Close Call

As the zombie stepped into view, Damian saw it figure.. it was hulky in size ,its movement were slow each step shaking loose bits of decayed flesh, as he sized it was a level 3 walker;

He then proceeded to checking the status of the zombie Damian couldn't help but marvel ''what the heck is this creature'' first it slower than a normal walker but its strength is another thing on it own!!

The level 3 zombie turned it eye towards him , it movements even slower now , as if processing what had happened, it picked up a huge rock and fling it at a surprising speed towards me which immediately took a large chunk of my health

[-100]

Just that one attack had already halved my life, I was starting to panic it seemed what this zombie lacked in speed was made up with strength which is kind of frightening.

 As I was still shocked of the huge hit point the zombie I saw that it had already picked up another rock , without wasting time I dashed away from the sight of the huge creature and started running circle around its , sure this zombie might be stronger than me but it way slower compared to my speed.

That's how the game of hit-and-run began—As i chipped away at the zombie's health, little by little.

"The level 3 zombie roared in frustration, its movement growing more erratic. Damian grinned or as close a grin his rotten face could manage, he was getting under it skin, figuratively speaking, and the more it lost control the more predictable it became.

But then it happened, he miscalculated stepping a second to late, the zombie claw slashed across his chest which took another chunk of his life

[-55]

Now he was left with less than quarter of his health, even though his regeneration kicked in it was sluggish he couldn't afford to lose here, the level 3 zombie pressed on with it attack, lunging at him with both claws extended, Damian fell backward, narrowly avoiding the attack and scrambled to his feet, his mind raced, he needed a plan.

As his eyes darted around he found the jagged metal he dropped when he was attacked by the zombie the metal he had used against the level 2 zombie.

Using the same method he used on the level 2 he tried goading the zombie, the zombie lunged forward again simply to have lost all reasoning , as it draw close I sidestepped in the last second barely judging its again I plunged the metal right into skull .

Right afrer the metal pierces right through the skull you could see the brain matter and ooze sticking out, it was a terrible sight to behold.

I guess it due to its low defense I was able to pierce the skull Damian thought to himself

Just as I let my guard down I felt a fatal danger right at my neck , which made me jump to the side hurriedly , that when I figured the zombie isn't dead. yet even with my quick reaction I was still scrapped which took another chunk of my health bringing it down to a really dangerous level.

Now am left with around 9 HP left and the Zombie still has around quarter of it health;

Shit….i said to myself am already hungry I need to finish this fight fast I said to myself. As I resume back the game of hit and run, I realized this is the best strategy to take care of the zombie for now.

"As the zombie's final HP dropped to zero, its lifeless body collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud. I gasped for air, my body aching from the intense battle, but relief flooded through me—I had won''.

My body ached everywhere but it seems the worst part as come to an end then the familiar chime appeared....
