chapter 10: MIGRATION

A woman's laughter slowly faded away as she heard migration, and she gazed out at the desolate landscape as if sensing the urgency in Demos' words. Her eyes narrowed, and her expression turned determined.

The women speaking:"Three moons?"

she repeated, her voice low and steady.

The woman speaking:"Isn't That's too short ,What's the reason for this migration, Tribe Leader?"

Her gaze swept across the horizon, as if searching for any sign of the danger that lurked beyond the void. as if responding to her growing unease.

The woman speaking:"We need to know what we're up against,"

she continued, her voice firm.

The woman speaking:"What's the nature of this threat? Is it the perezoso, or something else entirely?"

Demos stood before the tribe, his expression resolute.

Demos speaking:"We must prepare to leave for a new home,"

he once more announced.

Demos speaking:"The Tall People have been tracking us, and we cannot stay here. We will depart on the third moon."

The woman expression turn pale as she fell to the ground in fear

Demos speaking:"I will scout ahead to ensure our safety".

Demos continued.

Demos speaking:"Within two moons, I will gather information on the safest route and prepare the way for our tribe. When i find a new home, we will start anew."

Demos' eyes swept across the faces before him, his gaze steady and reassuring. "Let us work together to prepare for our journey. We will leave on the third moon. Let us be ready."

The tribe nodded, understanding the gravity of their situation. They would follow Demos, trusting in his guidance to keep them safe.

The tribe began to disperse, each member returning to their respective tasks. Demos watched them go, his mind already turning to the challenges ahead. He knew that the journey to find a new home would be fraught with danger, but he was determined to keep his people safe.

As he stood there, lost in thought, a figure approached him. It was Akira, the tribe's skilled healer.

Akira speaking:"Demos, I've been thinking,"

Akira said, her voice low and serious.

Akira speaking:"We'll need to be prepared for injuries on the journey. The Tall People are relentless, and they won't give up easily."

Demos nodded, his expression grim.

Demos speaking:"I know, Akira. But we have no choice. We must leave, or risk being slaughtered in this rocky plains we called home."

Akira nodded, her eyes flashing with determination.

Akira speaking:"I'll do everything I can to help, Demos. I'll make sure our people are healthy and strong for the journey."

Demos smiled, a small, tight smile.

Demos speaking:"I know they can count on you, Akira. Your skills as a healer will be crucial on our journey."

Over the next two moons, the tribe worked tirelessly to prepare for their journey. They packed what little they had, gathered food and supplies.

Demos stood tall, his eyes fixed on the mountain ahead. He had traveled for one moon, searching for a new home for his tribe. Finally, he had found it - a beautiful valley nestled beyond the mountain.

But as he began his journey back to his tribe, Demos knew that he would have to cross a treacherous river and climb the mountain once more. He steeled himself for the challenge, knowing that it would be worth it in the end.

When Demos returned to his tribe, he found them huddled together in a desolate, rocky plain surrounded by twisted trees. The air was thick with the scent of death, and Demos knew that they could not stay there for long.

Demosvspeaking:"I have found a new home,"

Demos told his tribe, his voice filled with excitement.

Demos speaking:"It is a beautiful valley, nestled beyond the mountain. We will be safe there, and we will thrive."

The tribe listened intently, their eyes filled with hope. They had been living in the rocky plain for far too long, and they were eager for a change.

Demos led a group of fifty people, including elderly women, children, and his five skilled warriors: Gorthok, Ryker, Kael, Maverick, and Thane. They set out towards the mountain, determined to reach their new home.

As they reach the mountain, they encountered a raging river that blocked their path. Demos knew that they had to cross it, but he also knew that it would be treacherous.

Just as they were about to cross the river, a group of ferocious creatures emerged from the shadows. They were massive and deadly, with razor-sharp claws and teeth.

Demos knew that they had to fight, or risk being killed. He drew his axe, ready to face the creatures head-on.

"Take the children and climb the mountain!" Demos shouted to Akira.

