Chapter 9

Melody rushed to Levi's place overnight. Before she even entered, she heard Levi's laughter.

"Rylan's already dead, and Melody still thinks he's the one who drugged her back then. There's no way to prove it now, so once I seal the deal with her, she'll be mine."

"What's even funnier is that I've known Rylan was dead for a while. But talk about bad luck – he died on my birthday. Now every time I celebrate, it'll be Rylan's death anniversary too."

"I still have to play the sympathy card! Can't let Melody find out that car accident was on purpose. I've made quite a bit of money off that deadweight daughter of hers!"

Melody stood at the doorway, hearing everything crystal clear.

No wonder just drawing some blood wouldn't kill someone!

Melody withdrew her hand from knocking.

But the next day, she had a brand new plan.

I saw murder in Melody's eyes.
