Company Share

The idea of giving away company shares might not seem very important right now, but Adam knew the truth deep inside—this company had the power to grow into something massive.

Every time he looked at the faces around him, he saw the potential for greatness. Yet, he also understood that giving shares meant sharing control. It was a step he was not willing to take too lightly. Handing over even a small part of his authority was a big decision, especially when he had only met Mr. Kim the day before and barely knew the rest of the team.

Adam sat silently for a long moment, his mind filled with worries and possibilities. He remembered stories from his past, hints of a future where great empires were built on trust, sacrifice, and hard work. But with each story came a warning: no empire grew without a cost. The thought of losing control, even in part, made him hesitant. His heart pounded as he weighed the risks against the rewards.

Then, as if a spark ignited his inner resolve, an idea struck him like a flash of lightning.

'My dream isn't just to build a single company. I want to establish a strong presence in every industry, touching every corner of the market. To do that, I need skilled, dedicated people like you all are,' he thought.

Looking around the room, his eyes met those of each team member. The uncertainty in his face slowly gave way to determination. He stood up, his voice firm and calm.

"I understand your concerns," Adam said slowly, choosing his words with care so everyone could follow his meaning. "And I have a solution."

A hush fell over the room. Every pair of eyes turned to him, filled with anticipation. They waited, leaning in as if his next words would change everything.

Adam took a deep breath, letting the silence build the weight of his plan before he continued. "Instead of making Fire Corporation just an oil refinery company, we will turn it into a parent company." His voice was steady and sure, echoing his inner belief that this was the right path to take.

At this, Monica's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait… you mean Fire Corporation will be a holding company, and the oil refinery will be just one of its subsidiaries?" she asked, her tone mixing shock with excitement. It was a new idea—one that could change the way they all thought about the business.

Adam nodded. "Exactly," he replied. "This means I can't give you shares in Fire Corporation itself. But I can offer you shares in the refinery company that will operate under it. In this way, you all become partners in the part that will create real value, while I keep the final decision-making power in the overall company."

Monica exchanged a quick glance with Mr. Kim. Her eyes searched his face, seeking confirmation. Kim's expression was thoughtful, and he nodded almost imperceptibly. The idea was clear—each member would invest their time, skills, and belief into the refinery, and as that part grew, so would the value of their shares.

Lee, who had been listening intently, suddenly broke into a smile. He looked impressed by the clarity of Adam's proposal. His expression, filled with admiration, said more than words ever could. It was a brilliant move, one that allowed Adam to offer the team a share in the potential success without losing his overall control.

The others, though still quiet, showed signs of understanding. Their faces lit up with a mix of relief and cautious optimism. They were beginning to see the plan—a plan that offered them a chance to grow along with the company, yet ensured that Adam's vision would lead the way.

Monica rested both her hands on the table and looked straight at Adam. Her voice was steady and sincere as she spoke, "You may look like a kid sometimes, but this idea tells me you're destined for something great. I have no reason to refuse this offer. I accept." Her words came with an air of determination that reassured everyone that the decision was not made lightly.

Adam felt his heart swell with gratitude and relief. In that moment, he realized that his dream of building an empire was taking shape. He had found people who believed in the future as much as he did—even if they were taking a risk by accepting a lower salary now for the promise of shares later. This was more than a financial decision; it was a promise to work together as a team, united by a shared goal.

Monica's mind raced as she considered the meaning of the plan. To her, a parent company was not merely a business structure—it was a bold vision for something far greater than what anyone had seen before. It represented the chance to build an empire that spanned across many industries, creating a lasting mark on the future.

Excitement bubbled within her as she looked at Adam again, trying to see the full extent of his vision.

'At first, I thought you were just another rich kid throwing money around. But I was completely wrong,' she mused quietly. Her voice softened as she shared her true thoughts with herself. It was a promise of potential and possibility that made her want to take every chance offered.

As Monica's internal thoughts settled, the rest of the group began to exchange looks. Their eyes turned to Mr. Kim, silently urging him to speak up and share his opinion. Kim took a moment, then nodded with clear approval. "I'm in," he said, his voice filled with conviction. It was a simple statement, yet it carried the weight of his trust in Adam's plan.

One by one, the others started to show their agreement. Lee, who had been the first to smile, leaned forward and slammed his hand on the table with a grin. "Adam, I like you. Even if you weren't giving me shares, I'd still work with you," he declared, his words filled with genuine enthusiasm. That simple statement said it all—Lee saw the potential in the journey ahead and was determined not to let the opportunity slip away. 'I can't let this chance pass me by,' he thought firmly.

Then, almost in unison, Lisa and Raven, who had been watching everything carefully, exchanged a brief glance before speaking together, "We're in." Their calm voices joined the chorus of support, making it clear that the core team was ready to move forward with Adam's plan.

Adam looked at his team with a deep sense of satisfaction and responsibility. His eyes moved from one face to another, each expression telling a story of hope, risk, and a willingness to work hard. His voice softened, filled with quiet determination as he addressed them all.
