chapter 163

For that first moment it felt foreign and a herculean task, but as he acclimated to the new 'body' he got used to it. It felt natural for him to fly in the air with the blood Dao and using his blood and willpower.

"Right, let's actually combine the experiments. I can possess the Bloodbane Dragon but can I now use my abilities and create a slash. But I don't want to unexpectedly hurt Jin so... I'll use the light of the sun."

However, as Hou was thinking of his impression of the sun, focusing on the light and not power he came to a problem,

"... My laws are mostly in my body, I only have blood laws and the h along laws with me... I really should've thought about this. Hey maybe this is good though, I'll test the quasi-Nascent Soul and how it can influence the Bloodbane Dragon when used directly."

And so Hou began using h Laing laws and injected them into his own body while he gained an intuition knowledge of how to shoot out the dimensional slash.

It was like the knowledge how to move a muscle. He didn't know how, he just could. And so Hou coiled in the air and flew around Jin. At the same time, he had to dodge the blood snakes she sent out.

However with his human intelligence, he could control the body in more intricate patterns which there the blood snakes further on his trail. And so Hou gained some distance and activated the ability.

The dimensional slash took on a slightly refreshing glow and a hint of green. It shout out from the Bloodbane Dragon and used up all the blood, causing Hou's body to flop and fall out the sky.

However, as he laid on the ground, he watched his attack. It worked perfectly and even more so, the healing completely merged with the blood Dimensional slash, as compared when he did it himself and it was only an addition.

"Hmm. From what I can gather the way the quasi-Nascent Soul is using the laws is integrating them into the world directly as opposed to letting the out freely. I think this would allow higher control over effects with less willpower..."

Then the slash hit the guarded Jin but she did not need to guard against it. That's because the healing laws merged with the blood and caused it to become healing blood.

It splattered on contact with Jin and healed any small wounds she had not yet healed herself. This was even more amplified by Jin's blood cultivation and knowledge herself. Once it attacked she realised,

"This isn't an attack. This is the healing blood, if I circulate it faster I should be able to heal faster. And I should be able to absorb the blood for my own cultivation. A special healing blood and not the healing effect of blood... Not an expression, something unique about this blood, how did he do it? Is it a special beast's blood?"

Jin was overthinking Hou's ability, he had just become lucky with how the blood ability merged with his quasi-Nascent Soul and started a misconception with a blood path practitioner.

Jin took the blood gradually and meditated on the spot, standing up. She absorbed the blood and kept it within her body to use for healing methods, this was one specialty of blood path.

They used materials, the blood, which can be absorbed into the body and possibly help and be used for active abilities. Hou did not yet understand this, but it only enhanced Jin's thoughts on Hou,

"First the blood Dao vibrating which each use of that dragon technique and then this special blood. Maybe he cultivated blood path mainly but doesn't want to show it? It is still discriminated against for unscrupulous practitioners, perhaps that's why?"

Hou returned to his body and walked over to the dry Bloodbane Dragon, dropping blood on it. It instantly wriggled to life and burrowed itself back into Hou's arm, recovering.

He then held out his hands towards Jin,

"Thank you. That was a great spar, and I could test out many things, sincerely thank you."

Jin shook his hand lightly and shook her head,

"Won't even worry about it, I was initially thinking you were weak but you've got more under the surface; though we were both holding back lots. And I should be thanking you for the healing blood."

Hou furrowed his brows for a second and muttered under his breath,

"Healing blood?"

"Yes, the final 'attack', thanks. That blood might help me when activating my other healing abilities. Anything I can do for you instead, maybe for a bit more of that blood?"

"Actually, why not do this. If you're fine with it, that is. You give me a bucket of whatever kind of blood and I give you a bucket of the healing blood?"

Hou needed variety, and this was the perfect time. He would expand on his other paths later, he still hasn't figured out what he wants to cultivate primarily.

Jin thought for a second and nodded,

"I'll give you two buckets. The blood I'll give you won't be worth it otherwise. That fine?"

Hou held out husband again,

"Then it's a deal. Bring to class tomorrow? Or send to rooms? How should we give it to each other?"

"Just leave outside your door, I have my ways."

Hou was confused but accepted it. He did not yet know and put together with looks, that Jin was Master Sheng's daughter and so could easily get her father or others to deliver blood.

Hou called over Lan Qiang and so the three walked back into the mansion together. All the while, they talked about the fight, good, bad. Everything.

Hou and Jin were in the moment and did some things in instinct, they also had different perspectives. Lan Qiang however. Was a complete outsider and so could watch the two front be outside.

However, unlike Hou or Jin, he did not have many investigative abilities and so could only guess with intuition on some inner working in the astral world.
