"Yiren is here too! We were just talking about my girlfriend being pregnant with the president!" Cui Zijun quickly responded.
"Really? Congratulations then! You'll be a father soon. This is a happy occasion!" Yiren turned to Cui Zijun and said.
"Thank you! Well, I'll go back to my office first!" After saying that, Cui Zijun closed the office door for them. Only then did he realize that his back was drenched in cold sweat. He had almost made a huge mistake.
Suddenly, Ji Minze pulled Yiren into his arms. At that moment, he felt as if he was about to faint. Tang Lei was pregnant, and she was already four months along, which meant she had decided to keep the baby.
If Yiren found out about this, would she go crazy or even impulsively choose to run away again?
"Honey, what's wrong? You look really tired today!" Yiren asked with concern, leaning in Ji Minze's arms.
"I just want to hold you!" Ji Minze buried his head in Yiren's shoulder, looking haggard.
"My husband is becoming more and more like a child. Aren't we together every day?" Yiren laughed. It wasn't like they had been apart for a long time before getting back together.
"But I still can't hold you enough!" Ji Minze murmured.
He was afraid she would leave. This sense of unease spread throughout his body, making him almost tremble all over.
"I really doubt you're already in your thirties!" Yiren laughed even more unrestrainedly. She didn't understand Ji Minze's pain, so she didn't know his unease. All she knew was that at this moment, Ji Minze looked just like a child.
"A man in his thirties, almost halfway through his life. So he can't afford to be separated anymore!" Ji Minze looked up and said.
"Are we going to be separated? No! So you can hold me for the next fifty years!" Yiren put her arms around Ji Minze's neck and said.
"Can we really be together for another fifty years?" Ji Minze asked.
"Of course. According to scientific predictions, the average lifespan of our generation can exceed 80 years old!" Yiren said affirmatively.
"Then let's go celebrate tonight that we can be together for another fifty years!" Ji Minze pressed his forehead against Yiren's and said.
"Okay! It would be even better if we could be together for sixty years!" Yiren said greedily.
"By then, you'll have no teeth!" Ji Minze showed a faint smile and said.
"And you'll be a bald old man!" Yiren laughed even more heartily.
Imagining what the handsome Ji Minze would look like as a bald old man!
In the evening, Yiren and Ji Minze went to a French restaurant for dinner. This was the very restaurant where Yiren had once said she would order the most expensive dishes and nothing else. Now the design was more stylish and romantic than it had been seven years ago, giving people a feeling of wanting to fall in love.
"I want..." When ordering, as soon as Yiren said these three words, she saw Ji Minze pause for a moment. "Are you afraid I'll order something that doesn't taste good? Then you order!" Yiren said with a smile and put away the menu.
"I'll like whatever you order!" Ji Minze handed his menu to Yiren and said.
"Then I'll order randomly!" Yiren asked again.
"Order whatever you like!" Ji Minze nodded in agreement.
So Yiren ordered several signature dishes, and her intuition told her that Ji Minze would like these dishes!
"I remember you didn't like escargots before!" Ji Minze said.
"But you like them!" Yiren smiled. Memories about Ji Minze seemed to be gradually awakening bit by bit.
Ji Minze looked at Yiren, his eyes becoming deep.
"Looking at me like this makes me think of a policeman staring at a criminal!" Yiren laughed.
"Have you remembered something?" Ji Minze asked worriedly.
"Remembered what?" Yiren asked in confusion.
"Nothing. I thought you might have remembered something!" After saying that, Ji Minze withdrew his gaze and spread the napkin.
"Honey, I somehow feel that you seem to be afraid of me remembering something?" Yiren voiced the doubt in her heart.
"Do I?" Ji Minze looked up and met Yiren's eyes and replied.
"Maybe I'm overthinking it!" Yiren said.
The two of them chatted and ate dinner! This meal took them nearly two hours.
After paying the bill, Ji Minze and Yiren walked out of the restaurant.
"I forgot my car keys. Wait for me. I'll go in and get them!" Ji Minze realized he had left his keys behind and turned to Yiren and said.
"Okay!" Yiren smiled and nodded.
She looked up at the sky and thought that tonight's night scenery was extremely beautiful and the moon was very round!
After looking away, a couple also came out of the restaurant. The girl's belly was quite big. She was obviously a pregnant woman. Suddenly, she missed a step and fell forward. Yiren was quick - witted and quickly stepped forward to support her.
"Thank goodness, you didn't fall!" After supporting the pregnant woman, Yiren let out a big sigh of relief.
"Thank you very much!" The man said to Yiren in fluent English.
"You're welcome!" Yiren looked up and replied in Chinese.
Tang Lei stared at Yiren in shock, unable to make a sound at all.
