Growing up in poverty in the slums of Mushin, Nigeria, life was far from perfect for fourteen-year-old Jesse Jackson.
Through the dark times, however, football was his one and only solace, comfort, and happiness — even despite his mother's obvious aversion to his love of the beautiful game.
In spite of life's struggles, Jesse's dream was to join a football academy and to one day become a professional footballer.

Hello everyone! Not so shameless author here. Truth be told, I'm a total newbie and know next to nothing about writing. This is just something I decided to wrote partly for fun, partly to gain some feedback and use that to improve my writing, and majorly because *coughs* I need moola. Hmm... guess I'm pretty darn shameless, after all. Hahahaha! Getting back on track, for those of you curious about what to expect from this novel, it's actually a pretty simple, straightforward story about a boy whose dream is to become a professional footballer, and the story follows his ups and downs , and the experiences he goes through in his journey towards achieving that goal. If you came expecting a system novel, sorry, but I'm going to have to disappoint you. This story's protagonist grows and improves solely because of his raw, innate talent and hardwork, and not through the aid of system cheats. There's also going to be a ton of slice of life chapters but personally, I just feel like the rollercoaster of emotions between friends, family, and lovers are the very things that make a story well... a story. So, I hope you understand and bear with it. It's a very beautiful story about a boy with a football dream. I actually ended up liking the main character he's a chill guy fr. Overall great story, looking forward to more bro.
