In the middle of the night, Yiren slowly woke up.
Because she had a dream that wasn't terrifying but rather sorrowful. In her dream, Ji Minze was standing opposite her, and beside him was a girl so breathtakingly beautiful that it took one's breath away!
When she tried to get out of bed, she realized that Ji Minze was lying beside her and was currently hugging her waist!
She couldn't see his face clearly, but she could feel his steady and rhythmic breathing.
He wasn't standing opposite her; he was just right beside her.
"Yiren, what's wrong?" Ji Minze, who had woken up because of Yiren's movement, asked softly.
"I want to go to the restroom," Yiren said.
"I'll turn on the light for you." After saying that, Ji Minze reached out and turned on the bedside lamp.
Yiren got out of bed and walked into the restroom.
After a while, when she came out of the restroom, she saw Ji Minze sitting at the head of the bed waiting for her.
"Are you still not used to sleeping with me?" Ji Minze asked her softly. It wasn't an accusation; it was just a concerned inquiry.
"No," Yiren immediately clarified. She climbed onto the bed and came in front of him. "Will you leave me?"
She looked at him and asked.
"No," Ji Minze said earnestly, holding Yiren's face in his hands.
"Won't you leave me no matter what happens?" Yiren pressed on.
"No," Ji Minze gave the same answer.
"I won't either! No matter what happens, I won't leave you either!" Yiren smiled.
She didn't know what she was like before, but she was now certain to tell him that she wouldn't leave him either. Nothing except death could separate them.
Yiren pushed aside Ji Minze's hands, closed her eyes, and leaned in to gently kiss him, so softly as if she were facing a person in a phantom.
They needed to cherish each other. Life was already very short, and they had already wasted too much of their wonderful time. The days ahead couldn't afford for them to squander any more.
They had to face whatever would happen in the future side by side.
Ji Minze's kiss traveled down along Yiren's collarbone, tenderly caressing every inch of her skin.
This was his wife, the woman he loved the most!
If fate could still hear their heartfelt wishes, then please give them a child!
Yiren found a new job, but this job would make everyone who knew her wear an expression of disbelief.
Her new job was working in a flower shop. Trimming flowers, arranging them in baskets, and delivering them, that was all there was to her job.
"Yiren, please deliver this bouquet of flowers to Miss Tang at this address! This is a big deal for our flower shop. The other party has reserved flowers for eight months! The service must be excellent!" Mi Lan, the shop owner, handed Yiren a bouquet of lilies and a card with the address written on it.
"Okay! I'll deliver it within fifteen minutes," Yiren glanced at the address and said.
After putting the flowers in place, Yiren rode her bicycle and set off.
"Ding dong!" Yiren rang the doorbell of the Tang family's house.
Soon, someone came to open the door.
"Hello, I'm a flower delivery person from Milan Spring Flower Shop. This bouquet of flowers is for Miss Tang Lei. Please ask Miss Tang Lei to sign for it," Yiren said with a smile to the maid who opened the door.
"Okay! Please wait a moment! I'll go call the Second Miss!" After saying that, Aunt Zhang turned around and went into the house.
Tang Lei came out. When she saw Yiren, she was stunned for a moment and reflexively covered her already swollen belly with her hand.
"Is this Miss Tang Lei? These are your flowers. Please sign for them," Yiren said to Tang Lei, still wearing a smile on her face and not noticing Tang Lei's abnormal behavior.
Yiren thought that a pregnant girl could be so beautiful. That was Yiren's evaluation of Tang Lei!
Tang Lei signed her name, took the flowers, and handed the receipt form back to Yiren. She stared at her blankly.
"Thank you! Miss Tang, your husband really loves you. He orders flowers for you every day," Yiren took the receipt form and said with a smile, then turned to leave.
Yiren thought that the person who ordered the flowers was Tang Lei's significant other because Tang Lei was pregnant!
"You—" Tang Lei didn't know how to start.
"Miss Tang, is there anything else?" Yiren stopped and turned around to ask.
"Don't you recognize me?" Tang Lei asked. Why did Yiren look at her with such a strange look in her eyes!
"You're Miss Tang Lei! I recognize you now," Yiren said with a smile, waving the receipt form in her hand. "Are there any other questions?"
"No," Tang Lei shook her head.
Yiren had forgotten her too. She had forgotten completely. She had forgotten everything related to Ji Minze, and of course, that included her.
"Then I'm leaving. Bye-bye," Yiren turned around, took her bike, and left.

Is It Okay to Be Your Female Confidant?
A dream!
This is the answer you've been searching for all your life!
I can't give it to you!
I hope you'll be happy!
Is it okay to be your female confidant beyond the physical longing?
Is it okay to be your female confidant in the lingering warmth of the unextinguished love?
I can't be the one who's inseparable from you every moment, and I can't be your forever.
So, is it okay to be your female confidant separated by time and space?
Be a female confidant who knows you and understands you but can't possess you.
Be a female confidant who loves you and cares for you but can no longer hold on.
Is that okay?
Soothe every utterance of your name with my blood.
I love you.
Only in my heart.
Let my heartbeats surge with every bit of your breath.
I love you.
Melt into my breath.
There's no time spent together in the moonlight before flowers.
Only pieces of memories flying.
That's the eternity you've given me.
Until old age and death.
There are no vows.
I don't pin my hopes on the next life.
The pain of distance.
Penetrates deep into my heart and bones.
