Chapter 1 - To the Capital

'Chao chao, master taught you everything he knows and now you should go out and learn through experiences, i know Wuji Mountain is your home but if you want to grow in the future you should learn through real life experiences.' said Master Li while gently rubbing the head of little Yong Chao who just turned twelve recently.

'I know master.' although Yong Chao had no friends or relatives in the Capital ciry but to fullfill her masters wisehs she accepted his request to learn the affairs of the mundane world.

Yong Chao was a genius to begin with and infact Master Li had a faint premonition that this little genius sponge has already soaked all the knowlege he could offer and now he had nothing to teach her, thinking about this his lips twitched slightly. He would have never though the kid found by few of his senior disciple will turn out to be such a little genius amongst all his disciples.

'Remeber to write to master whenever you have time and dont forget our little wuji mountain and your idenetity in the illusiuon of the mundane world, remeber little Chao the world is not what it always appears to be sometimes what appears to the eye is not always true, kindness can be faked what appears gold might not actually be good what looks like scrape might be a treasure, always use your intellect, heart and intuition to analyse people and situation and always remeber be kind but never let anybody bully you, if someone respects you respect them back, dont go to places you are not respected ot invited and always repay the karma.'

Yong Chao was small but her brain understood what her master was trying to convey hence she nodded her little head in approval,"En, master Chao chao understands amd will keep masters words in heart all the time."

Mater Li was satisfied with Yong Chao's response, it was just that due to the very young age of his disicple he was worried.

Master has already contacted your senior brothers and sister, if you face any trouble in the future contact them and they will come to you immediately,' this was the order he has given to all his disciple, Yong Chao was his last and most loved disciple he wished that she could live a peaceful life in the future.'

The thought of meeting her senior brothers and sisters made Yong Chao very happy and she nodded happily.

Lastly Master Li gave her a hand written letter as well as a box,'This letter and gift you ust keep safe and once you reach the capital go to the Gu family of Capital city and present this letter Old lady Gu Shufen of the Gu family tell her it was me who sent the letter and the medicine she will take care of you in the future on behalf of the master.'

What to say, Master Li was very reluctant to part with this little disciple of his but he had no other choice, this disciple was meant to do great things in life and hence he cannot tie her up on this little Wu mountain forever.

--

Yong Chao reached the capital city through train, she had very few luggage with her, just a small trunk with two sets of clothes and the things her master and senior brothers and sister gave her and her books.

She hailed a taxi and gave the address told by her master to the driver, within one hour the taxi came to a stop in front of large brass doors, the plaque on the wall read Gu mansion after confirming the address Yong Chao exited the taxi and rang the bell.

The intercome buzzed and the voice of steward came out,' Who is it, state your purpose for visit.'

Yong Chao looked at the intercome and her sharp eye easily saw a tiny miniscule hole above it, she directly looked at it and spoke,'Yong Chao 12th Disciple of Master Li seeking audience with Gu Furen on behalf of my master, please convey the message.' her voice was neither hurried nor slow, neither dominnering nor nervouse but like a breeze serene and peaceful.

When Steward Lan looked at the camera he was shocked what he saw was a little gorl of over 11 years asking for and audience, it can be seen that her temprament was so nobel and the way she spoke was much more better than other peers her age.

"Okay, please wait a minute." the steward spoke with respect, althought intitally he would have dismissed the little girl due to her age but when he saw the steadfastness in her voice he found that he will have to report this to the old lady.

Gu Shufen was currently reading the work progress made by her grandson Gu Mengfeng in hios overseas investment, when the steward relayed her the news.

"Who did you say is seeking audience with me?" she asked tentatively."

"The kid calls itself Yong Chao disciple of Master Li." repeated the steward.

hearing so, Gu shufen quickely stood up from her chair and ordred the steward,"Quickelt, invite the disciple of Master Li inside the manor i will come out in a minute."

Yong Chao who was waiting outside the huge brass doors was quickly invited in by the steward and was made to sit on a comfortable chair with tea and refreshments of various sorts in front of her.

Yong Chao was really hungry and she respectfully took a mandarian pastry and tea to quench her thirst.

When Gu Shufen came inside the guest room, she saw a little girl, eating the mandarian pastries happily while her cheeks were bulging with food, looking all cute and mushy, her old eyes suddenly shone with stars in them,'Ahhh so cute, this little girl is like a cute little bodhisatava.'

When Yong Chao saw Old lady Gu coming, she stood up and bowed respectfully,"Old Lady Gu."

"Sit sit child you must be the little disciple of Master Li mentioned by steward Lan just now?" spoke lady Gu.

"It should be me old madam." said Yong Chao.

"Kid, you came along all the way from your master adobe." Gu Old lady was confused such a little kid and Wuji mountain master sent her all alone to the Capital City.

"Yes Madam Gu." spoke Yong Chao while taking out the gift box and the letter her mster wrote and presenting it to old lady Gu.

"My master asked me to give you this letter as well as the gift." after accepting the letter Old Lady Gu tore open the envelope and two letters popped out of it.

While reading the letter old lady Gu was shocked and now and again looked at Yong Chao with shocled filled eyes.

Meanwhile Yong Chao who was subject of scrutiny, went back to finishing the snacks ones her work of delivering the letter and the gift was complete.

Old Lady Gu took out another letter and read it, the content of the letter made her really happy and next she opened the box, ones the box was opened a very refreshing medicinal frgnaces ivaded the roon making ones mind and body calm.

She immediately closed the jade box in fear that the medicinal effects of the elixir will be eroded due to the air and spoke to Yong Chao.

"Little Chao i cant thank you and your master enough for bringing these revitalizing elixir to the Gu family, kid if you need any help in the future feel free to come to the Gu manor whenever you have time."

"As for your living arrangents, Grandma Gu would like you to stay here with me so that you dont have to worry about living arrangements in the future." spoke Grandma Gu this was still a little kid afterall, not an adult and needed a guardian to support and protect in the future, she cannot imagine such a little delicate girl living on her own in Capital City!
