CHapter 84: This Book…?!

"Just wait until he comes out! He won't be looking so handsome once he's running for his life!" Tai Long growled in anger.

He had already made up his mind to teach Dan Heng a lesson.

As one of the top geniuses of Blue Tyrant Academy, the woman he set his sights on was not someone others could covet!

More importantly, the very same Zhangzhu, who had never given him the time of day no matter how hard he pursued her, had actually taken the initiative to approach Dan Heng.

This was a direct slap to his pride as a man!

Before long, it was time for the library to close, and many of the faculty and staff had already left.

Dan Heng raised an eyebrow slightly. Judging by their aggressive demeanor, what had he done to offend them?

Tai Long scrutinized Dan Heng from head to toe, and suddenly, all his righteous indignation vanished.

No wonder Zhangzhu had approached him first. If he were a woman, he might have fallen for this guy too!

A chubby underling scratched his head and muttered, "Boss Tai Long, he really is ridiculously handsome… No wonder Sister Zhangzhu likes him."

Hearing this, Tai Long's face turned beet red with fury. He spun around and delivered a hard kick, knocking the chubby lackey to the ground.

"Do you even hear yourself?! How the hell is he better-looking than me?! We're just handsome in different ways, but at the same level of handsomeness!" Tai Long shouted righteously.

"You all agree, don't you?"

Tai Long shot a threatening look at his other underlings.

The lackeys all kept their heads down and murmured half-hearted agreements.

Internally, though, they were all grumbling: Boss Tai Long's face is so thick… These two aren't even in the same league, and yet he's still trying to compare himself…

Dan Heng smirked slightly. Even though Tai Long and his gang were clearly here to stir up trouble, they were still far easier to deal with than the noble he had encountered back in Star Luo Empire.

Jealous teenagers were much more manageable.

"So, you're approaching me because of that girl, Zhangzhu?" Dan Heng asked.

"That's right! Zhangzhu is my woman! Anyone who dares to covet her will pay the price!" Tai Long declared loudly.

His underlings all echoed him with cold sneers, stomping their feet to apply pressure on Dan Heng.

Dan Heng chuckled and shook his head. "First of all, I have no interest in her. I'm already married."

At that moment, he realized the unexpected benefit of having a "convenient" wife to use as an excuse.

Tai Long was momentarily stunned, looking Dan Heng up and down. "You're this young… and already married?"

"Yes. I'm not a Soul Master, so I don't need to focus on cultivation. Isn't getting married at a young age completely normal?" Dan Heng replied casually.

Tai Long suddenly looked awkward. If the guy was already married, then he obviously hadn't been hitting on Zhangzhu.

And considering he was just an ordinary person, storming in with a whole gang like this made Tai Long look pretty ridiculous.

By now, a crowd of students had gathered to watch the commotion.

Fights and scuffles weren't uncommon in Blue Tyrant Academy, a place filled with Soul Masters.

And since Tai Long was known as a small-time bully, most people didn't dare to intervene. They simply stood at a distance, whispering amongst themselves, trying to figure out which unlucky fool had become his latest target.

"Wait a second… Does this mean Sister Zhangzhu wants to be the 'other woman'?" the chubby lackey suddenly blurted out.

Tai Long's face darkened instantly, and he turned to glare at the chubby lackey.

"Are you asking for a beating?! You damn idiot, I should be beating you up instead!" Tai Long growled, sending the poor lackey sprawling to the ground with another kick.

But then he paused to consider.

Wait, that's true… Even if Dan Heng already has a wife, that doesn't mean he won't try to seduce Zhangzhu.

These experienced men are the most dangerous!

Tai Long's gaze toward Dan Heng turned hostile once more.

He clenched his fists and sneered, "No, I'm still pissed off. If I don't beat you up, I won't be satisfied!"

The other lackeys also started closing in on Dan Heng, radiating hostility.

Dan Heng remained calm. "If you attack a faculty member without cause, you will be expelled under Blue Tyrant Academy's regulations."

"If you're expelled, will you be able to bear the consequences? You were accepted into this academy because of your talent, but do you have a backup plan if you're forced to leave?"

The weight of his words settled over the group.

Blue Tyrant Academy only accepted commoners—without exception.

If they were expelled, they could kiss their futures goodbye.

The mere thought of that outcome made the lackeys hesitate.

"With so many witnesses here, I can easily report this to Dean Liu Erlong," Dan Heng continued. "She's known for her strict fairness. No matter who you are, she'll expel you without hesitation."

"You're still young. If you get expelled now, it'll ruin your future."

Dan Heng's words struck a chord with them.

They had been playing around with Tai Long, but their families weren't as well-off as his.

They simply couldn't afford to be kicked out of Blue Tyrant Academy.

One by one, the lackeys backed down.

Tai Long gaped at them. "Wait, you guys—?!"

"Boss Tai Long, he makes a good point… We're all commoners. We don't have a sect backing us up."

"Yeah, Boss, you can take him on by yourself. We'll just watch."

Tai Long was speechless. Great. Now I just look like a fool.

Dan Heng delivered the final blow. "Also, if you truly want Zhangzhu to like you, acting like a brute won't win her heart. You'll only make things worse."

Tai Long clenched his fists, watching his lackeys clear a path for Dan Heng. He was fuming.

After receiving Dan Heng's book recommendation, Zhangzhu had returned to her room and begun reading.
