Gu Yuena waved her hand dismissively."That's not important. Ditian, I have two tasks for you."

Ditian straightened up, fully attentive.

"First, I need you to gather some gold soul coins. At least ten thousand."

Gu Yuena spoke calmly.

"Sister, I can do it too!" Zi Ji quickly chimed in, eager to redeem herself.

"Come in."

A waiter stepped inside.

"Mr. Dan Heng, Lady Gu Yuena, your bill has already been settled by Lord Charles." The waiter said with a polite smile.

Dan Heng and Gu Yuena exchanged glances, neither of them having any clue who this Charles was.

Why would a stranger pay their bill?

The waiter continued,"Lord Charles is the Captain of the Imperial Guards and a noble Earl of Star Luo Empire. He wishes to meet you and have a conversation."

A noble willingly paid thousands of gold soul coins just for a meeting?

Dan Heng immediately felt wary. This was definitely trouble.

Gu Yuena's eyes, however, gleamed with excitement.

"Is this Ditian's doing? Has he already started making moves?"
