Chapter 19: " Falling Star World, Taiyi Domain"

Gu Dao soon saw a small book titled The Common Sense of the Cultivation World, priced at 10 low-grade spiritual stones.

He hesitated for a moment, then purchased the book.

Afterward, he looked at the other techniques and spells but didn't buy any. He couldn't afford to waste spirit stones for now.

He then turned his attention to the projector showing the location of the pills and headed there.

Soon, he arrived and found dozens of pills for various purposes.

There were first-grade pills for the Qi Training realm, such as the Foundation Strengthening Spirit, Purification Pill, Qi Condensation Pill, Healing Pill, Spirit Cleansing Pill, Poison Detoxification Pill... endless varieties.

There was even a Foundation Building Pill for breakthroughs and other second-grade pills as well.

Gu Dao was amazed. In cultivation novels, Foundation Building Pills were often only found at auctions, where obtaining one meant fighting a bloody battle to protect it, with danger lurking from all sides.

He sighed and looked away, searching for pills he could use.

Soon, he found a low-grade pill called the Qi Condensation Pill, priced at 8 spirit stones per pill.

He gritted his teeth and purchased a bottle, throwing eighty spirit stones into the Array.

The Array flashed, and a bottle appeared in front of him. He quickly took it, opened it, and inhaled the powerful fragrance. The concentrated medicine intoxicated him.

He closed the bottle and glanced at the other items, wishing he could have them all.

Reluctantly, he looked away and headed in the direction where the clothes were located, as indicated by the projector.

Soon, he arrived and looked around. As expected, there was an endless variety of clothes.

After a moment, he chose a white robe with a small defense formation etched into it, capable of withstanding a full blow from a third-level Qi Training cultivator.

It also had a cleaning spell, keeping it spotless at all times.

He threw another 80 spirit stones into the Array and discarded his mortal clothes, replacing them with the new robe.

Gu Dao pulled at the fabric of the robe, the smooth, cool material sliding through his fingers.

The faint glimmer of a defensive formation flashed on the surface as he adjusted the collar.

He looked into a nearby reflective surface and allowed himself a rare moment of satisfaction, One word: handsome.

Next, he purchased a first-grade middle-tier Flame Explosion Talisman for 20 spirit stones and a few Restriction Talismans, priced at 5 spirit stones each.

The talismans were for self-defense. Who knows if some bandits or casual cultivators might want to harm me?

With the Restriction Talisman, I can restrain them, and then blast them to pieces with the Explosive Talisman.

This talisman can deliver a blow no less than a full blow from a Sixth Level Qi Training cultivator.

As for high-level cultivators coming after me, I don't think they'll bother with a poor bastard like me.

I'm penniless and have nothing to my name—except, maybe, my handsome face... though that's probably as common as dirt in this world.

Unless I fall into the hands of some pervert, in which case, I can only blame my bad luck and... maybe even commit suicide to preserve my dignity.

Males must protect their innocence these days, so it's better to be careful...

Finally, Gu Dao stepped out of the pavilion, his pockets feeling strangely light. The crisp air of the town felt different now—distant, almost mocking.

Gu Dao gazed sadly at the sky as he walked out of town, knowing he had nowhere to stay.

Soon, he left the town.

With the town fading behind him, Gu Dao began the long trek into the wilderness.

The scent of fresh soil mixed with the sharp tang of pine trees as the cool evening air wrapped around him like a blanket.

He could hear the distant rustle of leaves stirred by a soft wind, the only sound in the otherwise still landscape.

After traveling through the mountains and rivers, covering dozens of miles he Finally found a secluded cave in a desolate mountain.

He looked around to make sure no one was nearby before entering the cave.

It was small, so he began constructing his own living space.

Gathering his energy in his hand, he punched the walls ahead, carving out rooms and such.

By midnight, he had finished his construction.

He looked at the simple cave and sighed. "I should learn some simple spells for construction purposes, like the Earth Shaping Spell, Roof Mending Spell, Wood Plank Refinement Spell... etc.

Although They're useless in combat, but they can be helpful in situations like this."

