Chapter 91: The Unthinkable Power

Under the glare of the headlights, Anran could clearly see two tall men standing ahead—one dressed in deep blue denim, the other in a brown leather jacket. They were none other than Dennis and Johnson, whom she had just encountered that evening at Qingyun Peak.

Anran was certain this was no coincidence.

Neither of them rode motorcycles; they stood motionless, as if they had been waiting for some time. When they saw Anran approaching on her bike, one of them even took a step forward, a triumphant smile spreading across his face.

Anran had no intention of stopping to exchange pleasantries. The events at Qingyun Peak still haunted her, and as her bike drew closer, she suddenly twisted the handlebar to the right and accelerated.

But in a flash, a figure appeared directly in front of her.

Her eyes widened in shock. She didn't even have time to hit the brakes before her bike collided with the figure. Yet, to her astonishment, the man wasn't sent flying by the impact as she had expected. Instead, he merely took a few steps back, while the bike skidded to a stop, its wheels screeching against the pavement. Two pale hands firmly gripped the front of the bike.

If Anran hadn't been holding on tight to the handlebars, she would have been thrown off.

She stared in disbelief at the man who had single-handedly stopped a speeding motorcycle: Johnson.

How was this possible?

The bike's speed might not have been extreme, but in that split second, she had accelerated to at least 200 kilometers per hour. Yet, this man had effortlessly halted the bike with sheer strength.

"I never expected… Liuguang would be a woman."

A hoarse voice filled with unmistakable desire broke the silence.

No wonder her blood carried such an alluring scent. Johnson's gaze lifted, his eyes glowing red as he stared at the young woman before him. He couldn't help but lick his dry lips.

They had been sent by Elma to bring Liuguang back. However, unwilling to confront the mysterious and powerful Night Emperor directly, they had chosen to intercept her on the road leading into the residential area of the town. They had been waiting for quite some time.

As she met the malicious glint in those crimson eyes, Anran felt a chill run down her spine, as if she had been plunged into an icy abyss.

Those eyes—they were different from the ones she had seen in those who had been injected with the serum. Their irises had been black, with only the whites streaked with red veins. But tonight, the eyes of Elma and Johnson were different. Their irises, normally of other colors, had instantly turned red. What did it mean?

Anran knew one thing for certain: these men meant her harm, and she couldn't afford to be captured without a fight.

With a determined grimace, she pressed the accelerator to the floor, pouring every ounce of her strength into it.

"Liuguang" didn't disappoint her. The bike surged forward with explosive force, slamming into the man ahead.

Johnson hadn't expected Anran to resist the hypnotic effect of his eyes. Caught off guard, he hadn't braced himself. With a loud roar, his large frame was sent flying backward.

Seizing the opportunity, Anran tried to speed away. But while the wheels spun furiously, the bike didn't move an inch. She glanced back and saw a pale, terrifying hand gripping the rear of the bike…
