Awakening the Flames of War

Su Chen stood at the heart of the military compound, his expression unreadable as he observed the high-ranking officials gathered before him. The tense atmosphere in the war room was palpable—uncertainty, disbelief, and lingering fear clung to the air like a thick fog.

After his overwhelming display of power, the officials had been forced to acknowledge that Su Chen was not an ordinary man. However, accepting that gods would soon descend upon Blue Star? That was another matter entirely.

Seated at the center of the long conference table was General Zhang, a veteran of countless battles, his scarred face betraying decades of hardened experience. Beside him sat Minister Wu, head of national security, and Professor Liang, the nation's top researcher on supernatural phenomena.

The President of Huaxia, an older man with sharp eyes and a commanding presence, folded his hands together. His gaze lingered on Su Chen for a long moment before he finally spoke.

"Mr. Su, what you have shown us is… beyond our understanding. But expecting us to believe that gods—mythological beings—will invade in two months? That is a difficult pill to swallow."

Su Chen exhaled, his patience unwavering. He had expected resistance. It was human nature to deny the inevitable.

Instead of arguing, he reached into his coat and pulled out a large, ancient tome. He placed it on the table with a loud thud, causing some of the officials to flinch.

"This book was left behind by a past civilization," Su Chen said. His voice carried the weight of truth, making the room feel even heavier. "A civilization that was once as advanced as ours. And yet, it was completely wiped out."

Professor Liang adjusted his glasses and leaned forward, intrigued despite himself. He cautiously opened the book, his fingers brushing over the aged, yellowed pages. The text within was written in an unfamiliar script, yet as he focused, the letters seemed to shift and rewrite themselves into modern language.

"Impossible…" the professor whispered in shock.

Minister Wu frowned. "What does it say?"

Professor Liang cleared his throat and read aloud:

> "When the heavens tremble and the divine gaze returns, the end shall begin anew. The gods, who once played with this world and abandoned it, shall return—not as watchers, but as conquerors. Their existence is threatened, and Blue Star is the last haven they can claim."

A chilling silence filled the room.

Su Chen tapped the book's cover. "Your doubts are understandable. But the truth is already written in history." His eyes darkened. "And history is about to repeat itself."

The President's fingers drummed against the table. "This book suggests that gods have already come before. But why didn't they take over the world back then?"

"They were playing," Su Chen answered coldly. "They treated Blue Star as nothing more than a temporary amusement. But now, their survival depends on conquering this world."

Minister Wu's eyes narrowed. "And how do you know all this?"

Su Chen met his gaze head-on. "Because I was reborn. I died fighting them in my past life."

The declaration sent a shockwave through the room. Even the hardened General Zhang looked visibly shaken.

"You're claiming reincarnation?" The President's voice carried skepticism, but there was a hint of unease in his tone.

"I am," Su Chen said without hesitation. "And I have two months to prepare Huaxia for war."

Silence once again stretched across the room. The weight of Su Chen's words settled into the officials' minds like an immovable boulder.

Finally, General Zhang let out a deep sigh. "Assuming we believe you… what do you propose?"

Su Chen didn't hesitate. "Mass awakenings. Training. Strategic planning. We must push as many people as possible to Tier 3 Awakening within a month. And we must prepare the strongest to ascend even further."

Professor Liang's brow furrowed. "That's impossible. Awakening is random. We can't control who awakens or what abilities they receive."

Su Chen smirked. "That was true before. But I can change that."

He clenched his fist, and the air rippled with mana. The temperature in the room fluctuated—first a deep chill, then a wave of intense heat.

"I can force awakenings. I can shape them." His eyes gleamed with confidence. "And if we don't start now, when the gods arrive, we will be nothing more than cattle to be slaughtered."

General Zhang exchanged looks with the President and Minister Wu. The room was divided—fear, uncertainty, and reluctant hope danced in their expressions.

The President finally stood up. "If you truly can do what you claim… then prove it."

Su Chen's smirk widened. "With pleasure."

He snapped his fingers—

And in that instant, the war for Blue Star truly began.
