After having lunch, Ji En actually took Ji Aier and Ji Minze to the amusement park. Ji Minze's face was red with excitement! No matter how sensible he was or how high his emotional intelligence was, he was still a child at heart, with the nature of a child.
It was already a bit late when they got back to the Ji family's residence.
Ji Aier accompanied Minze until he fell asleep contentedly. She tucked him in, kissed his forehead, and then gently walked out of his room and closed the door.
Suddenly, she found it ridiculous to think about where she should go next.
Should she go to Ji En's room?
As soon as this thought crossed her mind, she immediately shook her head, hoping to get rid of this nightmarish idea.
She should go to the guest room and rest for the night, and then think about what to do next tomorrow. She was tired after a whole afternoon of commotion.
Just as she was about to go downstairs, she ran into Ji En, who was coming upstairs. She wished she could just ignore him and keep going downstairs. However, her indecisive nature made it difficult for her to decide whether to stop or continue downstairs.
"You haven't gone to bed yet?" Ji En walked up and stood beside Ji Aier, asking. He had thought she was already asleep, so when he finished reading the documents and came upstairs, he was worried that he might wake her up because she usually had a light sleep.
"I was just about to go to bed," Ji Aier said and was about to go downstairs past Ji En, but he grabbed her arm.
"Our room isn't downstairs," Ji En looked at her actions and knew she was trying to avoid him again.
"I'm going to the guest room," Ji Aier said, avoiding Ji En's gaze.
"I don't want the whole Ji family to know that we're sleeping in separate rooms," Ji En still said unhurriedly, as if he were talking about something as natural as could be.
"What do you want then?" Ji Aier asked, looking at Ji En with dissatisfaction, but not daring to speak too loudly since it was already late.
"What do you think?" Ji En leaned closer to her and said.
"I don't want to waste my breath on you. I'm going downstairs," Ji Aier avoided his ambiguous gaze and was about to go downstairs, but Ji En picked her up around the waist.
"Let me go, or I'll call for help!" Ji Aier struggled, not caring that they were at the stairway.
"Go ahead and call. Our precious son will definitely be the first one you wake up," Ji En said indifferently, and then carried Ji Aier towards his room. This time, he remembered to lock the door!
"You're a rascal! A scoundrel! A villain!" These were the only curse words Ji Aier could think of. But all she got in return was being thrown onto the bed by Ji En.
Fortunately, Ji En's bed was a high-quality water bed. Otherwise, she might have gotten a concussion by now.
But before she could recover, Ji En's body was already on top of hers.
"No... Mmm..."
"Be good and close your eyes," He really wasn't used to it. Ji Aier was staring at him with wide eyes. This didn't look like a scene of a couple being intimate at all; it was more like enemies meeting.
Ji Aier didn't care about his words. She grabbed his hand and put it in her mouth, biting down hard. She used all her strength, so she quickly tasted the metallic flavor of blood. Whether it was to get revenge on him or to vent her emotions, when she saw his furrowed brows, she suddenly felt a sense of pleasure. Her hatred had never faded. But apart from furrowing his brows, he didn't struggle or ask her to let go. He just looked at her with a complex expression.
Ji Aier let go of his hand because of Ji En's gaze. His gaze reminded her of the night when Ji En took her away from the Ji family. He had looked at her with the same sad expression then. At that time, they were so innocent, and their world only revolved around each other. In that moment, she could even feel that he truly loved her. But now, as time had passed and everything had changed, when she saw that same look again, Ji Aier felt a pang of heartache. If possible, she wished time could go back to the past, to the days when Ji En used to bully her every day. Back then, her biggest sufferings were just being scolded by the butler and being teased by Ji En.
Tears streamed down Ji Aier's face. Could they really go back to the past?
