Luca’s Counterattack

Luca didn't believe in waiting.

If Raines wanted a war, he was going to get one. Immediately.

Back at the safe house, Henry was already pulling up blueprints of Raines' known properties. Warehouses. Clubs. Private estates.

Sofia paced, checking her weapons. "We should hit him hard before he even knows what's happening."

Luca, calm as ever, studied the screen. His mind was already a step ahead.

"We don't just hit him," he said. "We cripple him."

Raines' main warehouse sat on the edge of the city. A fortress. Security was tight—guards at every entrance, cameras covering every inch.

Too bad it wouldn't be enough.

Because Luca had a plan.

2:00 AM.

The night was thick with fog as Luca, Sofia, and a small team approached the warehouse.

Silencers on. Knives ready.

No alarms. No noise.

Just precision.

Luca moved like a shadow, taking down the first guard without a sound. Sofia handled the next one, dragging his unconscious body behind a stack of crates.

They slipped inside, the smell of oil and gunpowder thick in the air. Weapons. Cash. Drugs.

All of it? About to burn.

Henry's voice came through the earpiece. "You've got two minutes before patrols circle back."

Luca and Sofia moved fast, planting charges in key spots.

Then—

A noise.

Footsteps.

Someone was coming.

Luca and Sofia ducked behind a stack of crates just as a door swung open.

A familiar voice.

"I know you're here, DeLuca."

Sofia's grip tightened on her gun. Luca didn't move.

Raines.

Luca smirked, stepping out of the shadows. "That's impressive, Raines. Didn't think you had the guts to show up in person."

Raines chuckled, standing just a few feet away, hands in his pockets. "I figured you'd come for payback."

He glanced around, eyes sharp. "But this? This is just reckless."

Luca shrugged. "Not reckless. Inevitable."

Raines sighed. "You're making a mistake."

Luca tilted his head. "Am I?"

A beat.

Then—he pressed the detonator.

BOOM.

The explosion ripped through the warehouse.

Flames roared, metal groaned, and the entire structure shook.

Luca didn't wait.

He turned, grabbed Sofia's wrist, and ran.

Gunfire exploded behind them as they dove through a side exit just before the flames reached the ammo stockpile—

BOOM.

A second explosion lit up the night.

They hit the ground, breathing hard, watching as the warehouse collapsed in on itself.

Raines was inside.

And Luca?

He didn't look back.

Because this was just the beginning.
