chapter 6: THE FIRST HUNT AND HARSH PUNISHMENT
Demos speaking:"What ability?
" he asked.
The voice speaking: my son you can't understand my unique ability even if I explained it to you.
Demos speaking: "hey come on",how would you know
The voice speaking:" ok ok", but you'll have to call me mother first and I'll explain it to you
Demos wasn't expecting her to ask that of him. Demos who never known what it felt like to have or called someone his mother. Demos was so embarrassed, to the point he blurted out different words that didn't make a full sentence the voice from the interface was startled then laughed at him.
Demos speaking: "what",no I'm not ready, but, why, no,hey, what .
The voice speaking:"ahahahahah ahahahahah", calm down Demos, when you're ready to call me mother, mom or even mommy I'll be here
Demos felt reassure hearing his mother words and a calming sensation filled his heart, he then ask.
Demos speaking: so are you going to tell me what kind of ability it was
The voice speaking:well yes but not now
Demos exclaimed.
Demos Speaking: " What" why is it because I'm too weak
The voice speaking: well yes, and your not ready, and "stop disturbing me when I'm explaining something" ok
Demos suddenly remember that suffocating pressure he felt and answers like an obedient child.
Demos speaking: yes your majesty
She started to laugh then say
The voice speaking: "ahahahahahahahaha",Demos to you I'm no queen, just a mother trying to protect her only child.
Demos now understanding how it felt to be love by a mother smiling unknowingly to him tears trickling down his cheeks he murmured so low ,the system interface shown a bright light and flickering on an off
Demos speaking: thank you, MOTHER.
His mother speaking : my baby has finally called me mother, this calls for a celebration, I think I'll go visit that old man for once, as I was saying I gave you my own bone marrow and celestial vanes so you could healed in the chambers of nothingness
Demos speaking: so your saying your bone marrow and celestial vanes turned me into your biological son, is that right
His mother speaking: yes, you and i have the exact same bone marrow and celestial vanes and we're now 99% related by blood an the best part is, on like your, father who only has the two colored Lightning from the original five colored lightning, you and i both have all the colors of the five colored Lightning, ahahahahah aaa I guess that experiment work perfectly
Demos speaking: WHAT THE FUCK MOTHER DID YOU JUST SAY I WAS A FUCKING EXPERIMENT
Demos exclaimed in surprise to know that his mother used him as an experiment subject
His mother start playing dumb as if she didn't just admit to Demos questions
His mother speaking: I have no idea what your talking about
She's now trying to change the topic as fast as she can.
His mother Speaking: oooo it looks like your Spartan innate ability will awaken soon
Demos speaking: hey mother don't just skip the topic like ,hey wait, innate ability what's that
Demos stop half way in his sentence when he realized his mother said something about his Spartan innate ability so he quickly forget the fact she used him as an experimental subject
His mother speaking: ok baby boy I'll have to contact you again, the mana stone is about to".
His mother didn't get to finish her sentence because the mana stone run out of magic. But Demos didn't know so he kept calling for his mother.
Demos speaking: mother,mother, mother say something I want to know what innate ability your talking about
She was disconnected from Demos, she start smiling remember the fact that he call her mother.
Demos was calling out to his mother but to no avail starts to curse in disappointment wanting to know the answer of what is and innate ability.
Demos sigh then turned to the cave's entrance where a familiar voice called out
Akira speaking: tribe leader your awake are you ok
Demos speaking :yes I'm fine is there something wrong
Akira speaking: no tribe leader,
but 6 moons ago we heard you screamed out so loud startling the warrior's who were standing at the cave entrance, they were afraid to enter the cave with out your permission.
Demos eyes pop open wide hearing 6 moon has past, he shook his head left and right looking for his axe when he found it he then pick it up and ask
Demos speaking: where is Gorthok, that fucking bastard tried to roast me.
Akira's expression remained stoic, her eyes revealing nothing. She seemed to have anticipated Demos' question, her demeanor unruffled by the mention of Gorthok attempt to roast him. Without a word, she turned and gestured for Demos to follow her.
Demos trailed behind Akira as she led him out of the cave. The moment they stepped into the sunlight, Demos was forced to squint his eyes. The brightness was overwhelming, a stark contrast to the dimly lit cave. He raised a hand to shield his eyes, taking a moment to adjust to the intense light.
