there wasn't really such a sound.
"What's the Traveler like?" Yun Fan began probing for information about the Traveler. He wanted to know if it was Lumine or Aether.
"She's a golden-haired girl, very beautiful. She calls herself a traveler from another world, here in Mondstadt to find her brother."
Nice! It's not Aether. If it were Aether, to prevent him from potentially stealing girls in the future, Yun Fan would summon Kalpas to eliminate him and frame the Pyro Archon from Natlan. After all, that guy was a battle maniac.
Pyro Archon: 6
Aether: 6
But since it's Lumine, there's no need for such concerns. The real question is, if he and Lumine were to have a little Lumine and appear before Aether, would he draw his sword immediately?
"If you have time, bring her to the Good Hunter. I'll treat her. I'd really like to get to know this Traveler."
"Huh? It's rare to see you so enthusiastic. As a Scout Knight, I'll take care of it!"
"Traveler, the big boss of the Good Hunter wants to treat us to a meal! I'm so excited!" The little white mascot flew around the golden-haired girl twice, rubbing her tiny hands together, clearly thrilled.
"I know. You've already repeated it several times," Lumine facepalmed. After Amber mentioned it, Paimon had been going on and on about it. It was just a meal—was it really that big a deal?
"Hehe, if we can befriend the big boss of the Good Hunter, maybe we can get discounts when we eat there in the future?" Paimon chuckled, already scheming.
"Haha, let me tell you a secret. The boss of the Good Hunter is a big merchant from Liyue. If he takes a liking to you, he might even give you free meals."
"Free meals!? Ahhh, what's going on...!" Before Paimon could finish, a strong gust of wind swept her away, leaving her screaming.
Lumine looked up. The sky had darkened, and dark clouds loomed overhead. Powerful tornadoes connected the sky and the ground, wreaking havoc in Mondstadt. Many shops and stalls were torn apart by the fierce winds.
"Lumine isn't in the air right now. I need to do something," Yun Fan secretly grabbed a quilt from the second floor and threw it with all his might toward Lumine.
"Sorry, Lumine!"
"Huh?" Lumine didn't have time to react before she found herself airborne. Yun Fan's strength was immense, and he chose the quilt to ensure Lumine wouldn't get hurt while being launched.
"Traveler!" X2
On the ground, Amber and Paimon shouted anxiously. In the chaos, something had hit Lumine and sent her flying. The sky was too dangerous now!
In a panic, Lumine deployed her Wind Glider, struggling to stabilize herself.
The Wind Glider creaked under the force of the gale, seemingly unable to withstand the powerful winds.
"Why isn't the Wind Glider descending?" Lumine muttered in confusion. Wind Gliders weren't supposed to stay airborne for long.
'It is I who have summoned the thousand-year winds to aid you, so you will not fall.'
"Who's there? Who's speaking?" Lumine quickly looked around, but there was no one else in the sky.
'Now, imagine you can harness this wind and use it to pierce the clouds.'
Lumine took a deep breath. She had no other choice but to follow the voice's instructions. Soon, a ball of Anemo energy formed in her hand, and countless wind bullets shot out from it.
"Good, everything is on track," Yun Fan nodded in satisfaction as he watched Lumine confront Stormterror.
With his task done, he quietly slipped away, leaving no trace of his involvement.
"What the—!"
Yun Fan turned around, his eyes wide.
Just moments ago, the Good Hunter had been intact. Now, there were two massive holes in it.
Am I being punished?
Yun Fan walked over to Amber and Paimon, his gaze fixed on Stormterror in the sky.
"Ah, Yun Fan, why are you here? It's dangerous! You need to leave!" Seeing that Yun Fan, an ordinary person, hadn't evacuated, Amber quickly pushed him, urging him to get away from the danger.
"It's fine. Leave it to me."
Yun Fan shook his head and extended his right hand toward Stormterror. In the next moment, under the shocked gazes of Amber and Paimon, a blue mechanical cannon materialized out of thin air and was hoisted onto Yun Fan's shoulder.
Eden's Star · Anti-Entropy
"Fire!"
The cannon's muzzle glowed blue as elemental energy surged into it like a tidal wave. Eden's Star was charging up.
"What's going on?!" Venti, who had been watching Lumine battle Stormterror, suddenly felt a chilling power. He quickly searched for the source and soon found Yun Fan, who was charging up the cannon.
"What is that?!"
Before Venti could react, Eden's Star · Anti-Entropy finished charging.
Whoosh!
A projectile infused with terrifying elemental energy locked onto the poison blood on Stormterror's back and shot out.
