Chapter 74: This Is My Room

After a brief moment of shock, Anran quickly regained her composure.

Richard's words had sunk in, and her eyes widened in astonishment. "You're saying this is your house? Then how… how did I end up here?"

She distinctly remembered driving to "Enchantment" last night to meet Wild Wolf. There had been a misunderstanding at the bar entrance, leading to a brief scuffle with a man. Afterward, Wild Wolf had spoken to her about the upcoming competition at Qingyun Peak.

But then… what had happened?

Her brows furrowed deeply as she struggled to recall. The events after that were completely blank, as if erased from her memory.

Watching her alternate between confusion and frustration, Richard chuckled softly. With graceful steps, he approached the bed.

A faint smile played on his lips as he said, "Obviously, this is not only my home but also my room. And the bed you're sleeping in… well, it's mine too."

Anran froze for a moment before her cheeks flushed a deep crimson. With a startled cry, she leaped off the bed, her bare feet landing on the plush wool rug. Her entire body felt like it was on fire.

"Hahaha… little kitten… hahaha…"

Richard couldn't help but burst into laughter at her dramatic reaction. The usually composed and aristocratic boy doubled over, laughing unrestrainedly.

It had been a long, long time since he'd laughed so freely.

Anran, torn between embarrassment and frustration, glared at him. "Richard, what happened?"

Before Richard could respond, a voice called from the doorway. "Richard, what's going on?"

A silver-haired boy walked in, his gaze landing on Anran, who was still flustered and red-faced. His tone softened as he said, "Anran, you're awake. If you don't get up soon, you'll miss breakfast."

Lestat's arrival felt like a lifeline to Anran, saving her from further embarrassment.

She quickly asked, "Lestat, can you tell me what happened? How did I end up here?"

Lestat smiled gently. "Anran, it's a bit late now. Let's head to the dining room first for breakfast. I'll explain everything to you afterward."

As a guest, Anran had no choice but to comply. Truthfully, she *was* feeling quite hungry.

After a quick wash, Anran followed the Morris brothers to the dining room. Her mind was filled with questions, and she had little attention to spare for the grandeur around her. Yet, the sheer opulence of the castle's interior was impossible to ignore.

Richard's room was on the third floor, while the dining room was on the first. As they walked, the corridors were lined with deep blue wool carpets. The stairs were made of polished hardwood, their railings adorned with intricately carved pillars. Portraits hung at regular intervals along the walls, lifelike oil paintings of individuals with striking features and elegant demeanors.

Lestat, walking ahead, explained, "These portraits depict the dukes and duchesses of the Morris family throughout the generations."

Dukes? That was a title reserved for Western nobility!

Anran had heard from Zhang Ning that the Morris family was wealthy, but she hadn't realized they were also nobility. Still, why would a Western aristocratic family settle in a small town in Z? While curious, Anran didn't pry into their family history.

Soon, they arrived at the dining room.

Even the ceiling was adorned with exquisite paintings, and at its center hung an extravagant chandelier, its cascading crystals shimmering above the dining table.

The table was already set with fine china and an array of dishes. A man in a tailcoat bowed respectfully and said,

"Master, breakfast is served."
