Chapter 3: Divine Warning

Selene ran through the crowded streets, her heart pounding. She didn't dare look back, but she could still feel his presence lingering. That man—whoever he was—wasn't normal. He wasn't just strong. He was something beyond her understanding.

She needed to warn someone.

Ducking into a quiet shrine hidden between tall buildings, she placed her hands together and whispered an incantation. A soft light shimmered, and an ethereal figure appeared before her—a middle-aged man with stern eyes and a golden robe. One of the lesser divine messengers.

"Selene," the figure spoke, his voice low. "Why have you summoned me?"

"I found someone… No, something," she whispered. "A being too powerful to be human. Too ancient to be a god of this era."

The messenger frowned. "Describe him."

She did, and as she spoke, the messenger's expression darkened. "It can't be…"

"You know who he is, don't you?" Selene pressed.

The messenger exhaled slowly. "If he is who I fear… then the balance of power is about to shatter. The Council must know of this immediately."

Selene clenched her fists. "Then tell them. Because if this man is who you think he is… the gods are in danger."

Meanwhile, Akira leaned against a rooftop railing, watching the shrine from above. He smirked.

"So, the warning has begun," he mused. "Good. Let the gods prepare. It won't change their fate."

Then, he turned away, vanishing into the night, leaving only the whisper of his presence lingering in the air.

And so, the storm began.

The divine council had ruled unchallenged for too long. They had grown weak, corrupt, arrogant. Now, the one they feared most had returned.

And Akira would remind them why he was called the Eternal Ruler.
