Chapter 10: Preparations
I was confident that with my current skills, I might be able to fight most low leveled Chunin. However if I went into the Chunin exams arc like this, Gara would sneeze and his sand would kill me.
I was not prepared whatsoever.
After our mission and training, the team was about to go our separate ways like usual, but Naido sensei stopped us.
"Squad. I wanted to let you know that the Jounin of Team 7, Kakashi Hatake recently met Shikomu and was curious about our squads progress. He wants our genin to spar and I agreed. As you must know I am not one to back down from a challenge." He said with a smirk.
However I couldn't help but inwardly shake my head. We barely knew anything about our sensei. He for some reason didn't want to bond with us at all.
"So, be properly prepared for tonight. Be back in roughly 12 hours." He said waving us off as he sat upside down at his usual place.
Ayumi then just nodded at us and left, but Kazuto walked directly towards me. Usually, the two would leave and after they did I would bug Naido-Sensei to train us.
"Shikomu, how have you met Kakashi Hatake? Have you by any chance talked with Sasuke Uchiha?" He asked me.
As he asked me that, alarm bells began to ring inside of my head. How the hell did he know the names of these 2?
"No. I met them by chance. I am friends with this character called Naruto…"
"You mean the demon child?"
As he said that, something confirmed inside of my mind. I had been racking my brain about what Kazuto had been doing.
I hypothesized he was meeting with his other friends inside of the village, but it seemed like I missed an obvious connection.
With the obvious amounts of information players should have received in the world so far, maybe he had been asking players in the real world about NPCs.
I mean, it is smart, if he was part of an information network that was being set up, a smart thing to do would be to question anything about irregular people.
Such as the last survivor of a Great Clan.
That's the fastest way to reach the peak of the village Hidden in the Leaves politically after all, to become friends with Sasuke.
I am sure plenty of civilians thought that way but the Hokage put a stop to it from a young age. Yet with the addition of players that would happen again.
"Demon Child? I don't know about that. I just thought about talking to some ... .NPC's would let me get a quest. But eventually I just liked his character so I became friends with him." I tried playing off my friendship.
While I didn't have direct control over major groups of the outside world moving, I could control the relationship of the main character.
I am sure that most clan future heads like Ino, Kiba and Hinata would eventually be approached by players.
Naruto was the only one left out due to the villagers' hate towards him. I didn't need attention towards him, as sad as it was to Naruto that I was cucking him from making more 'friends.'
"So you haven't met them huh…never mind." He said, as he left from the location. Seeing him moving without body-flicker, I couldn't help but shake my head.
He was focusing too much on the unnecessary.
After I was sure the two had left, I approached Naido-sensei once again.
"Ah, if it isn't my favorite Genin," he said with a teasing smirk. "Are you here to finally listen to me preach about Buddha?"
I shook my head. "No, Sensei. Now that we've covered the basics of Taijutsu, I was hoping you'd teach me more Jutsu."
Naido-sensei let out a sigh, already expecting my request. "Shikomu, like I've told you before, go ahead and master the two Jutsu I already taught you first. Once you've done that, I'll consi—"
Before he could finish his sentence, I activated both Jutsu simultaneously—without weaving a single hand sign.
Naido-sensei's eyes widened slightly in surprise.
Using a Jutsu without hand signs, or with minimal ones, was a clear sign of complete mastery.
Using two Jutsu at the same time was definitely crazy
After a brief pause, he let out a chuckle. "Alright then, I'll reward you with two more Jutsu. Tell me the type of Jutsu you're looking for, and I'll choose based on what I know."
I smiled, knowing exactly what I wanted. I then explained my plan regarding fighting Team 7
It was a fairly simple plan, but one that played to my advantages. Tine to trash the Emo Kid.
Naido-sensei nodded as he listened. "I see, this makes sense. Well then, based on your strategy, I'll give you these two Jutsu."

After getting my Jutsu, I spent the next few hours meticulously laying traps. I wasn't naive enough to think I would beat Sasuke in hand to hand combat after just a week of training.
However, I could easily catch the Last Uchiha off guard.

"Awesome! I get to see how strong Shikomu is with this!" Naruto exclaimed.
Sakura also took this as a chance to impress Sasuke, and was fired up.
"Why do we have to waste our time with this? I much rather train by myself." Sasuke mentioned Kakashi.
"I believe this would be a good training exercise for you guys. It is 1 on 1 combat and not a team fight. If it was a team fight…"
"CHA, if it was a team fight. WE WOULD DESTROY THEM!" Sakura exclaimed.
"No…I think even academy students have better teamwork than you guys…Individual fights though. From what I have seen and heard, we should be able to win 2 of the fights." Kakashi told his squad.
As he said that, all 4 of them started nodding for different reasons.
'Sakura would lose to even 8 year old Academy students. She passed through academics thus far…' Kakshi thought.
'Obviously Naruto will lose. He is dead last after all. I have to defeat the opponent Kunoichi, CHA!' Sakura thought.
'Sakura is going to lose.' Sasuke thought. He didn't even think to praise Naruto for his potential victory.
Yet he didn't doubt his capability to win as well. He had seen Naruto create multiple clones. Hundreds would be a problem for anyone.
'It's obviously Sasuke that Kakshi sensei is talking about. Who else can it be?' Naruto thought, while shaking his head up and down.
…
"The rules are simple. Any type of Jutsu is allowed, there is just no crippling of your opponents or killing them." Naido sensei explained.
Behind him was a Budha statue made out of Earth and Naido sensei mimicked Budha's posture.
I could see that Kakashi was sighing as he saw this.
"The first match will be Naruto against Kazuto." Kakashi-sensei announced.
"HUH! But Sensei, I don't want to fight this guy. I want to fight Shikomu!" Nauru announced as he pointed at Kazuto.
"Naido sensei. I would also prefer fighting Sasuke." Kazuto voiced out.
The Jounin looked at each other for a second, before nodding.
"Alright then. Sasuke, fight against Kazuto." Kakashi voiced out.
Sasuke didn't say anything, and with his emo expressions walked forward with his hands inside of his pocket.
"FIGHT!" Kakashi announced.
