The Last Driftwood

Ji Aier leaned weakly against the wall. Her entire face makeup was completely smudged, and her white veil was covered with dust. Now she had become a down-and-out bride.

Who could she turn to for help in such a situation?

Raymond! A face that always showed concern for her flashed through her mind.

After a tug-of-war over whether to call him or not, she dialed this number that she had never called before because she really couldn't find anyone else to help her.

A magnetic voice came from the phone.

"Hello, this is Raymond!"

"I am..." Ji Aier could only get these two words out before she couldn't continue. Instead, tears welled up in her eyes like a spring.

"Is that Siwei?" Raymond asked tentatively because the voice he had just heard sounded like Ji Aier's.

"Sorry, I really don't know who else I can turn to for help!" Ji Aier said while crying.

"What happened? Where are you?" Raymond asked on the other end of the phone.

Ji Aier told Raymond her current location. She didn't know what Raymond, who was far away in Italy, could do to help her. But she really couldn't find anyone else to help her. Even if there were people who could help her, they didn't want to pay attention to her now.

Ji Aier didn't expect that Giovanni would drive and soon appear in front of her.

"Miss Siwei, the master sent me to pick you up!" Giovanni, who got out of the car and opened the car door for her, said to Ji Aier. He was already used to calling her Siwei.

"Thank you, Giovanni." At this moment, Giovanni was like a savior in Ji Aier's eyes.

"You're welcome. It's my duty, Miss Siwei!" Giovanni said and closed the car door for her.

Ji Aier arrived at the mid-hill villa. She took a shower, changed her clothes, and then sat there in a daze on the chair, not knowing what method she should think of to deal with such a complicated situation. The trap designed by Ouyang Tianlin was linked one after another, so someone as simple as her was no match for him at all.

She barely took a few bites of the lunch that Chiara made for her, and the same was true for dinner.

"Miss Siwei, what happened to make you so sad? You should take care of your health!" Chiara said with concern.

With Chiara's question, Ji Aier's tears started to fall again like pearls with a broken string.

"I won't ask anything anymore, Miss Siwei. Don't be sad!" Chiara quickly tried to persuade her.

"It's not your fault, Chiara. I'm just too stupid!" Ji Aier said with a choke. She had ruined her lifelong happiness for the sake of Ji En.

Ji Aier still spent a sleepless night. Her physical condition was deteriorating rapidly.

Raymond appeared at the mid-hill villa in the afternoon of the next day. He had flown over from Italy specially. He knew that Ji Aier must have encountered a big problem this time. Otherwise, she wouldn't have called him, and it was a call asking for his help.

"Siwei!"

Ji Aier turned around and saw Raymond. He had just gotten off the plane, looking tired, but there was a look of concern in his eyes.

"Raymond!" Ji Aier's tears welled up again. Her vulnerability always showed naturally in front of the people she trusted.
