The Beginning Of The End

The air was thick with the stench of blood and burning wood. The once-mighty Black Moon Sect was in ruins.

Jin Tae-Hyun stood atop a mound of corpses, his dark robes barely touched by the carnage around him. His plan was unfolding perfectly.

Wu-Jin, the so-called tyrant, was now nothing more than a desperate man clinging to a crumbling empire. But Jin wasn't satisfied yet. No, this was just the beginning of Wu-Jin's suffering.

Wu-Jin's breath was ragged, his fingers twitching around the hilt of his sword. His men were dying like flies.

"You…" he snarled, his eyes locked on Jin Tae-Hyun.

Jin tilted his head, mocking amusement in his eyes. "Me? What about me?"

Wu-Jin's rage boiled over. With a roar, he lunged, his blade flashing like lightning.

Jin dodged effortlessly, stepping back just enough to let Wu-Jin's blade pass inches from his chest.

"Tsk. You're getting slow, Sect Leader. Maybe you're not as strong as the legends say," Jin taunted.

Wu-Jin's veins bulged. "I'll rip you apart, you bastard!"

Jin laughed. "Try it."

The battle outside continued. The stronghold's walls crumbled as traitors and rebels flooded in.

Screams of dying Black Moon Sect disciples filled the night. The scent of ash and iron mixed in the air.

Jin had given the deserters exactly what they needed—a spark to ignite their revenge.

Now, the flames would consume everything.

Jin knew Wu-Jin was strong. Too strong to take head-on. Not yet.

So he did what he did best.

He disappeared into the shadows, leaving Wu-Jin swinging at thin air.

"Stop running!" Wu-Jin bellowed, his voice cracking.

But Jin wasn't running.

He was waiting.

Waiting for the moment Wu-Jin would realize—

He had already lost.

As the fires raged and the Black Moon Sect fell, Wu-Jin stood in the ruins, his shoulders rising and falling with heavy breaths.

Then, a whisper echoed behind him.

"Do you hear that, Sect Leader?"

Wu-Jin turned sharply—

But there was no one there.

And then he realized—

The screams had stopped.

The Black Moon Sect… was silent.
