House Arrest

Ji Aier was placed under house arrest by Ji En. She couldn't get up at all the next day, as if all the bones in her body were about to fall apart. She just stayed in bed for a whole day. The only thing that made her feel warm was this bed. It was so comfortable that she felt like she was enjoying a SPA.

"Get up!" Ji En, who had come back at some unknown time, pulled Ji Aier up abruptly. She didn't even have time to put on her clothes.

"I didn't expect your figure to be much better than before!" Ji En said lewdly in Ji Aier's ear. She immediately felt her face burning hot.

"Think whatever you want," Ji Aier said. She began to revert to the old habit of serving Ji En. She absolutely couldn't say no to him, otherwise, she would have to bear the pain he inflicted on her double. Last night, she had said too many noes to Ji En, which was why he made her stay in bed and unable to get up all day today. Ji Aier casually grabbed one of his shirts and put it on.

"This is more like my Aier," Ji En said as he stroked Ji Aier's face. For a moment, Ji Aier had the illusion that he could still be gentle. "You have ten minutes to come downstairs and have dinner with me."

Ten minutes! Brushing teeth, washing face, combing hair, and getting dressed. Did he think she was Ultraman? But Ji Aier still went into the bathroom without any objection because Ji En wouldn't extend the time for her. Her objection would undoubtedly be a waste of her own time. She believed that with his current character, he wouldn't mind dragging her downstairs without getting herself sorted out.

Ji Aier walked out of the dressing room at the last second. Ji En seemed very satisfied and actually showed a faint smile on his face.

Ji Aier followed Ji En downstairs, and all she could think about was how to escape.

"Don't even think about slipping away from me again. Otherwise, I'll make sure that everyone around you suffers because of you," Ji En said to Ji Aier, as if he could see what was in her mind.

Ji Aier looked up at him and said nothing more. She had to come up with a way, otherwise, she wouldn't be able to pick up Minze and Qianhe from school the day after tomorrow.

The Ji family really hadn't changed at all. Every place was spotless, and all the furnishings were placed in their proper positions as usual. In the past, she often stood in front of them and wiped them on weekends.

Ji Aier suddenly thought of the cactus on the balcony of her room. She guessed that it had been thrown into the trash can seven years ago. It was her only friend at that time.

Looking at the dining table, she remembered that Ji En used to sit in the same position every time, and then she would sit on his left. He wouldn't allow her to sit opposite him, saying that looking at her, an ugly girl, would spoil his appetite. So she had always sat on his left.

"We're having vegetarian dishes for dinner tonight!" Ji En said.

Ji Aier was surprised because Ji En hated eating vegetables the most. In the past, she liked eating vegetables, but he forced her to eat meat, saying that he didn't want to have an Ethiopian refugee following him around. And today, he actually said they were having vegetarian dishes for dinner. But Ji Aier was smart enough to keep her mouth shut and choose to be silent.
