- Yellow Thunder's backstory
Yellow grew up with his grandmother, but his parents were rarely present. At first, it's unclear why they were absent, but their absence forced him to fend for himself from a young age. This shaped his independent and observant nature, always anticipating others' reactions. He developed a skill for analyzing situations without drawing attention to himself—something that helps him in battles today.
He has known Professor Oak for a long time, but their connection is not as straightforward as one might think. He doesn't see him as a father figure but rather as a man who occasionally asked him strange questions about Pokémon strategy and psychology. Yellow learned a lot from him without really meaning to. Was Oak testing his abilities without telling him why?
At some point in his past, he likely experienced a decisive battle—perhaps a game of human chess rather than a Pokémon battle. One day, someone manipulated him, betrayed him, used him in a way he only understood afterward. Since then, Yellow no longer trusts appearances. This is why he never relies on obvious answers and always seeks to understand others' true motivations.
Yellow may have made a promise to someone in his childhood, a promise he never speaks about but that subconsciously drives him. Perhaps it was to a former friend or a family member—something that compels him to always look ahead, never playing just for the present.
Without realizing it, his past might be closely connected to Team Rocket. Maybe his father or mother was involved, whether willingly or not. This could explain why Yellow seems naturally distrustful, as if he grew up in a world where manipulation and power struggles were the norm.
