Rossweise pinched Little Light's chubby cheeks, "It's fine. My sister's are pure red, while Little Light's are still more pink, right, Little Light~ Hmm?"
Talking one-sidedly to a baby who couldn't communicate properly yet, Leon always thought this kind of overflowing maternal love only appeared in first-time mothers.
'Who knew even Rossweise was like this?'
Then, as a dragon slayer, he now seriously suspected that the dragon race's natural aggression was entirely due to not having enough children.
So, to subdue the Silver Dragon clan without a single battle, the best solution would be to quickly ask their queen for a fourth child.
Leon shook his head, driving away the chaotic thoughts.
Just in time, the two Noah sisters were about to take Little Light out to play.
"Be careful, don't fall," Rossweise reminded them.
"Got it, Mommy~"
With the daughters out playing, the couple returned to Rossweise's room.
Anna had been airing out and cleaning Her Majesty's room these past few days, so the place was spotless and free of any odors.
Rossweise took off her shoes and walked barefoot to the wardrobe. She pulled out a few pieces of clothing and threw them to Leon, "Go change in the bathroom."
Leon caught the clothes steadily, "Ow."
Seriously, some unfortunate married couples, despite already having three kids, still had to avoid each other when changing clothes.
Hard to comment on that.
After Leon went to the bathroom, Rossweise also found a clean casual outfit to change into.
Not changing clothes for five days was borderline unbearable for someone with mild cleanliness compulsions like her.
Moreover, over these past five days, she had been roughing it in a forest outside the Empire, eating under the open sky, with the stars and moon as company.
At night, she even had to stay alert for patrolling dragon slayers. Not that she feared fighting them, but if she were discovered, she wouldn't be able to keep waiting there for Leon.
Thinking back on her two hundred years of life, was there ever anyone else she had treated with such lowered dignity?
Just a mere prisoner, yet he had made her care so much, utterly ridiculous.
"Hmph, Leon Casmodeous, now that you're back, don't even think about leaving so easily this time."

After finding clean clothes, the two of them also took turns taking a bath.
They didn't bathe together because they didn't want to engage in intense physical activity right after breakfast, it wasn't good for digestion and could cause stomach sagging.
After washing off the exhaustion and fatigue of the past five days, the couple comfortably lay on the bed.
Initially, they planned to take a nap to recover their energy.
However, being tired and being sleepy were two different things. Lying in bed now, they only felt physically drained but not drowsy at all.
Or perhaps, after this brief separation, neither of them wanted to spend the first few hours of their reunion sleeping.
On the bed, their postures were surprisingly identical.
Leaning against the headboard, hands folded over their stomachs, with a big and small teddy bear placed in the middle.
Rossweise was barefoot, her eyes fixed on her own delicate feet. Occasionally, she wiggled her toes, as if killing time.
Or maybe, she was waiting for Leon to start a conversation.
Time ticked by. Rossweise glanced at the wall clock, 'Already nine o'clock.'
If they didn't talk soon, the whole morning would be wasted.
She turned to look at the dragon slayer beside her. This guy was also staring blankly, except he wasn't looking at his own feet but at hers.
'Alright, expecting him to start a conversation is clearly hopeless.'
Rossweise stretched her leg out and lightly touched Leon's with her cold foot.
"What?", Leon lazily responded, but his gaze never left Rossweise's feet.
"You foot fetishist."
"…I'm not."
"If you're not, then why do you keep staring at my feet?"
"What else am I supposed to look at?", Leon spread his hands helplessly.
'Oh, fair enough.'
The queen's room was designed with extreme minimalism, without a single unnecessary decoration.
And Leon, now exhausted and unable to sleep, found staring at dull furnishings a waste of time. He might as well appreciate his fake wife's feet for some aesthetic pleasure.
Was that a foot fetish?
No.
That was simply making good use of time, on jade feet, no, wait, on the edge of the blade.
Rossweise snorted, lifted her leg, and placed it on Leon's.
Her soft calf wasn't as cold, smooth skin brushing against his, quite comfortable.
But Leon wasn't falling for that trick.
He simply pulled his leg out, then pressed it on top of Rossweise's.
Rossweise raised an eyebrow, glared at Leon, then turned sideways and draped her other leg over his.
Now it was a full-on leg entanglement.
'Oh? So she is serious?'
General Leon naturally accepted the challenge.
He turned sideways to face Rossweise and stacked his other leg on top as well.
The couple now lay nose-to-nose, breaths mingling, chests pressed together, while their four legs were tangled like a braided rope.
Leon smirked, "I win. My leg's on top."
The queen huffed, "Don't celebrate too soon. Who said only legs are allowed?"
Leon blinked, 'Wait, she's not about to pull some secret technique, is she?'
Before he could figure it out, her silver tail suddenly raised behind her and, smack!, whipped his topmost leg.
Leon bared his teeth in pain.
Rossweise burst into laughter.
She cupped the dragon slayer's face and, feigning deep affection, said, "See, hubby? Having a tail is so convenient. Let me give you one too, okay?"