Demos speaking:"We'll hold off the creatures!"

Akira nodded, grabbing a child who had fallen behind. Demos pushed him forward, urging him to climb the mountain.

Demos stood his ground, ready to face the creatures. He was joined by Gorthok, Ryker, Kael, Maverick, and Thane - his five skilled warriors.

Together, they fought bravely, determined to protect their people. The battle was fierce, but Demos and his warriors were determined to emerge victorious.

As the fight raged on, Demos knew that he had to hold off the creatures long enough for his people to climb the mountain. He fought with all his might, using every trick in the book to keep the creatures at bay.

As the creatures attacked, Ryker, Maverick, Gorthok, Thane, and Kael fought bravely alongside Demos. But despite their valiant efforts, they soon found themselves overwhelmed.

Ryker stumbled backwards, his arm badly wounded by a creature's claw. Maverick fell to the ground, his leg twisted at an awkward angle. Gorthok clutched his side, his face pale with pain. Thane and Kael were also badly hurt, their bodies battered and bruised.

Demos knew that his warriors were in no shape to continue fighting. He made a swift decision, ordering them to retreat up the hill to safety.

"Go!" Demos shouted, his voice ringing out above the din of battle. "I'll hold off the creatures! Get to safety!"

Ryker, Maverick, Gorthok, Thane, and Kael hesitated for a moment, but Demos' words were firm and commanding. They knew that they had to trust him, and so they reluctantly retreated up the hill, leaving Demos to face the creatures alone.

As they climbed, they looked back to see Demos standing tall, his one-handed axe at the ready. He was surrounded by the creatures, but he showed no fear. With a fierce cry, he charged forward, his axe flashing in the sunlight.

Ryker, Maverick, Gorthok, Thane, and Kael watched in awe as Demos fought on, his body a blur of motion as he struck down creature after creature. They knew that they had to get to safety, but they couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and admiration for their leader, who was willing to risk everything to protect them.

Demos stood alone, his eyes fixed on the horde of creatures before him. There were fifty of them, their twisted bodies a mass of razor-sharp claws and teeth. Demos knew that he had to hold them off, no matter what.

The creatures charged, their jaws open wide. Demos gripped his one-handed axe tightly, ready to face them head-on. The battle was intense, the creatures attacking from all sides. Demos fought bravely, his axe flashing in the sunlight as he struck down creature after creature.

But despite his valiant efforts, Demos was vastly outnumbered. The creatures were relentless, their claws tearing at his flesh. Demos stumbled backwards, his vision blurring. He was severely injured, his body battered and bruised.

Just when all seemed lost, Demos felt a surge of energy course through his body. His eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, and his body began to crackle with electricity. The creatures paused, taken aback by the sudden display of power.

Demos took advantage of the distraction to launch a fierce counterattack. His axe flashed in the sunlight, striking true again and again. The creatures were caught off guard, and they stumbled backwards under the ferocity of Demos' attack.

But despite his newfound powers, Demos was still vastly outnumbered. The creatures regrouped, their claws snapping wildly as they attacked. Demos fought bravely, his body crackling with electricity. He struck down creature after creature, his axe flashing in the sunlight.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the creatures lay defeated at Demos' feet. He stood tall, his chest heaving with exhaustion. His body was battered and bruised, his flesh torn and bleeding. But he had emerged victorious, his powers proving to be the deciding factor in the battle.

As the last creature fell, Demos felt his strength fade. He stumbled backwards, his vision blurring. He fell to the ground, his body unconscious.

The two warriors Maverick and Thane - climbed back down the mountain, their faces etched with concern. They found Demos lying on the ground, his body battered and bruised.

Thane knelt beside him, his hand on Demos' shoulder.

Thane speaking "Demos, can you hear me?"

he asked, his voice filled with concern.

But Demos did not respond. He lay unconscious, his body broken and battered. The warriors exchanged worried glances, their faces etched with concern. They knew that Demos had suffered severe injuries, and they feared for his life.
