Chapter 6: " Emperor Dao Fruit"

As Gu Dao lay in the depths of sleep, he found himself once again submerged in the same endless Void.

Yet this time, it was more intense, more terrifying than before, unfolding in a way that made his heart race with an icy dread.

A violent, chaotic battle raged before him—four monstrous beings clashed against a lone white figure.

The struggle before him was incomprehensible, their motives unclear.

And yet, just as before, he was frozen, unable to move, paralyzed by an unseen force, his eyes locked upon the unfolding horror.

Amidst the chaos, the shadowy black creatures fought with terrifying ferocity, their dark forms swirling around the white figure.

The energy they released tore the space apart , shattering the void itself, sending shockwaves through the universe.

Reality itself seemed to warp under their blows, distorting and splintering in impossible ways.

The white figure, despite taking countless blows and exploding into blood mist over and over, would inexplicably regenerate, reborn in the blink of an eye.

But the relentless assault continued, with the four dark creatures striking coldly one after another, showing no mercy. The scene unfolded like a cruel cycle, as if the battle would never end.

One of the black creatures snorted coldly. "You will eventually fall."

"Your struggle is only in vain, and it will eventually become another corpse here " said another one.

Another creature, its form writhing with shadows, hissed coldly, "No matter how you resist, your fate is sealed. You will be reduced to nothing."

The final creature, its eyes burning with an ancient malice, spoke with a tone that filled with contempt. " Since you don't know how to live or die, then don't blame us for being ruthless.

The white figure, his face obscured, responded coldly, "And one or two of you will definitely fall with me."

As soon as the Voice fell. In front of Gu Dao. he witnessed something that filled him with terror.

The five beings instantly erupted with unimaginable radiance, unleashing the full power of their realms.

Endless Dao runes condensed into dharma seals, manifesting one after another, each brimming with boundless might. In the blink of an eye, they clashed, their blows tearing Apart the space across Endless distance.

The power of each collision is enough to annihilate the world, and hundreds of billions of living beings are gone!

their blows collided with each other, in instant they derived infinite dharma body avatars, stepping on every corner of the universe.

Their battle was ruthless. Each clash transcended the flow of time—sometimes appearing to stretch across thousands of years, sometimes reversing time itself as if reality bent under their will.

Wherever their fists swept, countless new worlds were born, only to be destroyed in the next instant.

Their incarnations continued to fight within these newly formed realms, each world shrouded in endless chaos.

The birth and death of worlds, the reversal of time and space—everything unfolded billions of times in an instant.

Gu Dao could barely comprehend what he was witnessing. His mind struggled to grasp the magnitude of their power.

Time passed in an unfathomable blur as their battle raged on, shifting from one battlefield to another, from the endless void to the farthest reaches of the ever-expanding universe.

Gu Dao could no longer make out their figures—only streaks of blinding colors flashing across the boundless Void.

Until—

Boom!

At the very edge of the universe, a cataclysmic explosion erupted. The shockwave devoured everything in its path. And Gu Dao was Also swept away.

...

He awoke with a jolt, gasping for breath, drenched in sweat. His heart raced, and the images of the battle replayed in his mind like a nightmare.

With shaky legs, he made his way to the bathroom, trying to wash away the lingering fear.

Under the warm water, Gu Dao closed his eyes, letting the water wash away the lingering fear, focusing on the simple act of cleaning himself, one moment at a time.

As the warm water cascaded over him, Gu Dao's mind suddenly went numb, his consciousness wavering like a candle flame in the wind.

And then, as if summoned by some force, a vision unfolded before his eyes—a vision so profound that it threatened to shatter his sanity.

In the boundless depths of his mind, a golden elixir appeared. It was not simply gold; it was the purest, most immaculate form of the divine, resembling the immortal gold that could withstand the ravages of time.

Hanging high above like a celestial body, it emanated an aura of imperial majesty and eternal grandeur.

Immortal. Indestructible. Eternal.

Gu Dao's gaze pierced through the surface of the golden elixir. Within it, strange and unimaginable phenomena unfolded.

The world itself seemed to revolve around the elixir in a never-ending dance.

The endless cycle of yin and yang twisted and coiled in a celestial harmony, as countless worlds were born and destroyed, rising and falling in an eternal rhythm.

Time itself was but a fleeting moment in the face of such infinite power.

What is this thing? Is this some kind of Golden Finger, like those in the novels?

Suddenly, knowledge surged into his mind, answering the unspoken question. He understood the cause and effect of the situation.

This was his Dao Fruit from his previous life. Apparently, before he fell, he had attempted a forbidden skill in hopes of rebirth, but ultimately failed.

What remained of him was only this Dao Emperor Fruit.

"So that's how it is… that white figure was really me…"

Gu Dao muttered to himself, his voice trembling as the realization struck him.

Such terrifying existences… and yet, they still fell

But then… what is the meaning of this Dao Fruit now?

Soon, the answer came, but Gu Dao couldn't find any joy in it.

If he were to accept the Dao Fruit, he would also inherit the karma of his past life.

This meant he would be forced to face those terrifying black creatures from his dream, no matter how much he dreaded it.

Even if he tried to avoid it, destiny had already set its course—he was bound to confront them.

"The Emperor Dao Fruit can only make me immortal, but it can't make me Invincible. I may still be injured, poisoned, or killed."

Immortality was one thing, but invincibility was another. With no cultivation, no power to defend himself, what good was immortality?

The Dao Fruit held profound power, but for Gu Dao, it was an unreachable ideal. He was trapped in a world without spiritual energy, powerless to use it.

There was, however, a hidden ember within the Dao Fruit—a chance to traverse time and space to a world of immortals. But it was a gamble. He would face dangers and uncertainty, stepping into a world unknown.

Should he take the risk and venture into this dangerous new world? Or remain in the safety of his current life, away from the horrors he knew awaited him?

Everyone dreams of immortality—soaring through the skies, burrowing beneath the earth, shattering mountains, and commanding the seas.

Gu Dao's heart was torn. He feared death, but the choice was his to make.

With a sigh, he stepped out of the bathroom, lost in thought, the weight of his decision heavy on his shoulders.
