Chapter 3- Her Parents

"Everyone, this little kid from now on is a member of our Gu family so everyone must treat her with love and respect." said Old Madam Gu in her authoritative voice so that everyone can understand her meaning clearly.

"A member of our family?" said Tang Shi almost instinctively,'oh no she really is the member of Gu family? whose blood is she?'

almost everyone had the same question in their head but the next second Yong Chao got up and officially introduced herself.

"Hello everyone, I am Yong Chao i came from Wuji mountain to study here in the Capital as per my master's orders."

After giving her introduction she sat down, well it was a good introduction which satisfied old Madam Gu,'Such an eloquent and obedient child.'

However this piece of information was not enough to clear the doubts of people sitting around the table hence building up his courage Gu Wen asked clearly,"This little Kid where are your parents whose child are you?"

Everyone had the same question except for old madam Gu who already knew Yong Chao was an orphan and hearing her son ask such question she was so angry that she wished she could throw this idiot son of hers out of the house.

"You...you...how can you ask this child such a question? Have you no conscience?" spoke Grandma Gu angrily.

'No conscience... why is mother saying that...is it this kid is Gu Wen's daughter? That's why mother questioned his conscience.' the mind of people around the table buzzed.

Even Gu Chen kept his phone and looked at his father incredulously,'His father...pah shameless...shameless, now he even game them a step sister!'

'Brother Gu tsk tsk really destroyed the name of our Gu family.' sighed Bai Lu in heart.

Meanwhile Gu Luo was looking back and forth between Gu Wen and Yong Chao, trying to find similarities between the two, from whichever angle he looked he found that the child was way much better looking then his uncle who had thick eyebrows and he definitely doesn't have the vanity to reproduce such a pretty child...unless the child's mother is a beauty.' after thinking about it he sighed and looked at his aunt Tang Shi 'Tsk tsk poor aunt it seems she will have to compete with a beautiful women soon.'

Seeing the acquisition in the eyes of people around him who were looking at him with mix of disappointment and disgust, Gu Wen was left speechless, even his brother was looking with disgust at him as if he was a dirty street rat. 

"Father how can you."

"Gu Wen you scoundrel...how can you do this." spoke Gu Meng and Tang Shi at the same time while the latter broke down into tears.

"What did i do wrong, Tang Shi why are you crying don't cry." said Gu Wen not knowing what wrong did he commit he just asked the child who's child is she that's it.

"Now you are asking? you have the guts." said Tang Shi in between her sobs.

Seeing Tang Shi cry so bitterly Bai Lu felt sympathy for her,' Alas men are really such a disappointment, poor Tang Shi.'

"Here Tang Shi drink some water, everything will be fine, don't be like this." said Bai Lu while offering Tang Shi some consolation.

Looking at the family around her which was acting weird and crazy around her making her lose her face in front of her an important guest black lines speared on Old Madam Gu's forehead and she rubbed her temple as if having and headache.

'To think none of them came behave appropriately that too on front of a child is a disgrace for her Gu family...what a bunch of idiots.'

Meanwhile she looked at Yong Chao who was calm and composed not a single expression on her face sitting properly and sighed in her heart ,'even a little kid is better than these bunch of trash she raised.'

 Yong Chao knew that Old lady Gu was considering her feeling but she still answered the question asked by Gu Wen,"Mr. Gu, i don't have any parents, i was raised by my master and senior brothers and sisters on Wujin Mountain." just as Yong Chao said so an eerie silence descended on the dining table.

After saying her piece, Yong Chao started digging in her food, which the servants have already served, anyway she was starved.

But this scene fell differently in the eyes of the Gu family member, looking at the small girl who was barely twelve years old who was quietly eating her food with lowered head they thought the child is said because she doesn't have any parents and now she doesn't even have her master by her side and is alone in this capital city.

'Gu Wen is truly heartless to ask a child such question.' again before Gu Wen could apologies he was stared at with those disgusting eyes of his family members this time including his mother whose eyes were literally spewing fire as if she will eat him alive, even Tang Shi was glaring at him.

"Now are you satisfied Gu Wen? A good son i have raised asking an orphan girl about her parentage have you no shame?" Old lady Gu spoke angrily.

The other people at the table fully agreed with Old madam Gu as if asserting Gu Wen as a heartless person.

Gu Wen...' He should have not come home today... he should have listened to his friend intact he should have checked his almanac before coming home.'

"Old Madam Gu, its alright Mr. Gu didn't know it was unintentional, please don't be angry." spoke Yong Chao in a timely manner.

'Ahhh this child, how sensible she is at a young age... and look at these troublemakers at her house one after other they are all a headache.'

"Little sister Chao. who said you don't have any parents from now on i am your elder brother okay and my parents are your parents, okay." Gu Luo spoke suddenly he could not see the little kid explaining for her uncle, she is but a child however she is more sensible then them adults.

"Yes yes chao chao, an don't call me old madam you can call me Grandma Gu and these are your uncle and aunts." said old lady Gu.

The people around the table nodded even Gu Meng nodded and said," Chao Chao i am your elder sister okay don't be sad."

"By the way you said you came here to study which school will you go to? asked Gu Meng who was in senior High school.

"To Beijing High School." spoke Yong Chao.

"Ohh, i see, Chao Chao i also go there, if you face any issues in your class or if someone bullies you come to big sister, i am in class 10 of third year and also a senior no junior will bully you in front of me." said Gu Meng.

"I will listen to sister meng then." while saying so Yong Chao gave acute little smile to Gu Meng almost melting her heart to mush.

'ahhh so cuteee....she has a little sister now, she cant wait to show those idiots in her class that her lil sister is also in the same school and she is so cute and she has green eye.' suddenly Gu Meng felt very happy even forgetting that five minutes before she was thinking her father cheated on her mother and had an illegitimate daughter outside of the marriage.

Now the environment at the lunch table was almost harmonious after completing the lunch Chao Chao asked to leave.

The whole Gu family vehemently opposed this idea.

"This child you are so young how can you live alone, stay with aunt okay, i will prepare a room for you, this is your own house." spoke Bai Lu.

"Yes yes how can aunt let you live alone." spoke Tang Shi now when she looked at Yong Chao's appearance she was truly mesmerized, 'such a cute little child how can she let her go.'
