"but by destroying some parasites we might be able to gain a greater understanding of how they're created. Using that we might be able to create our own easier. What do you say?"

Hou thought for a while and ultimately decided,

"Do it, there's so many parasites even if nothing comes from it, only a few will be lost."

Hou firmed his resolve and told Yue to destroy a few parasites in order to find out whether their theory was correct.

Yue took control over Hou's body and took the few parasites he had left in his hands. They used complicated methods and looked over them before destroying them with the brain symbiote recently gained. Even after destroying them, Yue continued to try different methods that were too numerous and complicated for Hou to follow.

Yue relinquished How's body and while exhausted still had energy to talk.

"Indeed it is as I thought, I haven't figured it out just yet but the gist is that the spirit wills are fake but are connected to the real ones and derived their power from the central real spirit will. Just a few more parasites and I should be able to figure how to use them. Sadly, when the parasite are destroyed the spirit wills dissipate and return to the original. But before they do, they seem to combine with any false spirit will that derives from the same original."

"I see what you're hinting at, if they combine before disappearing, I could replant then into a body and gain a stronger one. Sometimes one strong person is better than two weak. But conversely, the opposite can also be true."

"Indeed, and I think we should test this with those eye parasites of yours. Remember how I told you they were one split in two, if we combine them and replace their shell, we may gain a much stronger overall ability."

"But if we fail, I lose the parasite..."

"Not just the parasite there's a chance your eyes will be damaged since the parasite and your eye have merged"

"Do you think you, or we, could pull it off, what's the odds?" Hou was worried but if Yue was confident he would trust in that and take the risk.

"70:30 that it succeeds and 15:15 your eyes will remain undamaged, but I believe that I could do it"

"If you believe you can, then that's all I need to hear, let's do it!"

Hou could feel a sort of nod from Yue and he remembered control over his body. Yue took control and did something that if anybody else saw it, would call Hou crazy.

Yue moved his hand over his eyes and pushed his fingers in. They dug into Hou's eye sockets, carefully pulling it his eyes.

Then blindly, Yue reconstructed the eyes in his mind and carefully destroyed the parasite in the eyes, and at the exact moment he sensed the spirit wills combine he formed placed the he's back in and formed a blood formation mimicking the parasite mechanism inside the left eye.

The spirit will send it was still in a parasite and didn't leave to rejoin the main body.

"It is done, not only the parasite but also I've figured out how they are made." Yue said while holding on after using so much energy.

"And my eyes are completely fine, should I test the parasite or are you almost asleep, do you need to tell me first"

"Yes test it after I fall asleep, first the method to create these false spirit wills to draw power from the original. What you need is to place condensed will in the spirit will and activate it inside this formation I will create in your inner world. What it does is record them spirit will and importing a copy into your condensed will..."

Yue made the formation and fell asleep while explaining it.

Hou took his time to test out the newly formed parasite in his left eye. From the outside it was not a plant, but now it had changed colour from black to blue.

Hou activated the ability and saw nothing change!

He did not despair, but went outside and flew into the sky and tested it again, this time Hou saw the flight pattern of birds in the sky in transparent forms. Hou seemed to get some sort of predictive ability which can show what is probable to happen in the shirt future.

The more Hou used it, the more phantoms were formed, it seems that as the future progresses the more possibilities are formed and the predictions get harder to follow.

The more solid the phantom, the more likely that is to happen. So the more the phantom was transparent, the less likely it would happen, but still possible.

Hou saw the success in this experiment and thought how much better the ability seemed to be and thought of destroying the shells of all his parasites from now on, turning his body into one large container for spirit wills.

After, Hou decided to check the other thing Yue had deduced. Hou condensed a number of wills and found his own spirit will. Hou moved the two into the formation Yue had formed in his inner world. He started to activate the ability but then realised if it happened it might bring him back to the past before the formation, in order to counteract this Hou used the spirit will not on himself but on a random stick, so nothing happened but the condensed will had become a false spirit will.

Hou deduced that the power that the false spirit will used of the original might be proportional to the amount or density of will used to create it.

Hou decided not to test the false spirit will himself and decided today he would create multiple strengths of false will and tomorrow give them to his trusted members of his sect.

Hou also was relieved that he wouldn't need to find new parasites for sect rewards and could create them himself.
