Hostile Gaze

"From today on, you don't need to go to work in the design department. Wherever I go, you go with me. Without my permission, don't leave my sight," Ji En said to Ji Aier in the morning.

Ji Aier looked at Ji En in disbelief. Was he treating her like a criminal or what?

Ji En didn't even glance at Ji Aier. He walked past her and went out of the house.

Ji Aier had no choice but to follow him out of the house. She sat beside Ji En and looked at the scenery outside the car window. She felt that sometimes life was just like this, passing by scene by scene.

The first time Ji Aier came to the company, she came with Ji En.

As soon as she walked into the lobby, Ji Aier felt that more than a dozen pairs of eyes almost looked at her at the same time. When she looked up at them, they all lowered their heads and continued with their work. But from the corner of their eyes, Ji Aier saw the puzzled looks in their eyes: Why was she in the company and, moreover, appearing here with their president?

Just as Ji Aier retracted her gaze, she bumped into Ji En's back.

Because the president's exclusive elevator had arrived, and Ji Aier, whose mind had been in a muddle, didn't notice. So when Ji En stopped, Ji Aier didn't, and she bumped into him.

"Sorry!" Ji Aier said awkwardly and took a step back.

Ji En turned around and looked at her. With a blank expression, he walked into the elevator. It seemed that he didn't want to waste any time because of her.

On the top floor, when passing by the desk of the president's secretary, Huang Xin, Ji Aier clearly felt the hostile gaze projected by Huang Xin.

Ji Aier glanced at her and finally walked past her with her head lowered. Because now anyone could treat her however they wanted, but she couldn't do anything to others.

"President, your coffee!" Huang Xin brought in the freshly brewed coffee. There was only one cup, which was exclusively for Ji En.

"Thank you!" Ji En said, looking at the morning work report.

When Huang Xin walked out of the office, she especially took a glance at Ji Aier, who was standing there like a statue. Ji Aier didn't know why Huang Xin had such great hostility towards her. Although she had seen her and Ji En's intimate actions before, she hadn't said anything. Huang Xin shouldn't have such great hostility towards her.

Just as Ji En was about to pick up the coffee,

"Don't drink it!" Ji Aier suddenly exclaimed. She didn't know why, but her intuition told her that there was most likely something wrong with the coffee!

Ji En frowned unpleasantly.

"Do you think there's poison in it? Isn't that exactly what you want!" Ji En sneered and then took a sip of coffee without paying attention. He had already developed the habit of using coffee to refresh himself.

Ji Aier's lips moved, but in the end, she didn't make a sound. She sat aside and didn't say anything. For the whole morning, Ji En almost didn't feel her presence. She had enough perseverance to make herself achieve the kind of calm that ordinary people couldn't. That's why Ji En often used to try to provoke her, otherwise he would suspect that there was a robot beside him.

Ji Aier didn't know how Raymond would help her next. She just carefully remembered everything she saw in her mind. She wanted to find the clues she needed from these tiny hints.
