"Sister-in-law, it's time for dinner!" Enrico actually said to Ji Aier, who had just brought the soup in.
Ji Aier, who was addressed like this by Enrico, almost spilled the soup on the ground. Fortunately, she managed to steady herself in the end, and only a little bit of the soup spilled out.
"Is your hand okay?" Raymond glared at Enrico and then asked Ji Aier. Just now, he saw that Ji Aier's hand had been scalded by the spilled soup.
"It's okay! You guys start eating first," Ji Aier put the soup bowl down and then went into the kitchen. She put her hand under the faucet and rinsed it.
"Enrico just likes to have fun. He didn't do it on purpose," Raymond said standing at the kitchen door.
"I know. I'm fine," Ji Aier quickly hid her hand behind her back and said as if nothing had happened.
"Let me see your hand," Raymond said as he walked over when he saw Ji Aier's action.
"No, it's really okay," Ji Aier shook her head and said. "Hurry up and go eat. The food will taste bad when it gets cold."
Raymond didn't listen to her. He just reached out and pulled the hand she had hidden behind her back in front of him. He looked at her originally fair skin, which now had a large red blister on it, and his heart ached.
"I'll put some burn ointment on it for you," Raymond pulled Ji Aier out of the kitchen.
Ji Aier turned her head and saw Enrico sticking out his tongue and showing an apologetic expression. She waved her hand to indicate to him that she was okay.
Ji Aier watched as Raymond carefully applied the ointment, being afraid of hurting her again. She suddenly felt very touched. No one had ever been this kind to her before.
"Does it still hurt?" Raymond looked up and asked.
Ji Aier shook her head. This kind of pain could never compare to the pain in her heart.
"You're really a brave girl," Raymond said as he stroked Ji Aier's delicate face.
"Let's go and eat quickly. Enrico is getting impatient," Ji Aier avoided Raymond's affectionate gaze and stood up and said.
"Sister-in-law, are you okay?" Enrico asked apologetically.
"It's just a small blister. It will be okay tomorrow," Ji Aier said with a faint smile. "Enrico, could you just call me Siwei from now on?"
Ji Aier burned her right hand, so she had to switch to using her left hand to eat. Because it was not as flexible, she could only choose to use a spoon. This reminded her of the scene when Ji En was injured before and still insisted on picking noodles for her. But that kind of beauty was gone forever. Some things, once they passed, became a thing of the past.
After dinner, Ji Aier sat on the balcony, feeling the wind.
"I'm really sorry today," Enrico sat down beside Ji Aier and apologized again.
"You really don't have to feel guilty. It's nothing," Ji Aier looked at Enrico and said. This man reminded her of a celebrity. Because he had a handsome face that could easily captivate young girls' hearts. He and Raymond were of two different types. Raymond had the kind of beautiful features typical of a mixed-race person.
"My elder brother cares about you a lot," Enrico said to Ji Aier.
"He's nice to everyone," Ji Aier looked at the stars in the distance and said. She didn't know which star was her Qianhe.
"He's never been like this to a girl before," Enrico said, and this was the truth. He treated Ji Aier very specially.
"Actually, I'm not as wonderful as you think," This was Ji Aier's summary of herself.
"As long as my elder brother thinks you're perfect, then you're a goddess. What other people think doesn't matter,"
"Did you come here to help your elder brother find his sister?" Ji Aier changed the topic.
"No! I sneaked out to get some fresh air. I'm really tired of going to the company for meetings and listening to reports every day! So I left a mess for my elder brother to clean up when he goes back," Enrico said. It was as if he was talking about something very ordinary. The family business had nothing to do with him. He still lived in his own world, advocating freedom and nature, because he was a fashion designer!
"You two brothers have very different personalities?" Except for those same green eyes like emeralds, she thought their personalities were worlds apart.
"Yeah! I grew up under his protection since I was a child, so now I've become a good-for-nothing, and it has a lot to do with my elder brother," Enrico said and then burst into laughter. It was obvious that the relationship between the two brothers was very good, even though they were half-brothers.