He shook his head, getting rid of the distracting thoughts, and sat down in his simple 'room' in the cave.

...

In the cave, Gu Dao returned and sat cross-legged again, holding the book The Common Sense of the Cultivation World that he had spent ten spirit stones for, and flipping through it carefully.

The world he was in now was a small world called Falling Star World.

Gu Dao was located in a huge continent in this world ruled by humans called Starfall Continent.

It had an irregular shape, somewhat triangular but with a broad northern section that tapered down toward the south.

Starfall Continent was vast, stretching for hundreds of millions of miles, seemingly endless.

There were also other continents, and the world was home to various races, not just humans.

Currently, Gu Dao was in the southeastern part of Starfall Continent, in a region known as Taiyi Domain, one of the hundreds of domains on the continent.

Taiyi Domain was a powerful region spanning roughly a million miles, ruled by the Taiyi Sect, a formidable Nascent Soul-level sect.

To the north of Taiyi Domain, the land transitioned into the Desolate Beast Lands.

a dangerous wilderness filled with countless violent beasts—where Gu Dao had first arrived in this world.

Gu Dao was sweating when he saw the Desolate Beast Lands. Fortunately, I didn't land deep inside... just at the edge of the forest.

If I had gone just a little deeper, I wouldn't be here today.

To the south lay a vast sea dotted with numerous small islands, all under the rule of Taiyi Sect.

There was a giant Immortal City, serving as a crucial trade hub between Taiyi Domain and various sea-dwelling races.

Gu Dao looked thoughtful. "I should visit this place in the future—it seems interesting."

As he continued reading, within the domain, several influential sects coexisted, including the Qinglan Sect—where Gu Dao was currently located.

The Pure Sword Sect, which specialized in sword cultivation.

The Jade Blossom Sect, likely focused on duel-based techniques.

Nine Heavens Pill Sect, specially on alchemy.

Also, there were numerous Foundation Building and Golden Core families, each wielding their own influence in Taiyi Domain and Endless Mortal Kingdoms. All were vassals of the Taiyi Sect.

It seemed that in this domain, the Taiyi Sect functioned like an empire, with its various small kingdoms and ministries under its control, Gu Dao thought to himself.

The Qinglan Sect alone spanned an area of tens of thousands of miles.

He was now in Puchan Town, within the Qinglan Sect's territory.

It lay east of Qinglan Sect's headquarters, making travel between them relatively straightforward.

Surrounding Puchan Town were Kinzo Town, Moon Town, and Lotus Town.

All were under one of the four immortal cities of Qinglan, Azure Cloud City, positioned slightly to the southwest.

To the south, beyond the marked towns and settlements, lay the distant sea.

Meanwhile, the Desolate Beast Lands were located to the north or northeast of Puchan Town, indicating that traveling in that direction would lead into dangerous, beast-infested territory.

To the northwest of Qinglan Sect, there were other immortal sects like Qinglan Sect, such as the Pure Sword Sect...

Gu Dao was shocked. Just this continent alone could hold countless Earth-sized planets, filling its vast expanse.

And that was without considering the other continents and the sea—named the Endless Sea.

Yet, this was merely a small world. Then what of the Middle World or the Great World?

Perhaps the distances between cities or domains in those realms could only be measured in light-years.

Gu Dao let out a soft laugh and shook his head. Given his current strength, it would take him years just to leave the Qinglan Sect's territory—let alone travel beyond the Taiyi Domain and venture into the vastness of space...

He took a deep breath to calm himself.

Then, without hesitation, he tossed the book aside.

Out of sight, out of mind...

....

Quiet room.

Gu Dao sat cross-legged in the room running his skill to absorb the little spiritual energy in the air, then With a flip of his hand, a bottle of Qi Condensation Pills appeared in his hand which he purchased earlier.

When he opened the bottle cap, a strong medicinal fragrance instantly spread.

Just smelling it, Gu Dao felt refreshed.

He raised his head and swallowed one pill.

Boom!

The pill melted in his stomach, sending a fiery surge of spiritual energy rushing through his meridians.

His limbs trembled as his dantian absorbed the essence, refining it under the pull of the Chaos Sutra.