As his vision cleared, Demos took in their surroundings. They were standing at the edge of a vast, open plain. The landscape stretched out before them, a seemingly endless expanse of rugged cliffs, rocky outcroppings, and twisted, dying trees. The air was thick with the stench of rot and decay, and the ground was littered with the skeletal remains of animals long dead.
Demos' gaze swept across the desolate landscape, his heart sinking. This was a place of death and hardship, where only the strongest survived. He felt a shiver run down his spine as he realized that he was brought into this unforgiving world, with no idea what dangers lay ahead.
Akira led Demos to an open area, where Gorthok stood, his massive frame looming over the surrounding landscape. The air was thick with the stench of rot and decay, and the ground was littered with the remains of animals.
As Demos approached, the tribesmen noticed his arrival and all gathered around, their eyes fixed on the Spartan warrior with a mixture of curiosity and astonishment. They seemed to be studying him, taking in every detail of his appearance. But when Gorthok's one eye landed on Demos axe, his expression changed in an instant.
A look of utter bewilderment crossed his face, and he took a step back, his massive frame radiating confusion. He was staring at Demos with a look of complete incomprehension, as if he couldn't understand how did he manage to survive and where did he get such a magnificent weapon the Spartan warrior has in his hand and How did he managed to survive their previous battle with such devastating wounds.
Theirs not a single scratch on Demos' body, the only remaining evidence of their previous battle is all gone,and the axe seemed so fascinated to Gorthok, who stared at it with an unblinking gaze. Gorthok eye darted back and forth, as if searching for answers.
The tribesmen sensed Gorthok confusion and began to murmur amongst themselves..
Gorthok's scowl deepened, his one eye flashing with a look of troubled and concern. As a reminder of the punishment he was about to receive, Gorthok dropped his bone spear to the ground, the sound echoing through the air and he said.
Gorthok speaking:"I will receive my punishment," .
Gorthok growled, feeling disappointed in himself "for underestimating the strength of the new Tribe Leader."
A massive warrior step forward to Demos, now referred to him as the new Tribe Leader and said.
The massive warrior speaking: "You have proven your strength in battle, Tribe Leader."
he said.
The massive warrior speaking:"I maverick", will like to hunt alongside you," great Warrior of Sparta".
the remainder 3 warriors then step forward and introduce there self.
The first warrior speaking: "I Ryker will also want to hunt alongside the new Tribe Leader".
The second warrior speaking:"I Thane will also want to hunt alongside the new Tribe Leader".
The third warrior speaking:"I kael will also want to hunt alongside the new Tribe Leader".
Akira's curious eyes never left Demos face, her expression a mixture of concern and respect. She knew that the new Tribe Leader is a strong warrior, and she wondered what punishment he would decree for Gorthok.
Demos now the new Tribe Leader expression remained unreadable as he listened to the 4 warriors introductions, his eyes fixed on Gorthok then he said.
Demos speaking:"I will not punish you Gorthok", not at this moment at least
he said finally. His axe in his right hand and said to Gorthok and the 4 warriors.
Demos speaking:"Instead, I will hunt with you and the 4 warriors, Together, we will prove our strength and bring back a massive beast and celebrate a new beginning for our tribe."
He declared. the tribe's men were left dumbfounded, suddenly one of the tribe man cried out in joy followed by the rest of the tribe who starts to celebrating and anticipating a great feast and a new beginning.
Gorthok's face remained somber, but a hint of gratitude flickered in his one eye.
Gorthok speaking: "Thank you, Tribe Leader,"
he said, his voice low and respectful. Demos heard Gorthok whisper and laughs then said
Demos speaking:" hahahahah ahahahahahahah", aren't you thanking me a bit too soon, your punishment will be life threatening and a stress relief for the warrior's but cheer up I will never let any of my people die, with this axe we will be victorious in this hunt.
Gorthok suddenly felt a shiver run down his spine hearing Demos words but felt peace knowing Demos won't allow any deaths in his hunt he smiled and said
Gorthok speaking: I'm ready Tribe Leader
Demos smiled then said
Demos speaking: let's head out
With that, the group set off, Demos, Gorthok, kael,Thane, Ryker and Maverick leave the rocky planes venturing into the unknown.
