Am a Zombie
Pain. Unbearable, agonizing pain.
Damian's eyes shot open as he gasped, clutching his head.
"Wait… I'm alive?"
No—something felt… off. My body felt cold. My skin looked pale. A strange, rotten scent clung to me. And then, the memory hit me like a truck.
"Did I… die yesterday?"
Before i could fully process it, a familiar chime rang in my mind.
[Host indeed died yesterday.][Host can check his current status by calling out "Status."]
Damian's breath hitched. A system? Was this real? Was he seriously in one of those novels where the protagonist gets an overpowered cheat ability?
"Alright… 'Status'!"
A translucent screen appeared before him.

Damian blinked. "Wait… Biomass Consumed? That doesn't mean what I think it does, right?"
The system chimed in again.
[It is exactly what host is thinking. Biomass Consumed is just a flashy way of saying 'amount of flesh you've eaten.']

Then another realization struck him. Evolution point does that mean he will be able to evolve to a stronger zombie

Damian groaned, running a hand through his hair—only to realize some of it had fallen out. Great. First, I become a zombie, and now I'm balding.
Then—
[Threat detected.]
Damian's heart dropped. He turned his head sharply—
A figure emerged from the shadows.

Damian's eyes widened. "Wait… this thing is Level 2, but it's weaker than me in some areas?"

The walker lunged.
Instinct took over. Damian dodged to the side, but the zombie's claws still grazed him.

"Are you serious? Aren't you supposed to be an OP system guiding me to become the strongest?"
The system didn't respond. Instead, the zombie lunged again.
"Shit, shit, shit—!"
With no other choice, Damian did what any smart undead would do.
He turned tail and ran
After dodging the attack the next thing that happened was quite expected, Damian turned and ran like his life depended on it!! Well his life did depended on it after running for about 5 minutes he stopped running , this should be far enough I should be safe now .

The system chimed again..... Wait are you joking then why did you said I should run? Damian said furiously!!

That more than enough time, Damian smile wickedly. As twenty minutes pass by the trap was all set and right on schedule was our friend;

Damian noticed that the stamina had reduced, system why is it so? Why my stamina did not reduce but this zombie one did

Tsk!! As the zombie draw nearer tension couldn't help but grip Damian. As the zombie lunged forward it fell on the pitfall Damian had dig with sharp sticks pointed upward at the bottom as the zombie fell and was impaled by the sticks a round of notifications appeared in his mind;

Before Damian could rejoice a warning sign appeared in his mind

Damian was confused with what he was seeing, he never saw anything like hunger in his status why now, but he couldn't think much due to the fact that the hunger was indeed unbearable so he immediately replied yes!!!
What happened next was something he would never forget, after he immediately said yes it was like he lost control of his body,
..His mouth opened wider than what a human should be able to do, it went all the way to his ear. What happened next was even more disturbing!!! As his mouth opened wider than usual he began eating the level 2 walker after bringing it out from the pitfall!
Even though he should have been disgusted, feel like puking or disoriented when eating the flesh of the zombie, he was not in fact he was enjoying it,
The taste was something he had never tasted before it even tasted better than a well-cooked steak served in famous restaurants!! After consuming the entire zombie a chime appeared in his mind;
