Stubborn People, Stubborn Love

It was already a little past one o'clock in the morning.

"I'd be very happy if she did mind," Ji Minze said with a bitter smile, his gaze still fixed ahead.

"I don't quite understand," Yiren said frankly.

He didn't talk much, but when he did, his words were so hard to understand!

"My wife left me because she couldn't accept the fact that I have an illegitimate child," Ji Minze said indifferently, still looking at the road conditions, as if telling a story.

"Uh... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to," Yiren quickly apologized.

She didn't expect that her thoughtless words had brought back his painful memories!

"It doesn't matter," His tone was still so flat, as calm as a stagnant pond that couldn't stir up the slightest ripple.

"Everyone makes mistakes. As long as they can admit and correct them," Yiren said again, thinking she was comforting Ji Minze.

When we're not the protagonists in the story, we can always speak rationally and say philosophical things. But when we become the protagonists, rationality often disappears without a trace.

"Is that so?" Ji Minze turned to look at Yiren and asked faintly.

"Of course! If your wife still can't forgive you, then think like this: Maybe the next woman will be more suitable for me," Yiren said again.

"Are you teaching me to have the spirit of Ah Q?" Ji Minze asked.

"People should have an optimistic spirit. Otherwise, life would be too hard,"

"So you choose to forget all the unhappy things, right?"

"That's not it. I forget things easily because I'm ill,"

According to the doctor, it was called selective amnesia!

"When will you be cured?"

"Maybe I'll get better soon, or maybe I'll never get better. That's what the doctor said," Yiren smiled. "Turn left ahead, and we'll be at my house."

Ji Minze nodded.

How could he forget the location of her house?

There were countless nights when he drove and parked outside her house, waiting for someone who wouldn't come out to see him!

"It's very late. You should go back and rest. Thank you for sending me home," Yiren said as she unbuckled her seat belt after the car stopped in front of her house.

"Good night," Ji Minze said.

"Good night," Yiren got out of the car, waved to Ji Minze in the car, and then turned around and walked into the Long Mansion!

Ji Minze returned to the Ji Family Estate.

"Minze, you're back!" Ji Aier stood up from the sofa and walked towards Ji Minze, who had just entered the house.

She had been waiting for her son to come back!

"Mom, why haven't you gone to bed yet?" Ji Minze asked in surprise. Recently, Ji Aier had been busy with the works for the latest fashion show. She was very occupied, and it was so late today, yet she still hadn't rested.

"It's okay. Were you working overtime again tonight?" Ji Aier asked gently.

Her son was her greatest concern at the moment!

Being a mother was always hard. No matter how old her son was, in a mother's eyes, he was still a child who couldn't take care of himself, so she always worried about him.

"No. I went to a bar and sat there for a while. I just sent Yiren home," Ji Minze answered truthfully.

"Have you made up with Yiren?" Ji Aier asked happily.

"No. She's forgotten who I am again, so she only regards me as a newly - met friend," Ji Minze said dejectedly.

"That girl Yiren is just a bit stubborn," Ji Aier patted Ji Minze's arm and said. "It's very late. Go upstairs, take a shower, and rest!"

"Good night, Mom!"

"Good night!"

Ji Aier said.

Originally, she had been waiting for Ji Minze to tell him that today was exactly Tang Yiyang's first birthday, and they should call the mother and son to show their concern.

So when she went to the UK, she would also visit the mother and son. But after all, she couldn't represent Ji Minze. And Tang Yiyang had started babbling and could already call "Daddy" quite well.

But until twelve o'clock passed, Ji Minze still hadn't come back, and he just returned now.

Seeing the tired look in his eyes, she didn't want to say anything more to him. Otherwise, he would be unable to sleep all night again.

Ji Minze went upstairs, and his phone rang. He answered it.

"Hello, this is Minze," He was used to saying this, whether answering a business call or a personal one.

"Hello. I'm calling to ask if you've gotten home. There's nothing else," Yiren's voice came from the other end of the phone.

"I just got home. Thank you," Ji Minze felt a mix of joy and sadness in his heart. He was happy that Yiren cared about him, but sad that Yiren only regarded him as an ordinary friend.

"I also want to say something to you: I can see that you still love your wife very much. I believe that one day she will forgive you," Yiren said calmly on the other end of the phone.

"If it were you, would you forgive me?" Ji Minze asked as he sat on the sofa.

"Me?" There was a pause on the other end of the phone. After a while, "It depends on whether the thing happened before or after marriage."

"After marriage," Ji Minze said dejectedly.

"Then it's very difficult," Yiren said truthfully. "I'm sorry. I originally wanted to comfort you, but it seems to have had the opposite effect! But I'm me, and your wife is your wife. Maybe your wife will forgive you after a while!"

Even if he has a thousand good qualities, but he doesn't love you,

This is a flaw that you can never convince yourself to accept.

The greatest flaw of a person is not being selfish, passionate, savage, or willful,

But being obsessively in love with someone who doesn't love them back.
