Chapter 61: Sea God

As previously mentioned, although Dan Heng helped the Divine Realm suppress the Golden Dragon King, he did not have many friends there. In fact, some gods held a grudge against him.

The most representative among them was the God of Destruction.

After Dan Heng sealed the Golden Dragon King, the God of Destruction even proposed to take him down as well.

The God of Evil, always eager for drama, watched Dan Heng with ill intentions.

It was only due to the strong opposition from the Goddess of Life and the God of Kindness that the Divine Realm ultimately let go of their hostility toward Dan Heng.

After all, from the Divine Realm's perspective, had Dan Heng not suddenly intervened, the Dragon God disaster would have ended long ago.

Would they still be dealing with an escaped "threat" now?

Therefore, though Dan Heng had come to the Divine Realm seeking the Goddess of Life, he had no desire to encounter the God of Destruction.

If he did, a battle would be unavoidable.

One day in the Divine Realm equaled a whole year in the Douluo Continent—he had no time to waste!

Thus, he decided to visit an "old friend."

Destruction Palace

The God of Destruction stood before a crystal sphere, surrounded by the other Seven Deadly Sin Gods.

Within the sphere was a projection of the Divine Realm's central control system, able to reveal any unusual occurrences in the realm.

"An outsider has broken into the Divine Realm!"

The God of Destruction's expression darkened as he spoke coldly.

His entire body was concealed within a deep purple cloak, his head covered, revealing only two glowing red orbs flickering inside. His face was obscured.

Just then, a message arrived.

The God of Destruction and the Seven Deadly Sin Gods all received intelligence from the Gluttony God.

… The Moon Drinking Lord had returned!

[Moon Drinking Lord or Lunar Sovereign, which is better. I prefer Moon Drinking Lord]

The hall fell silent, all eyes shifting toward the God of Destruction.

A terrifying aura swirled beneath the God of Destruction's cloak.

Anyone present could sense his excitement.

"Good! Very good! That bastard has finally come! And he's asking about the Goddess of Life? Excellent!" The God of Destruction spat through clenched teeth.

The Goddess of Life was his wife—his exclusive possession.

He would not allow any man to covet her, and Dan Heng was undoubtedly someone who had knowingly violated this boundary!

Using the Goddess of Life's kindness and mercy, he dared to pester her.

The Seven Deadly Sin Gods wisely chose to remain silent, sensing the fury in the God of Destruction's aura.

After laughing grimly for a moment, the God of Destruction coldly commanded, "Find out where the Moon Drinking Lord is immediately! I will wait for him here!"

The Seven Deadly Sin Gods, receiving their orders, transformed into streaks of light and vanished.

The God of Destruction muttered to himself, "Lunar Sovereign, you better not try to meet Little Green in secret, or else… you're dead!"

Dan Heng had once lived overseas on the Douluo Continent, where he had befriended someone.

That man was so enthusiastic that he had persistently clung to Dan Heng, and eventually, the two became close friends.

On the Douluo Continent, this friend was considered a rare genius, reaching Rank 100 and becoming a god in no time. After spending a thousand years alongside Dan Heng, his mortal body began to decay, his divine soul growing unstable. He required celestial energy and thus ascended to the Divine Realm.

Since then, the two had never met again. Based on Douluo Continent's time flow, it had been tens of thousands of years.

His name was… Poseidon!

As Dan Heng soared through the Divine Realm, he retrieved a conch shell—Poseidon's token.

With it, he could sense Poseidon's location, so he followed the guidance at full speed.

Moments later, he arrived at a palace dominated by hues of blue.

As he approached, a watery barrier rose around the palace.

It attempted to keep him out.

This barrier contained powerful divine energy, seamlessly blending with the sky.

Estimating the energy level sustaining this barrier, Dan Heng judged it to be stronger than even the God of Wrath.

Dan Heng gently tapped the barrier with his Azure Cloud Spear.

The watery shield paused for a moment.

Then, in the next second—it shattered.

"Who goes there?!"

A figure instantly appeared in midair.

It was a tall man clad in blue-green armor, wielding a trident and standing atop swirling ocean waves.

The moment he laid eyes on Dan Heng, his expression burst into joy.

In a flash, he was before Dan Heng, embracing him tightly.

"Brother! You finally came to see me!"

Dan Heng, uncomfortable with such enthusiasm, pushed him away. "Poseidon, I didn't come here for you."

Yes, this man was none other than Poseidon, the Sea God!

A friend Dan Heng had met on the Douluo Continent.

Poseidon sighed dramatically, feigning hurt. "Sigh, you're so direct, so heartless! Tell me, why are you here? I've heard all about the commotion you caused back then in the Divine Realm."

He grabbed Dan Heng's arm and led him into his palace.

In the Divine Realm, there were no servants, making it eerily quiet. Though first-level gods could bring one mortal with them upon ascension, Poseidon had not done so, as Dan Heng had no interest.

Thus, the grand Sea God's Palace housed only him.

Inside a chamber, Poseidon personally poured tea for Dan Heng.

Dan Heng briefly explained the situation on their way in.

"So… you need a divine medicine strong enough to heal at least a first-level god's injuries? And if you can't find one, you'll seek out the Goddess of Life?" Poseidon stroked his chin, lost in thought.

Dan Heng nodded slightly. Gu Yuena's wounds were actually even more severe.

However, he wasn't aiming for a full recovery.

As long as her condition could be stabilized and her pain eased, that would be enough.

Dan Heng added, "I want to avoid a confrontation with the God of Destruction and minimize wasted time…"

"Hah! That guy is ridiculously petty. Dan Heng, as long as you try to meet the Goddess of Life alone, he'll target you. But… I can create a diversion…" Poseidon said, intrigued.

"Good." Dan Heng agreed.

Poseidon suddenly narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing Dan Heng with curiosity. "Tell me, Dan Heng, after I ascended, did you make another close friend? Someone important enough for you to come all the way to the Divine Realm for?"

"You didn't even bother visiting your old friend for tens of thousands of years, but now you suddenly appear for someone else?"

Poseidon was full of jealousy, squinting at Dan Heng suspiciously.

Something was off!

There was definitely something off!

Dan Heng remained silent.

If he answered honestly, Poseidon would surely bombard him with endless questions!

Poseidon circled around Dan Heng, suddenly leaning in close.

"Dan Heng… we're best friends, right? For you, I'd even risk offending the Divine Kings. And yet, you're still hiding something from me?" Poseidon muttered, his voice full of grievance.

Dan Heng remained unfazed. "Move quickly. Don't waste time."

"Alright, alright. You'll come with me—"

Before Poseidon could finish speaking.

A surge of divine energy suddenly pulsed outside the palace.

"Sea God, are you here?"