Leon kicked his legs free from the "braid" and lay flat again. "No need."
"Fine, don't want it then," Rossweise turned over, hugging her tail, idly flicking the tip with her fingers, feeling rather smug.
After a while, she asked, "By the way, you escaped from the Empire, was it to come back to me?"
"I'm already lying in your bed. Doesn't that answer your question?"
"I don't want a counter-question. I want a direct answer."
Rossweise put her tail down, straightened her back, and looked at Leon, "Did you go through all that trouble escaping the Empire just to come back for me?"
Leon thought for a moment, then firmly replied, "No."
The queen frowned, "Then why?"
"For our daughter."
The next second, the big teddy bear was slammed onto Leon's face.
"One day, I'm going to forge your mouth into the world's strongest armor."
"Then I'll use your mouth as the weapon to match that armor."
The couple wrestled playfully on the bed.
After a while, Leon pulled the teddy bear off his face and said, "Actually, your guess was right. The Empire really is working with Constantine."
Hearing this, Rossweise wasn't particularly surprised. She sat beside Leon in a duck-sit, hugging the teddy bear, murmuring, "That crazy dragon actually allied with humans…"
Leon nodded. "Yeah, and the real reason he attacked your Silver Dragon Sanctuary was actually to get rid of me. The Empire knows I survived that assassination backstab three years ago. If I return to the Empire, I'm highly likely to uncover their secrets. So, they must eliminate me."
"Then… why did they cooperate? And how long has this cooperation lasted?"
"That, I don't know. Master said he wanted to uncover the Empire's conspiracy, but we can't all stay in the Empire. I must return to the dragon race. Doing so not only ensures my safety but also allows me to discover the truth hidden by the Empire sooner."
Leon continued, "Master is investigating inside the Empire while I gather intelligence among the dragons. We work together from within and without, exchanging information every three months at the cave where Master previously hid."
Hearing Leon and his master's plan, Rossweise raised her elegant eyebrows, "The timing and location of this information exchange don't seem like something you came up with, do they?"
Leon grinned, baring his teeth, "We're family, no need to split hairs over who thought of what."
A blush instantly spread across Rossweise's face. She lightly hammered Leon's chest with the teddy bear in her hands, "Shameless! Who's family with you?"
After a brief pause, Rossweise suddenly realized something. Her blushing face immediately turned cold, "Oh~ Now I get it. You sly Casmodeous, if it weren't for investigating the Empire and Constantine's conspiracy, you wouldn't have come back, right? That's what this is about, isn't it?"
Leon blinked blankly, thinking to himself, 'Hasn't the whole 'ten months of pregnancy' phase already passed? Why is this big mother dragon still nitpicking my words and throwing a tantrum?'
He glanced at Rossweise. Her beautiful silver eyes were filled with grievance.
Leon's thoughts shifted slightly, and he tentatively said, "Mother dragon, don't tell me… you actually can't bear to part with me?"
If Leon were to attend a job interview, under the "special skills" section of his resume, he would list three things:
1. Dragon slaying.
2. Stubbornness.
3. Asking obvious questions.
But as the saying goes, "Two people sharing the same bed can't be too different."
Compared to Leon, Rossweise was no less competitive.
"Hah, me? Reluctant to part with you? It's the daughters who can't bear to let you go. No matter how good of an excuse I come up with, they'll see through it sooner or later. That's the only reason I wanted you back. And yet you have the nerve to say it's me who can't bear to let you go? Ridiculous."
Leon almost pouted to the sky, "Fine, fine, it's all for the daughters."
After a bit of bickering, Leon noticed that the grievance in the mother dragon's gaze hadn't completely faded. Thinking it over, he decided to give her a serious answer to her earlier question.
"If everything ends after I deal with the traitor, I think… I'd still come back."
He paused, then quickly added, "Ah, but don't get the wrong idea. Coming back doesn't mean I'll stay forever. I still have to return to the Empire from time to time to visit Master, Mistress, and the donkey. As long as the daughters don't get suspicious, that's all that matters, right?"
Like a teenage boy in love, he clumsily yet earnestly explained his actions while trying not to let his true emotions, burning with passion and sincerity, be too obvious.
Because that wouldn't be cool.
Rossweise gazed at Leon, watching his expression, one that wanted to express his feelings but was too prideful to say them out loud.
'Sigh, you're still young. This queen won't argue with you.'
"Oh, I see," Rossweise responded indifferently.
"…See what?"
'There you go again.'
'Misunderstanding things again.'
Rossweise chuckled softly, then leaned forward slightly, placing her hands on the bed as she moved closer to Leon's face. She gazed into his dark eyes and spoke gently, "In simple terms… You just can't bear to leave me, right?"
The dragon slayer's heart skipped a beat. He quickly grabbed the teddy bear beside him and wedged it between himself and Rossweise, "Ridiculous! Me not wanting to leave you is even more ridiculous than you not wanting to leave me!"
