I laughed at her transparent attempt to cover up her actions.

"Scarlett, did you really think you could pull the wool over everyone's eyes with what you've done?"

"I've already handed over the evidence to the police. If you still want to marry Kael, you'd better hurry up and throw another wedding!"

Hearing this, Kael tried to confront Scarlett.

But she was already panicking, clutching his sleeve as she tried to explain:

"Kael, don't believe her! This is all Faye's scheme! She's trying to drive a wedge between us!"

As I expected, Kael hesitated.

Caelan and I left without looking back.

Watching my retreating figure, Kael felt an inexplicable sense of unease.

With trembling hands, he dialed his assistant's number, instructing him to thoroughly investigate the details of my miscarriage at the hospital that day.

Scarlett tried desperately to stop him, which only made Kael more suspicious.
