The Tipping Point 2

The Black Moon Sect's stronghold reeked of blood and desperation.

Wu-Jin's paranoia had driven him to madness. He had ordered the capture of deserters' families, bringing them to the grand hall to set an example. Bound, kneeling, their eyes filled with terror, they awaited their fate.

Wu-Jin stood at the center, sword drawn, his expression twisted in something between rage and amusement.

Jin Tae-Hyun, hidden in the shadows above, observed the scene with cold detachment.

"This is it," he murmured to himself. The final cracks before the collapse.

The Execution Begins

Wu-Jin raised his blade, pointing it at a trembling woman.

"Your husband fled my sect," he sneered. "Tell me, where did he go?"

Tears streaked her face. "I—I don't know!"

Wu-Jin clicked his tongue. "A shame."

The sword flashed.

A sharp cry echoed as her arm fell to the ground. Blood pooled beneath her as she screamed in agony.

The room went deathly silent.

Jin Tae-Hyun narrowed his eyes. Brutal. But expected.

The other prisoners shrank back, realizing there was no escape. Wu-Jin would slaughter them all, one by one.

Unless…

Jin's First Strike

A gust of wind blew through the hall. The torches flickered.

And then—

Darkness.

The flames were extinguished all at once, plunging the chamber into blackness.

Shouts of confusion erupted. The guards scrambled, drawing their weapons.

That's when the first body dropped.

A gurgled scream. The sound of a blade piercing flesh.

By the time the torches were relit, three guards lay dead, their throats slit.

Wu-Jin's eyes darted around the room. Who? Who dared?

Jin Tae-Hyun's voice echoed from the shadows.

"A sect built on fear… will always collapse under fear."

Wu-Jin's Breaking Point

Wu-Jin's breathing grew ragged. "SHOW YOURSELF, COWARD!"

Silence.

And then—

A dagger flew from the dark. It embedded itself inches from Wu-Jin's feet.

A piece of parchment was wrapped around the handle.

Wu-Jin snatched it, unraveling the message. His hands trembled as he read the words.

"You've already lost."

The grand doors slammed shut.

From outside, the sounds of chaos erupted.

Jin had planned everything. The guards stationed outside? Dead. The gates? Open. The deserters and rebels? Ready to strike.

Tonight, the Black Moon Sect would drown in its own blood.

The Cliffhanger

Wu-Jin clenched his fists, rage burning hotter than ever.

But something else lurked beneath it.

For the first time in his life…

He felt fear.

And Jin Tae-Hyun, hidden in the shadows, grinned.

"Let's see how long you last."
