"I don't want to deceive my wife anymore," Ji Minze stared into Yi Ren's eyes and said firmly. They had become strangers now precisely because he had hidden from her that he went to see the mother and child before. So he wouldn't make the same mistake again.
"Alright. If your wife has an issue with you going to see the child, I'll take responsibility for explaining it to her," Yi Ren said generously.
"Can you convince her?" Ji Minze asked.
"I think so. I believe your wife isn't an unreasonable person," Yi Ren said hesitantly, still with a hint of uncertainty.
She raised her head and looked at Ji Minze. The man was staring at her at this moment, his eyes full of tenderness.
"Yi Ren," Ji Minze gently called out, holding Yi Ren's shoulders.
"Hmm?" Yi Ren replied with a blank mind.
"I miss you so much," Ji Minze pulled Yi Ren into his arms.
She was standing right in front of him, and the way she raised her head was just like the young and innocent her in the past.
Yi Ren stood there numbly, allowing Ji Minze to hold her. She even felt a bit reluctant to leave this warm embrace.
But soon she came to her senses and pushed Ji Minze away.
"Minze, you've mistaken me for someone else. I'm not your wife," Yi Ren said.
She thought Ji Minze had taken her as a substitute for his wife.
"Sorry," Ji Minze said.
"Forget it. Considering how much you love your wife, I won't hold it against you," Yi Ren said, acting as if nothing had happened. She waved her hand and said, "It's getting late. After I send you home, I should go back home too."
Ji Minze nodded.
He was still sitting in the driver's seat, and she could only sit in the passenger seat.
He drove the car to her home.
"This is my home," Yi Ren pointed at the Long Mansion and said to Ji Minze.
She thought he had gotten the direction wrong or had forgotten that this was her car, not his.
"I know. It's very late. You should go and rest. The driver is already waiting for me at the gate of the Long Mansion," Ji Minze unbuckled his seat belt, pulled out the car keys, and handed them to Yi Ren.
He opened the car door and got out. Yi Ren also got out of the car.
"Thank you for sending me back again," Yi Ren said feeling a bit guilty.
"It's nothing. I'm leaving now. Good night," Ji Minze looked at Yi Ren and resisted the urge to kiss her.
He walked towards the gate, and she followed behind him.
"Don't see me off. You should go up and rest," Ji Minze stopped and said.
"I'd better see you to the gate. Otherwise, I'll feel even more guilty," Yi Ren said.
"Miss, you're back. Sir, won't you come in and take a seat?" The butler of the Long Mansion asked at the gate.
"Sir? Oh, Butler, you've misunderstood. He's my boss," Yi Ren quickly explained.
"It's very late. I won't bother you. Let your young lady rest early," Ji Minze said after looking at the butler. Then he got into the back seat of the car that the driver had opened for him. He waved at Yi Ren and closed the car door.
After watching Ji Minze's car drive away, Yi Ren didn't want to bother with the butler's mistake. She was very tired and wanted to go and rest.

On Monday,
the sun was shining brightly.
Yi Ren came to work half an hour early.
In a good mood, Yi Ren turned on her computer to check if there were any parts of today's weekly report that needed improvement. Finally, she said with satisfaction,
"Yi Ren, you're simply a genius!"
"Good morning, Secretary Yi," Ji Minze greeted as he passed by Yi Ren's desk when he came to work.
"Good morning, President. Good morning, Special Assistant," Yi Ren stood up and bowed in response.
Finally, Dongfang Hao passed by. He leaned towards Yi Ren and whispered,
"You're a genius anyway."
"Er..." Yi Ren's face immediately turned red. She really wanted to bang her head against the wall.
Dongfang Hao had heard her narcissistic words, which meant that all three of them had heard it!
This was so embarrassing!
While she was lost in her regretful thoughts , the internal phone rang. The number on the display was from the president's office.
"Hello, President," Yi Ren answered.
"Please make me a cup of Blue Mountain coffee and bring it in," Ji Minze said.
"Okay," Yi Ren replied.
In the pantry, Yi Ren started dealing with the coffee beans.
The aroma never lies. Whether a cup of coffee is fresh and fragrant can be revealed when the beans are being ground. At this moment, the pantry was filled with the aroma of coffee.
After brewing the evenly ground coffee powder, the fragrant coffee made people feel as if they were about to fall in love.
Yi Ren carefully carried the cup of fragrant coffee to the president's office.
"President, here's your coffee," Yi Ren said and placed the coffee on the president's desk.
"Thank you," Ji Minze said without even looking up.
Yi Ren picked up the tray, turned around, left the president's office, and closed the door behind her.
Does he have a dual personality disorder?
During the day at work, he never says a single unnecessary word. He's simply as sparing with his words as if he were sparing gold.
But at night, he would talk to her, a friend he had just met, about his wife.
And she seemed to have become his relationship counselor.
Yi Ren thought as she returned to her seat.
She didn't even notice that Ji Minze had walked out of the office and come to her desk.

Love is sometimes like a firework, shining brightly for a moment and then disappearing into the sky.
Sometimes it's like the sun, burning hot and eternal.
