As Tianyang descended from the sky, Lie Renwǒ's eyes sparkled with wonder, and he rushed to embrace the elderly man. However, his excitement was short-lived, as a hint of skepticism crept into his voice.
"How is this possible?" Lie Renwǒ asked, pushing Tianyang back to arm's length. "I thought you died, and you weren't immortal. How can you still be alive?"
Tianyang's eyes twinkled with a knowing glint. "It's because of you, Lie Renwǒ. I sacrificed myself for you, and the ancestors were so pleased that they gifted me with immortality. I awoke from death and found myself in this realm."
Lie Renwǒ's eyes widened in shock, and Tianyang's gaze turned piercing. "Aren't you a mortal? How can you be in an immortal realm when you haven't reached that stage... unless..." Tianyang's voice trailed off, and Lie Renwǒ's eyes locked onto his.
"You're a Supreme God," Tianyang declared, his voice filled with awe.
Lie Renwǒ nodded, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. "Yes, I am. And by the way, sorry. Meet Ling Yin, my friend."
Tianyang's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, and he greeted Ling Yin with a respectful bow. "What an honor to meet you, young one. I must say, I'm impressed. Lie Renwǒ, you've always had a certain... je ne sais quoi. But I never suspected you were a Supreme God."
Tianyang's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "So, where do you live now?"
Lie Renwǒ's response was nonchalant. "I'm at the Xiao Family."
Tianyang's eyes snapped shut, and when they opened again, they were blazing with surprise. "What!! The Xiao Family? How did you end up there? The Supreme Goddess is their leader, and she's as powerful as her husband, the Supreme God."
Lie Renwǒ's grin was mischievous. "I know. Because Mei is my mom."
Tianyang's eyes went wide, and he let out a thunderous shout. "WHAT?!"
As Tianyang's thunderous shout still echoed through the air, a blinding flash of light illuminated the surroundings, and Ling Yin vanished into thin air. Lie Renwǒ and Tianyang sprinted after the mysterious entity, their feet pounding the ground in unison.
As they approached the Ruined Half Realm, Tianyang halted abruptly, his eyes locked onto the desolate landscape. "We cannot proceed," he declared, his voice laced with a sense of foreboding. "This realm is a bastion of darkness, a place where the most powerful beings are banished. It is not just gods who inhabit this realm, but also demons."
Lie Renwǒ's face contorted in anguish. "But it has kidnapped my friend, and it's getting late. We have to return home with her." His eyes blazed with determination.
Tianyang's grip on Lie Renwǒ's shoulder tightened. "I understand your situation, but entering the Ruined Half Realm is tantamount to courting disaster. Are you prepared to face the perils that lie within?"
Lie Renwǒ's jaw clenched in resolve. "I'll go alone, then. I have to save my friend." With a deep breath, he soared into the Ruined Half Realm, leaving Tianyang behind.
As he flew over the desolate landscape, he descended into a dark forest, where the skeletal remains of creatures and humans littered the ground. The air was heavy with strange, pulsating sounds, and noxious green gases swirled around him.
Suddenly, a pair of glowing eyes materialized in the darkness, fixing Lie Renwǒ with an unblinking stare. As he ventured deeper into the forest, he encountered two figures – their bodies twisted and corrupted, yet somehow alive.
Their eyes burned with an otherworldly energy, and they launched themselves at Lie Renwǒ with ferocious cries, their fists imbued with dark, pulsating power. Lie Renwǒ stood ready, his determination to rescue Ling Yin burning brighter than ever.
Lie Renwǒ's battle with the two twisted figures was a spectacle to behold. With ease, he blasted their bones into pieces, sending them scattering across the forest floor. However, in a shocking turn of events, the bones began to reassemble, combining to form a colossal figure that towered over Lie Renwǒ.
Undaunted, Lie Renwǒ summoned a thunderstorm from the skies, unleashing a barrage of lightning bolts upon the gargantuan entity. But to his surprise, the creature absorbed the thunderstorm's power, its strength increasing tenfold.
Lie Renwǒ's response was swift and decisive. He drew his Annihilator Sword, its blade shimmering with an ethereal light. As he struck the sword between the creature's eyes, he recited ancient words of incantation, imbuing the blade with unparalleled power.
The sword sliced through the creature's skull, cleaving it into two halves. This time, the creature's remains did not reassemble, and Lie Renwǒ breathed a sigh of relief.
As he turned to leave, he spotted a figure resembling Ling Yin walking behind a nearby tree. His heart skipped a beat as he hastened to follow, hoping to reunite with his friend.
Finally, he reached the figure and called out, "Ling Yin, is that you?" The figure turned, and Lie Renwǒ's eyes narrowed as he took in the sight. Though the figure looked identical to Ling Yin, its voice was different, and Lie Renwǒ's instincts screamed warning.
"Why is your voice different?" Lie Renwǒ asked, his tone cautious. "What happened?"
The figure's response was nonchalant. "I just felt like coming here, so I rushed to this place."
Lie Renwǒ's eyes narrowed. "Are you sure? It's late, and we have to go."
The figure's demeanor shifted, its eyes flashing with malevolence. "We're not going out of here alive!" it shouted.
Lie Renwǒ's gaze turned icy. "You're not Ling Yin. Where is she?"
